The Winchesters (2022)
Intriguing and can't wait for more.
I enjoyed it a LOT! As someone who went to High School and college in the 70's I was especially anticipating this show. While I admit I grew up in the midwest where fashions were usually behind a year or two, some of the cast's apparel didn't click for me. But that was my only small criticism.
I especially loved the PTSD storyline and I hope they continue it. Like I said, living in the times where my male friends were dreading the draft call each year, that is an intensity I can relate to. Plus, knowing some guys who came back changed. It wasn't addressed back then so I'm glad this show is doing that. Drake Rogers is soooo believable as John.
It saddens me to see Supernatural fans dis the show when they didn't want to like it from the get go. Why even watch or come on here to slam it. It don't think they can be objective. It's' NOT Supernatural, and it's not supposed to be. Give it a chance.
Walker: Independence (2022)
Backdrop beauty
I'm excited to see a western on the small screen. The time is right. I think people are looking for escapism that isn't totally fantasy. The world is in turmoil with many unknowns and a western takes us back to a time when we thought things were more straight forward. However, they have found a way to expand our antiquated thoughts of the old west and created a much more realistic diverse group of people.
The outdoor scenes were spectacular. They introduced a lot of cast members that were full of life, but I felt very connected to most of them in that short 42 minutes. Some great chemistry is going on as well.
Supernatural: Carry On (2020)
Heartbreaking but beautiful!
So so hard to say goodbye, but I had to separate my grief from the great storytelling of their ending. They got the peace when they were done. 😢
