The Middle: Mother's Day II (2011)
Season 2, Episode 21
8/10
Relatable
30 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
There is nothing more relatable as a mom than getting the whole day to yourself and not being able to enjoy it because of *life*. Even though Frankie was acting ridiculous in this episode, I felt it was completely real to life and I sympathized with her. Axl was super annoying in this episode and I did not really think Arlo was needed but overall it was a good episode.

I needed more characters for this review so I will say this is the beginning of an interesting on-going storyline with Axl and "weird Ashley". I believe we meet her in the next episode? Anyways, I rated an 8. Good episode for moms.

Meh
24 April 2024
I'm feeling disappointed with how unlikeable Frankie has become this season. Her outbursts and selfishness is not a good look for her. Sure, nobody is perfect but she is going to the extremes, imo. Hopefully the rest of the season will balance it out and I will find her enjoyable again.

On a happier note, I'm finding Axl more tolerable. Mike, Sue, and Brick feel like fleshed out characters now and they are becoming my favorites to watch. I hope the writers continue this up! Im loving Frankie's parents and the fact that Norm Macdonald plays Mikes brother. Home run in the casting department!

I'm excited to see how the rest of the season goes!

Great season 2 opener
3 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I'm trying to not get too invested in this program because I am still upset with the Hallmark channel for how they wrote season 10 of When Calls the Heart, but it's hard not to. This show is so fun and mysterious and keeps you glued to the tv. I was nervous with how I would like it due to the ending of season 1 but I'm glad to report that I'm still on board.

There are so many theories going around after this episode and I'm obsessed with reading what fans are saying online.

Is Elliot a villain? Did Colton time travel? When will we see Jacob? What does Del know??

The speculation is fun and I'm excited to see where this show goes! Kudos to the writers, directors, and the rest of the cast & crew.

When Calls the Heart: Deep Water (2023)
Season 10, Episode 9
9/10
Fav episode of the season so far
29 September 2023
Finally an episode that had me glued to the tv. This season has been such a bummer that I'm finally glad to have an episode that I truly liked. It's becoming more evident that Elizabeth has A LOT of feelings but the ambiguity of it all is frustrating. I know they are waiting for the right moment for her to express herself but the wait is just too much for us viewers. Again, fans who think she will flip to Nathan are being drug along because of ratings. And because it seems like the new showrunner doesn't quite know these characters. I am still feeling disappointed with the season and the plot lines but this episode was a little bit of a relief from the disappointment. Let's hope we can wrap off this season in a poignant way (I doubt it but let's *hope*). Let's give the Nathan fans their time to grieve and let's REALLY hope that season 11 is full of the magic and romance that has been lacking...... M. E. L. A (Make Elizabeth Likeable Again).

When Calls the Heart: Best Laid Plans (2023)
Season 10, Episode 7

Best laid plans
16 September 2023
I think most fans can agree that this has been a slow and boring season so far. The hot springs was a refreshing surprise but is now a boring plot point. The Coulters finally becoming parents was exciting but has fizzled fast. Now it seems like the fans only care about the fate of Elizabeth's love life. Elizabeth is having WAY too many scenes with Nathan, and it's making the McGarries act more strange than ever. They are completely okay with ruining the integrity of the show simply because they have a weird obsession with Kevin McGarry. They think it would be fine for Elizabeth to break off an engagement and erase the past 3 seasons and THAT would make a good show? Please. Shame on the writers if they ever went in that direction. That would be a sure fire way to run the show to the ground and turn it into a soap opera. Let's hope that in Season 11 we get a lot more romantic scenes with the newly wedded Elizabeth and Lucas and less scenes with Elizabeth and whiny Nathan.

Boy Meets World (1993–2000)

Comfort show
2 September 2023
BMW is a show that can't be taken too seriously. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the first 3 or 4 seasons are the best but then it starts to deteriorate. Season 1 is a show you could watch with your 7-10 year old children but season 2 is where they "age up" the characters. Characters change and plot lines change which is why you can't take the show too seriously. Let it be your comfort show! This show has a lot of nostalgia for us 90s kids. Teens today might not like it as much because the "family sitcom" is basically non existent in 2023. For those who don't already know, Danielle (Topanga), Will (Eric), and Rider (Shawn) have started a re-watch podcast called Pod Meets World and they are currently going thru the series and giving their own opinions and comments about the show. I find it very entertaining and it makes me appreciate the show even more! Give them a listen and give the tv show a try! 9/10.

Blossom: My Sister's Keeper (1991)
Season 1, Episode 2
8/10
Cute episode
20 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I am only a few episodes in to this series but it looks like the Bobby character does not continue on as Blossom's love interest. How very disappointing! This episode was super cute but in the end, the plot turns out to be pointless since we may never hear about Blossom dating Bobby again. However, I enjoyed seeing big brother looking out for little sister. I hope to see more of those plot lines instead of the usual "big brother is a bully to little sister" plot lines that we normally see in sitcoms. The dad does a great job being the typical over protective dad too. I would also give a thumbs up to the acting and humor in the series so far.

The Way Home: Not All Who Wander Are Lost (2023)
Season 1, Episode 10
5/10
Frustrating
27 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Spoilers ahead: This was such a weird finale because each plot was sub par. The last 2 minutes was about as interesting as it got.

Jacob followed the time traveling dog to the pond and fell in. It looks like he time traveled back to 1814. This was a theory from the beginning so it wasn't a big surprise. I think the only real surprises were the Elliot/Kat breakup (which made ZERO sense and didn't need to happen) and that Kat is the white witch after all. It seems like season 2 will be a lot of traveling back to 1814 and searching for Jacob. At least, hopefully, Del will find out about the pond- if she doesn't already know about it. I just hope we don't get a drawn out plot of Del being upset that Kat & Alice have been hiding this secret from her.

