Dune (2021)
9/10
It's fantastic and I don't regret having a high expectation on this
17 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I did put a high expectations on this. And guess what? It exceeded my expectations!

Everything about this movie is fantastic, the storyline, the CGI, the audio, the actors, and yeah basically everything.

It's quite confusing actually, in the beginning of the movie, a lot of unfamiliar names and places, but as it goes on, everything started to make sense.

The pace of this movie is slow and I think that's adequate, because if it's a bit faster, I'm not gonna follow haha.

Everything is explained slowly and clearly, even though some mysteries still hanging around for upcoming sequel (to be answered), but what needs to be answered in this movie (in my personal opinion) is answered.

As I realized that this movie is going to be the first movie of Dune chronicles, I also realized that it has created a good, solid base of the main story, the main problem, the main reason (idk if there's more reason, we'll find out!) of why Paul is in Arrakis.

I really enjoyed watching this, the sense of politics is somewhat strong and I kinda like it. Almost three hours passed and it doesn't even feel that long.

As Chani said, "It's only the beginning," and I'm looking forward to the sequel!

Also, appreciation for the visual of Timothee and Zendaya. They're really pleasant to look at!!!

Geez & Ann (2021)
4/10
My expectation is way too high
14 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was excitedly waiting for this movie as I am interested to its trailer. I set a high expectation for this movie because lot of people also said the book is so good, so I think the movie will be too (I didn't read the book), but I was wrong.

Everything happened so fast in the movie, especially in the beginning of it and it happened all of sudden without any clear explanation or profound storytelling. In the middle part of the movie, we could see it mainly just Ann and her's mixed feelings, which I thought why don't you explain more how they could meet and fall in love from the beginning until the middle of this movie. Even better, make it a sequel so that everything is clear. Through the end, I personally feel the trigger for the main conflict to happen just not that strong, the reason is pretty simple. Can you guess? Yes the birthday things, Geez couldn't make it and you could be sad but that's it, why would you ended it? What bothered me the most is the fact she wrote that the relationship is only one sided. Another thing is the fact that Ann is the one that makes this couple come into their situation, which also because of Geez's mom, but at the end as we all can see, when Geez want to clarify everything and ended things nicely, Ann was mad and she ran away and crying. What a cliche.

Then the movie end.

I also think that Ann and Bayu relationship makes more sense, even though we're not shown how they could grow and fall in love, but we know they're knowing each other for years. Plus, Ann has a lot of friends, but none of them have enough portions to be portrayed, I barely remember their name since they just slightly come and go and that's it.

Conclusion, it's a waste of time. My thought initially: yeay finally Indonesian's fresh romance movie~ but no it's just basic and cliche.

Unnecessary sequel
27 September 2020
The movie's still fun to watch, however it's not as good as the first one. What bother me the most is the twist on its ending, it seems forced and just too sudden.

Stupendous
27 September 2020
This movie is related to every single person on this planet. Because at some point of our lives, we at least once ever felt alone, lonely, unwanted, neglected. Maybe not as extreme and painful as Joker experience. Joaquin successfully brought up the atmosphere and vibes and feeling that Joker felt, he delivered it well so we could get it, relate to it. The cinematography is awesome, with the lighting and shooting angle, we're brought in there. The music has the right vibes and placement throughout the movie.

Joker is that type of movie that you need to watch, a true masterpiece that u can't miss.

Enola Holmes (2020)
8/10
Fun to watch, even though a little bit boring
23 September 2020
The movie told us about Enola, Sherlock's sister. She had never been in any school and taught only by her mother, she's smart, diligent, and brave. One day, her mother was missing and she wanted to find her. While in a way of finding her mother, Enola learning and experiencing the outside world, she also meet a company.

The case is actually pretty simple once it's untied. However, the progress to untie and solve the problem that was given is appealing. The presence of Sherlock and Mycroft are making this movie more interesting to watch. Moreover, it's a little bit boring at almost the ending. Enola spent a little too much time to solve this and we should watched her getting here and there, while it's just doesn't really necessary.

It's an eight for me. It's fun to watch, the problems aren't too heavy yet still leaves a good message that we could simply get.

I like it!!!
22 September 2020
I saw a lot of bad news and reviews about this drama, so I never thought about watching it. Eventually I watched it and it's not that bad, actually it's pretty good drama. Even though I don't really like how So-ah sometimes behave, and the conflicts that they have just felt like being forced, overall I could enjoyed it. In fact, I want to rewatch it. Another thing, the plot is kinda slow, so I give eight for this drama.

