The entire season was very entertaining and almost without any drama. I couldn't wait that a week passes so I can watch new episode.
Young guns are acting more mature than some of the most mature cooks/chefs we've seen pass 19 seasons.
SPOILER
Only thing I disagree with, is the winner. Trenton definitely didn't deserve it more than Megan. In episode 14, while they were all "on the pass", Megan caught every mistake she's been served, she's very vocal and knows how to lead a brigade. On the other hand, we had Trenton who was repeatedly said by chef Ramsay "T-U-N-A", and he just stood there without any understanding, like Gordon was speaking some unknown language. He missed every mistake on the pass in episode 14, as well as at the service in the finale. Gordon was literally babysitting him. He would point out every mistake to him, and even after pointing, Trenton was still confused. For example, in the finale, Gordon called Trenton to the pass to check the risotto and asked him what was wrong with it (because clearly Trenton wouldn't do it by himself). Trenton tasted it and said: "It need salt", and Gordon said: "It's undercooked! It's crunchy!"
Megan never let anything by her and didn't need Ramsay to tell her what to do. She was a natural.
So how is it possible than that Trenton won? I'll tell you. Because he had sad life story, and was simply Gordons favorite young gun, that he can shape at his own will. He couldn't do that with Megan, cause she was already fully formed chef, even at the age of 22. When I saw Trenton receiving the first black jacket - I knew he would win. And when I saw Gordon taking care of him like a dad on the services that came after - I was 100% sure. Gordon can't hide when he likes someone more than the other. He just can't, so I could predict every winner on the pass 19 seasons, either when they received a black jackets, or right before "the doors" in final episodes.
