Ellie & Abbie (& Ellie's Dead Aunt) (2020)
Brilliant, funny and beautifully queer
Ellie & Abbie is exactly the type of movie that I would have loved to have had as a teen but that I still got so much out of in my 30's.
Full of laughs with a few tear jerking scenes that sneak up on you, this is the perfect queer story to watch with your mum!
Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (2019)
an unpopular opinion
Snoooooooze. I struggled through this movie. I appreciate that it's meant to be visual but really?
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
A joyful Hitler story?
Such a great satirical piece. Writing was excellent. So many laughs!
Bombshell (2019)
incredible performances
An incredible cast and performance. It was refreshing to see such a great cast of women but a shame that this can only happen with such a horrific story.
Broad City: Two Chainz (2016)
chain belt
One of my all time favourite episodes of the show! This friendship is everything I wished had been aired earlier in my life. a laugh a minute :):):)
Fingersmith (2005)
Great writing excellent cast
I loved the film and then I loved the book. This was a rare time when a film made me want to read a book and both were as excellent as each other. I hate a story with a queer story line for the sake of having one but Fingersmith has so much else going on that the queer storyline seems much more like a sub plot.
Loving Annabelle (2006)
No thanks
This movie was unnecessary. I want to see more queer films where no one is a predator.
Imagine Me & You (2005)
Great rom-com
First of all excellent casting of the leading roles. Loved Lena and Piper in these roles.
It was so great to see a rom-com with a queer twist and a happy ending.