Worth to watch, especially in this quarantine time!!! I love both main and second couples, they're cute and their chemistry is on point.

Disappointing
21 September 2020
I must said, I did put an expectation for this movie as Chandra said this will be good. He's right, the cinematography is amazing, the cast played their roles almost perfect, everything is good but two:

The storyline itself, while in my pov it's an essential part of a movie. It's indeed good at the beginning, but the rest wasn't so good. It seems like they forced several events to happen when it wasn't needed. The worst part, actually, was the twist in the ending. It's supposed to make the viewer shock, however it's just didn't make any sense and, once again, it seems forced.

Then, the jokes. Some of it just wasn't in a right time and some just didn't necessary.

Last, this movie worth to watch to spend your leisure time and don't put any expectations in it, you'll be disappointed.

It's classic and beautiful!
9 September 2020
I must say that this is the most beautiful Disney princess live-action movie that I've ever watched. The storyline is still the same as we all already know, however the cast, the scenery, the CGI, the dress, the music, everything is perfect. Lily James and Richard Madden are completely astounding! Worth to watch!!!

Unlike other kdrama
2 September 2020
Extracurricular is a korean drama that talks about minor persecution issues. The idea of the story is brilliant, you would not find a 100% good man in this drama, all of them just being a true human. There are lot of implicit messages, such as Oji's pet crab. The ending left us with a lot of questions, so I'm hoping for season 2 ASAP!

Heartwarming
1 September 2020
I could not describe this drama better than the words 'heartwarming'.

The storyline itself is actually simple and cliche, but it's fun and addicting. You'll see how the three main characters help each other to figure out their problem through the dreams they have.

It's a 10 because this drama is heartwarming and beautiful and worth to watch, more than once.

Hard to forget; the best kdrama
1 September 2020
I have watched this drama two times and I'm still amazed. This drama is so beautiful.

The storyline is well-written, you'll ride roller coaster while watching this; sad, happy, laugh, mad, every possible feeling you have will come out when you watch this.

The cinematography? No joke, mesmerizing. You'll see beautiful scenery from both actors-actresses and the place itself.

The soundtracks! You'll fall in love with every songs included in this drama.

I don't think there's anything more I could say, it's a 10 for me.

Must watch!!!

Thrilling, but not special
1 September 2020
Peninsula is an adventurous movie with thrilling sensations, but there's nothing new nor special about it. Unlike the first one. I know, it's been said that this movie will be completely different from Train to Busan, yet I didn't expect this to come like that. When you watch the movie, you'll know what I mean. As I mentioned several times, even though it's not special, it's still worth to watch in your spare time

Game of Thrones (2011–2019)

A series that has everything on it
1 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This series is stupendous, in their earlier season, and always gives me chills. There's no doubt that the season 1-5 have the most well-written storyline. Everything is in its place and they would finally get the answer when the dots are connected. There's dwindle in season 6 & 7, then come the worst season; season 8.

This series is that special and beautiful. You could see everyone point of view. You could see the dark side of human and how greed could turns someone into. We could love and hate a character in one time, this series is just something. There's no enough words to explain about how great GOT is.

However, as I said, season 8 is the worst season (for me) and here's the reasons why:

Throughout the seasons, we would always get pictures of how great, magnificent, and mysterious the night king is. I remember, there's A scene in the night king's castle with a baby. I always curious and wondered about who is he, what is he, how can he be that powerful and dreadful. But guess what, he's been killed, by Arya. No doubt, the first time I watched that war, I was amazed and thrilled, but once I rewatched it, isn't it too easy? I thought he's that powerful. And the worst one, there's no further explanation about who he really is and how can he be like that. I think I'm just going to read the book.

We all know that Daenerys would turn into the cruel character, seeing how she's been portrayed all this time with her idealism. But I don't really get it, about how the war in king's landing could be that chaotic and she suddenly just burned the whole city. And of course, she's dead, killed by Jon.

I actually have never imagines that what I read in twitter, several days earlier, would become the ending of GOT. Bran is the king. I could accept it now, but the scene where people listen to Tyrion, even though he's my favorite character, just bother me. I mean, he's a prisoner at that time and why would you listen to him? I understand that they want to become a democracy, but the execution to get there just doesn't make any sense at all.

If there's one thing I enjoy from season 8, it must be Sansa become The Queen of The North.
