Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!: El Bandito (2017)
Season 1, Episode 23
10/10
One of the best Scooby episodes I've ever seen.
2 October 2022
The scene where the air is running out is amazing, having that Be Cool silliness, but at the same time being so freaking intense. It's peak television, and I'm not joking. Speaking of jokes, every joke fricking leands in this episode. It's up there with the funniest Scooby episodes. Every character arc here is fun. The Fred's arc stands out the most, though, purely because how funny and in character it is. The designs of the gang in this series add on to the humour perfectly. I love the location of this episode. And the soundtrack in the aforementioned air scene is done so well. I rarely give something 10 out of 10, but this was so worth it.

The Flash: Welcome to Earth-2 (2016)

This was crazy
1 October 2022
I'm back to reviewing the Flash and man, this episode was a great one to start with. Everything here is top-notch, and this just might be in my top three favorite Flash episodes. I loved exploring different characters and how they could've ended up. Seeing the alternate version of Kailtlin was interesting, but probably my favorite alternate character here is Joe. His new dynamic with Barry is one of the best things this episode had. I loved how Earth-2 looked, and the CGI looked really great this time. The episode also did a good job with our Earth-1 characters, with Jay's arc especially. The Wells-2 arc was also great, even though Barry's character arc was kinda flawed this episode. I think he would think that what happened to Joe is his fault. Him finding out about his mom, however, was amazing. Sure, this episode has some writing goofs, but it's amazing overall.

This continues being pretty good stuff
12 September 2022
This was a, once again, pretty fun episode that teases the things to come. I loved how the plot with Wally was tied to the main plot in this one. That was some good storytelling. The emotional journey of Wally, Joe and Iris was the best thing in this episode, which is weird, since I usually don't care for Iris plots. I still loved the Wells plot in this episode and Barry's decision at the end was amazing. I enjoyed the acting of Dr Wells and Wally in this one, and the metahuman Tinder joke was hilarious. The CGI was bad during the Zoom scenes but it was redeemed with the Tar Pit's CGI. The trap for Tar Pit ending was rushed, but overall a great buildup episode.

Felt unnecessary
11 September 2022
This was a pretty good episode with Eobard returning, and I liked that this episode basically revealed his origin story to us. However, it did feel kinda unnececcary and fillery. Like, I mean, I don't think it'll have impact in future episodes and it felt weirdly out of place in this Zoom storyline. The character development was pretty cool, especially with Barry and Patty, and Jay and Caitlin. Cisco's storyline is also very interesting. But yeah, for such an important episode, not much to say here. I will say one thing though, the CGI during the dramatic Cisco scene was awesome. Overall, can't wait for more episodes, and while this one wasn't super important, I had fun with it.

Mixed feelings
10 September 2022
Again, this is one of these episodes where I don't have much to say, but I have some notes anyway. First of all, why the heck didn't Cisco tell Barry about the Turtle? The explanation felt really weak. They deal with random metas all the time, and Cisco didn't bother telling Barry about a dangerous one? How did Barry not find out himself? Overall, though, this is just a decent episode. The acting was pretty good, the character arc with Joe and Wally was good, Barry was in character with him constantly worrying about stuff, and Dr Wells becomes more and more interesting. The big Jay reveal didn't feel as big as it should've, but the reveal at the end was interesting. I loved the Turtle's backstory, it was really creepy and made the final showdown so much better. It's weird how easy Flash defeated him though. Overall, pretty good buildup episode.

Fun, I guess
9 September 2022
I really... I really don't have much to say about this episode. But I decided to review every Flash S2 episode, so I'll at least try. I liked the villains' plot and I liked the Wally West subplot that could potentially be very interesting in future episodes. I liked Patty's story arc, and her dynamic with the Flash while not knowing that he's Barry is really interesting. I also like the Dr Wells ongoing story, it's really different from the S1 Dr Wells. In S1, he was the mastermind, while in this, he can do nothing against the big bad. I didn't like Zoom appearing at first since I would've preferred him to stay mysterious, but I liked it at the end. I loved the acting of the villains, even though Snart's actor's acting could be a little too much sometimes. Overall, a fairly enjoyable episode.

