Accused: Laura's Story (2023)
Worst episode so far
I've really liked all of the episodes so far as they portrayed issues within the world perfectly. This episode is just beyond extra. Nobody would rally or go against a family and accuse them of FAKING a school shooting. That's not how the internet works, it would very much be the opposite. And what about the other killed children, and those families? Did the other parents really just not care that they were indirectly being told their children aren't actually dead? All the other episodes were realistic and informed people of important world issues, but this one was just stupid and exaggerated.
Bake Squad: Kicking Cancer Celebration (2021)
Bakers did nothing
This episode had probably the least effort. I mean, one dude literally just poured chocolate into a mould and added a crown. One girl just made cakepops and added a ton of fake greenery. Another just made gummy bears. Like...these aren't bakers, are you kidding. Based on the previous episodes you'd think they'd put more effort for the cancer survivor.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022)
Can y'all just rate the movie and not how it relates to the original?
Seriously, all the bad reviews are talking about how it doesn't match up to the original, or how the stories don't match, or how it's another bad sequel. Stop rating a movie based on its relation to the others. Rate it based on the actual movie, the actors, the originality. This movie has outstanding new actors and great gore/thrills. Enjoy the damn movie and stop comparing things.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Just an exaggeration of what's already happening
I really enjoyed this movie, honestly. It was just an exaggerated reflection of how our world works and it's unbelievable. One of my least favorite things would be the ending. I loved that they made the ending solemn and I was seriously on the verge of tears, until the song started playing. Then it showed a severed whale, a "You've reached your weightloss goal!" notification (because they're dead), etc. They tried to make it funny again, and it just didn't fit well.
The Shack (2017)
Y'all Christians
Netflix didn't indicate in any way this was a Christian film. I thought it would be a suspenseful kidnapping film, nah, just the Christians again. Waste of 30 minutes.
Vivo (2021)
Adults that negatively rate a kids movie are strange
The animation is really great! Why are people calling the animation terrible or sub-par? Can you do better? I'd love to see what you guys have to say about movies with ACTUAL bad animation...
Initiation (2020)
Why reviewers, why?
I genuinely want don't want to show these reviewers a movie with actual bad acting if they think THIS movie has bad acting 😳 it's literally not bad, y'all's standards are beyond me. Good movie honestly. My only complaint is that it took over 30 minutes for someone to actually die and for the real plot to begin.
Coherence (2013)
Just say you're not competent
This was actually an INCREDIBLE movie! However, it's definitely more for those who already have a grasp on alternate realities and how they work. The majority of these reviews are from people who didn't actually understand the movie. Also, a shaky camera does not warrant a 2 star review, thank you.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Bad reviews need to shut up
"It's illogical", yeah, it's a movie about aliens, stop worrying about the logic. "The kids are stupid and put everyone in danger", giant murderous aliens came to earth unexpectedly, I think I'd make a few stupid frantic mistakes, too, as a KID. "They didn't explain where the aliens originated", yeah, they did- a meteor from outer space, it was kinda obvious- not like they can tell you where they came from. In conclusion, stop giving a movie with good actors, good creatures, good animation, good scenery, and a good plot a bad review just because you find the actions illogical or stupid. I bet you'd die within the first 5 minutes of this apocalypse. And no, it was not just like the other movie at all, people need to chill tf out with their exaggerations.
Sweetheart (2019)
Only one minute into this...
Only one minute into this and I'm using this review as a counteract to the 2 star review someone made just because there were shoeprints on the sand. Who gives a movie 2 stars because you saw a minuscule mistake... in the scenery?
Never Have I Ever (2020)
Not bad but main character acting is terrible
The movie and plot is pretty cute, and not bad, it is funny. However, the main character's acting is sooo much more dramatic than any other actor's. Nobody talks like that, hun. Nobody.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
Gen x is mad
Why are all the reviews solely focusing on the fact that it's not like the 90s. Like, c'mon, there are so many great factors to this movie and you want to give it 1 star because it's not what you expected. ONE star because you didn't like ONE thing about it. Chill. It's actually a really good movie, enjoy something different for once.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Reviews are so judgmental
Y'all are saying how predictable this film is, but I'm well over an hour in and I have no idea what y'all are talking about. And the acting is NOT bad at ALL, y'all just have certain expectations for Chris Rock because he's a comedian. I never understood why people get so hateful when a comedian decides to try something other than comedy, he's actually really good in this film. It's a good movie. Chill out.
The Possession of Michael King (2014)
So annoying
This would be a decent movie if it weren't for the annoying "jumpscares". A quiet moment, then a sudden, very very loud, static jump scare isn't clever. Just stopped watching midway through, I can not handle that crap.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
Awkward awkward awkward...
Please, y'all, what the hell is this? 😠this movie is just so awkward to sit through, I'm getting second hand embarrassment literally. A few memorable quotes include "(teen to the doctor) I've heard you have a really hairy belly, can you tAkE oFF yOUr sHiRt and sHoW mE? Please? Pleaasee?" and "You have really pretty, white, soft hands, can I see them? (woman proceeds to suck on the poor doctor's thumb)" Yes, that's exactly how it sounds ✋ IT'S SO WEIRD, NO. I don't care if that's the point of this movie or something- whoever watches this and enjoys it needs help.
Shadow in the Cloud (2020)
Y'all need to chill
Y'all in the reviews need to chill. You can't write a bad review on something that just isn't your style of movie. It's weird but it's hilarious. It's still well done and well acted. It's called fiction, crap is gonna be unrealistic. Calm down. It didn't meet your expectations?? You poor babies.
It Cuts Deep (2020)
Awkward awkward awkward
So like I said, oh, so awkward. The main characters' relationship is just... not a relationship. The girlfriend's acting is beautiful, she's very talented, the actor who plays the boyfriend on the other hand, this is not your area. Sometimes I genuinely want to punch him through the TV. Now, it might be because of the bad script writing, but wow, he's not great. The jokes are just poor quality dad jokes. The trailer was completely misleading, glad we wasted a coupon code rather than paying six bucks for this thing.
The Ritual (2017)
My favorite horror movie ever!
This has literally been my favorite movie ever since it came out, I haven't watched anything so far that has beat it yet! The cinematography, the acting, it's all gorgeous. I love the storyline, "What could go wrong with a cut through the woods?" The creature is brilliant and horrifying. I was not expecting the village, but it was a surprise nonetheless that I enjoyed very much, it tied the whole story together. The jumpscares and the creature's abilities were really amazing. I will never forget this movie.
Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (2020)
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium??
That is the first thing my mind went to when it opened to a large shop, full of moving toys.. and magic. Not original there, but still definitely original. Was not expecting a musical, though, so that was surprising. Pretty cute, my little niece loved the music.
