I'm Dying Up Here (2017–2018)

I'm Dying Up Here is not a comedy

This is a very great and underrated show but one of the main reasons It lost a lot of viewers on that pilot episode was because many saw the show was about standup and thought it would be like Seinfeld or Crashing. The show is a character study and analyzes the reasons people become comics as well as the pitfalls many comics go through. The show gets very dark and the pilot is one of the darkest episodes. The drama is ramped up even more in season 2 and the show really gets its footing after the end of season 1. It is a shame Showtime canceled this but the conclusion isn't that bad of a cliffhanger.

I don't really know if you have to watch these shows to watch the new movies coming out and I'm sure if you do 90% of the audience who didn't watch the disney+ shows will be terribly confused. Anyways the show reminds of another Marvel show The Defenders. Season is painfully average except for one episode which makes you finish the show wanting more like that episode. For this show that episode is the fourth episode. The show if needed for the movies is basically a mandatory watch for the mcu.

TLDR painfully average but is most likely necessary for new mcu movies.

If you haven't seen Daredevil season 3 yet and haven't watched this you will most likely need to avoid confusion. It is a shame as the watch is not great except for one episode. By the time I got to the third episode I thought I might just stop watching but I gave it another chance. The third episode was the only thing which kept me watching the rest of the series as it is the peak of the show in directing, writing, cinematography, and acting. Really a shame that the rest of the series couldn't be like the third episode.

TLDR Show is average except for the third episode 7-10 Average.

Luke Cage (2016–2018)

Luke Cage starts off with great with the first half of the first season but after that starts to derail. I will not say why as it is a spoiler but the show never comes back to the same quality in writing or acting after. It is a shame as the first half made for good television and I kept on watching to the end of the second season to see if it ever got back to that quality but sadly it didn't.

TLDR Starts off good but then turns to average.

Iron Fist (2017–2018)

Iron Fist would be a great character to make a show on but the character on the show isn't really Iron Fist. While Netflix made 2 great Marvel shows the only reason they really worked is because they were able to mesh the grittiness and characterization with Punisher and Daredevil being perfect for the mesh. The problem with Iron Fist is that they try to make the show so gritty that they mess up his character. The only reason to watch this is to watch the defenders which is only worth to watch for the third episode and Daredevil season three. A tip if you want to watch this show and already know the character from other media is to separate them as they are practically two different characters.

6/10- Bland.

Great episode but does not really feel like a finale in any way. I understand they want to push the end to another season but I don't know if there were will be pacing issues because it took 8 years for like 10 episodes and Season 2 would all be around 1 year. It should still be a good season though with all the development between not just Escobar but Steve and Javi. This was overall a great season of television and I will most likely enjoy next season. This has to be the best Netflix original show.

Pablo's downfall is soon! This was a great episode and I'm loving to see how every character has become corrupted through the ordeal really a great show and definitely can recommend. I'm about to watch the finale and I'm excited to see where things go.

Almost as great as episode 6 I wonder if Pablo will have a taste for vengeance now. I can't wait to see how they wrap up this season and I also wonder if the next season will be a new story or something. Great Episode!

Good episode but didn't live up to the last episode. I wonder if a deal will have to be made or not I can't tell the way the show is going. Murphy is starting to have some more development this episode too.

The show is really starting to get moving and I expect to see the start of Pablo's downfall in a few episodes. Really great episode and also Luis Guzman gave a great performance this episode. I'm excited to see where the next episode goes.

It's war, then. These are the last words spoken in the episode and I am excited to see where this goes. Everything is ramping up to a climax point and I can't wait to see it all unfold! Pascal just gets better and better every episode as well as the story I can't wait to watch the next episode!

I didn't even know about M-19 or any of that stuff I just knew about how Pablo sold cocaine this show made me really realize how much power he had over Columbia. What a great show so far!

It wasn't as great as the pilot but still a good 40 minutes of television. I am noticing that Pedro Pascal's character might become a main character and I'm cool with that because his performance has been great! Other than that I can't wait to watch the new episode.

What a great pilot! I just started watching this show out of curiosity because the reviews here on IMDB are great and they are not wrong this has to be one of the best original pilots on Netflix. If the rest of the show is like this I'll easily give it a 9.