Crazy Crossover
8 September 2022
So, it's time for that thing that the Flash show always does a few times in a season! No, not a Rogues episode. A crossover. Duh. So yeah, this was a pretty fun crossover that, however, raises some questions. Now there are metahumans and immortal beings in this universe? In the Flash show, they always explain metahuman stuff by science. So magic is real now? How would Caitlin react? I did enjoy the episode, though. I loved Kendra's character devlopment and they were able to make such a frightening villain with Vandal Savage. Like they made him sound legit unstoppable, so every time Flash and Arrow battled him, I was legit scared for the heroes. Great job there. I'm a little bit dissapointed that this thing continues in Arrow since I'm not watching the show, but that's just my problem, not the episode's. I hope I won't miss any of the important Flash stuff by not watching the continuation, though. Speaking of important Flash stuff, while the Flash S2 main story wasn't the focus of this episode, it was there. I loved seeing more of Jay Garrick's character and his interactions with Wells. Although yeah, there were some stuff I didn't like here, like the overuse of slow motion or some extremely forced lines like 'We still have to stop Vandal Savage' out of nowhere at the end of the episode. And while I love Wells's actor's acting, the scene of him being shot wasn't well played. However, there's not much bad stuff here and that's just me nitpicking. Loved Barry's interactions with Felicity and I'm really excited for what the Flash will have in store next.

Filler
8 September 2022
Was I the only one who understood that Gorilla City reference? I've never seen anyone mention it here. As for the episode, I didn't really care about it. I mean, it wasn't bad, but it didn't quite feel as amazing as the others. For the positives, I liked Grodd appearing again and I loved the ending. I liked the characters in this, from diving more deep into Henry Allen's personality in an amazing talk with his son, to great Dr Wells moments. And I liked acting from both of them. I liked that Barry actually had traumatic thoughts after the Zoom battle, as many superheroes in comics and movies forget about traumatic experiences like they never happened. However, all those 'We need to be together' moments in almost every episode are starting to feel cliche now. Grodd's scenes were also great. However, there were so many things I didn't like or care about. Caitlin got out of the trance too easily. I don't think Henry Allen's 'believe in yourself' line was done well, and the CGI was not really good. And it's overall not one of those episodes I really care about.

The Flash: Enter Zoom (2015)
Season 2, Episode 6

I... wow
6 September 2022
This episode does one of my favorite tropes ever. People think it's gonna be about the thing they waited for, and then that thing just doesn't come. However, in the last ten minutes, things get absolutely crazy and everyone is like 'WTF'. Don't get me wrong, that trope is only good if it's done right. But oh boy, was it done right here. You can feel the tension before the big battle, and the thirty minutes before the awaited moment are great as well. It was full of hilarious moments which reminded me of the previous episode, so I was slowly starting to suspect that Zoom won't appear. When the crazy stuff happened, though, it was done well, not like in episode 4, where the man-shark felt out of place. This episode did a great job with character arcs. It showed how scary Zoom is and the contrast between him and the Flash wonderfully. I was worried that the Wells arc will be the same as in Season 1, but nope, they did a great job with that character too. Barry also had some great complex character moments and I like his dynamic with Patty. Cisco's scenes were fun, and while I was confused at why was he and Caitlin talking so closely to Wells, his scenes with Wells were great. Overall, WOW.

Funny but not the best
5 September 2022
Where this episode doesn't lack is the funny parts. From the Barry\Patty date and Cisco's LIVE reaction to it, to Cisco's line ("Our Dr Wells might have been evil, this one's just a d*ck!"). The story and characters were also interesting, with the cool ending to Cisco's arc and the gang's dynamics with the new Dr Wells. We also are getting more info about Jay Garrick and his backstory, and I think his character is really interesting and not the typical 'fearless mentor'. The dialogue in this felt weird and forced though, and Jay Garrick's actor's acting was not so great this episode. Dr Wells was awesome, though. Overall, an exciting episode that is pretty fun and builds up to what comes next. I will say though that everyone in Central City is super, let me say it, sus, in this episode imo. I suspected Patty to be a doppelganger clone, and same with the girl that Cisco asked out. Crazy tension indeed.

Don't have much to say
4 September 2022
I don't have much to say about this episode. I liked the story, I couldn't predict the whole Hewitt twist. I loved the new Firestorm and how it's now more similar to his comic book version, even though the whole 'New Firestorm Finding Out Barry Is The Flash' thing was kinda unresolved and not mentioned. Iris's character arc was nice and the little continuation to Cisco's arc was really cool. Everything else was good, but the dialogue could use some improving. The end felt kinda too sudden and weirdly paced, though, even though it was surprising. Overall, not the best episode this season but pretty good and I'm really excited to see all the character arcs continue in future episodes.

A surpirsingly deep episode
3 September 2022
When I was going in, I didn't expect this episode to be so deep. I read the premise before watching this episode, so I made the mistake of thinking that Snart's gonna team up with Barry's father. That would've been cool character dynamics, so when I saw Snart's dad, I was dissapointed. However, god, Snart's dad just made this episode so much better. The actor's performance is great and he brings so much to the characters' dynamics. We apparently find out that Snart's sister was physically and mentally abused as a kid, and if Captain Cold doesn't help his father, she will blow up. The end to this dad plotline was also surpirsingly shocking. Iris's subplot was also nice, and her mother's acting got better. I also didn't expect the whole drug addict stuff. Overall, this episode really, really delivers at the emotional side of things.

This episode is so hard to rate
2 September 2022
This is one of those episodes that is really hard to rate because it had many good moments, but alos many bad ones. I liked the main plot, Jay Garrick (obviously) was awesome, enjoyed the villain and team up. I love the idea of different doppelgangers and it makes me wonder if the show's gonna introudce an alternate Barry Allen later. The character arcs are also so thought out in this episode. Cisco's arc was just amazing. That's all I have to say. I thought Barry was acting out of character at first, but when it was revealed why, it became perfect character growth. Heck, even the female cop's arc was great. I'm not sure how I feel about a certain character (no spoilers) returning at the end - it would be tiresome to have him as the big bad when we have a potential great original villain, but if it's an alternate version and he wants to help, that'll make some great character conflict with him and Barry. Earth-2 looked great. However, this seemingly perfect episode was nearly ruined by some bad actor performance - especially Joe's wife, no offence but she sounded like she was reading a script. The villain's dialogue with Joe was not written or acted well. Garrick's actor was great tho. Some bad CGI here and there, but the final battle looked good. Overall, pretty good, but excited for this series to improve.

A great premiere to Season 2
2 September 2022
I admit, while the episode has some downfalls, it's a pretty good premiere overall and some parts had me squelaing in excitement. While I was confused at the beginning because I didn't understand where the whole singularity plot is, when the flashback came, it was amazing. I loved seeing how the characters changed and grew as six months passed from the events of the season 1 finale. I did not like the Caitlin plotline tho. It just felt like the exact same plot we got for Cailtlin in Season 1. I understand that the actor had to go, though, but they could've handled it better. The CGI was amazing in the singluarity battle, but not so much with the Atom Smasher. The end was really promising. Overall, excited for what comes next.

Better than I could ever imagine
28 April 2022
I was one of the people who waited for this since the beginning, and boy, it did not dissapoint.

The story was really good, I loved all the storylines of the characters, with Fred and Velma's being the most interesting. The first half was setting up the characters and stuff, and I was like "Is this it?" But no, it wasn't. When the second half of the episode starts, you're in for a big treat, especially if you're a Scooby fan. There are a lot of references, some even hard to notice. But they don't rely completely on references and tell a great story.

The acting was great. Really, really good. I wish some moments with Daphne and her rival and the 49er were told better, but the acting was amazing overall. The settings were also good, they definitely did some great work.

Overall, this was really worth the wait.

Batman Begins (2005)
10/10
My first Bat-Movie.
3 April 2022
I've been reading Bat comics for some time now, but ironically, never sw any movies. Eciding to start with this one, I was not dissapointed.

You know that stereotype that action films don't have any meaning or philosophy in them and are just one big fight scene? Totally not the case with Batman Begins. This movie breakes that stereotype like a giant breaking a bug. The fighting scenes are amazing, sure, but this movie also has a meaning to it. A meaning about justice and revenge, battling villains and becoming one of them.

This movie is set in a human world. Bruce is just a person. And while I can't imagine how hard must it be to have a life as hard as Bruce's, we can relate to his actions if we really think about what we will do in this situation. I don't think they had a world 'supervillain' said ones in the movie, even though there are supervillains. It's just a human take on them, where you also can relate to supervillains sometimes. A big example is the Scarecrow.

I loved how they placed all the Bat elements in the real world. You should've seen my reaction when I first understood what is Bruce transforming that cave full of bats into.

Batman Begins is a must-watch. It may not be the best movie I've ever seen, but it's definitely good.

A good show
31 March 2022
Don't expect top level of entertainment while watching this show. However, it's a nice show so far, and I'm sure you'll agree. The old-timey feel is there, but it doesn't feel too old for the modern generation. Has some weak episodes, but it's ok.

3.8\10 - the quality is kinda going down now, but it's a good show so I think it'll go up again.

I love that they are actually adressing Cuphead's fear of the Devil, usually those main characters are like living a normal life, not caring that a monster wants to kill them. Overall, fun episode, but I hope the Devil turning into stuff to get the sweater won't get too repetitive.