Now I will have to watch the series from beginning to end to see how it all flows together before I make a final decision on if this is actually a good show or not. I will give Season 2 premiere a chance but if it doesn't wow me, I don't think I will continue watching the show :(

The Way Home: The Day the Music Died (2023)
Season 1, Episode 9
7/10
Heartbreaking but disappointing
21 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The following contains spoilers: "It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then."...Unless you are Alice, Kat, or Del. Three women who have shown hardly any character growth in the last 11 episodes. I want to preface my review by saying the 3 actresses portraying these characters are amazing. Sadie, Chyler, and Andie all deserve better than what they are given with these characters. Let's start with Alice.

Alice is too busy making memories in a time period that she wasn't even supposed to be alive in. She falls in love with a boy (because apparently that's all young girls care about according to Hallmark) and treats her mother (in the present) like trash. It takes her WAY too long to realize that her crush is actually a 40 year old man in REAL time and takes WAY too long for her to become uncomfortable with that fact. It's absolutely creepy. What's the point in watching Alice fall in love in the 90s when we know it won't amount to anything. Wasted time.

Now let's talk about Kat. She's probably the most unlikeable character in the series which is really a shame. She flits around from man to man, and whatever happened to the Andy character? Waste of time (again) because we know she belongs with Elliot. She knows Alice is in love with Nick (again, creepy) yet doesn't sit down and talk to her about the inappropriateness and just lets her daughter spiral in her teenage emotions. In this episode, she has her boyfriend and daughter beg her to stay in the present with them but nope. Curiosity killed the cat. She goes back in time to "stop" her fathers death but ends up causing it. Predictable but it didn't have to be. Bad writing. How is Kat supposed to move on with life knowing she caused her fathers death and possibly her brothers disappearance?? That's enough to drive a person mad.

Del- whew. She is a roller coaster of emotions in every episode. Her husband died 20+ years ago in a terrible accident and she thinks he *might* (even though they had an amazing marriage until Jacob went missing) have been seeing another woman and that erases all the good things about him?? She's holding on to an unnecessary grudge. Even when Kat is proving that Colton was a good guy, Del can't seem to get over it. Bad writing.

I almost don't want to watch the finale. It's been predictable that Jacob fell in the pond and is stuck somewhere. Genius Elliot couldn't figure this out already? Anyways. The episode gets a 7/10 because the acting is great, especially Chyler at the end. I was mad but also moved by her performance. PLEASE can we get some redemption for these characters in season 2?

The Engagement Plot (2022 TV Movie)
7/10
Rachel Boston shines
26 August 2022
This is one of Rachel's best performances. She nails every scene and moves the audience with her emotions. How dare other reviewers make remarks about her pregnancy during this film! Women film movies while pregnant all the time, and the director did a great job trying to hide it. I did not find it distracting at all.

Trevor Donavan was also very good in this film, he plays this character perfectly. I also enjoyed the performances from the best friend and the father.

The comedy was better than an average made-for-TV movie, thanks to Hanna, Carly, and Leo.

Overall, not a bad movie but certainly not the best. I recommend watching it at least once and give it a 7/10 for this quality of movies.

Gilmore Girls: But I'm a Gilmore! (2005)
Season 5, Episode 19

She's got salve!
25 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode shows us a prime example on how much Lorelai and Rory's friendship has changed. Ever since Lorelai had to play the mom card on Rory over her affair with Dean, Rory has been a little hesitant discussing her relationships with Lorelai. She sees her mom as being judge-mental and doesn't actually want her opinion anymore on her relationships.

I have major problems with the kitchen storyline. Why doesn't Lorelai know who her kitchen staff is? And why does she patronize Luke (who literally drops everything to help her out ALL THE TIME) when he gets frustrated about Sookie & Jackson? This really bugs me.

I was thinking about how psychotic and unrealistic the Huntzbergers were about the term "girlfriend" until I remembered how crazy the Gilmores acted about Dean and Jess.

One thing I really loved about his episode is the chemistry between Danny Strong and Liza Weil. Doyle is actually pretty tolerable in this episode and I love when Nanny comes in with her salve and helps take care of him. Overall, not a terrible episode but not great either.

The reboot I didn't know I needed
2 July 2022
I loved the original show as a kid so of course I just HAD to check out the reboot and I'm so glad I did. I'm 7 episodes into the first season and so far so good! I love that it's family friendly and they brought back all of the main cast. I'm hoping for a season 2!

Best of the season so far
2 May 2022
Wow! This episode was all that and a bag of chips. The mystery, the romance, the jam packed drama! Wyman Walden and Spurlock have been busted, thanks to Bill and Nathan! Good job Mounties!

Elizabeth celebrates her birthday with her two favorite guys and it's adorable. Hyland is such a cutie and his "buddy" friendship with Chris is truly magic. They work so well together! More of them in season 10, please!

So much happened in this ep that tied up some loose ends and also started new drama, which is exciting! Good job, Allie D. On this amazing script! Just 3 episodes left this season!

Great chemistry
25 April 2022
Andrew and Nikki have great chemistry but it's hard to take Andrew seriously in this role. Not sure if I can believe that he's a big city cop. I didn't predict the killer from the beginning which is a pro for me. I think I'd like to see at least 1 more of these movies to truly make up my mind if this should be a series.

Lacey saved this movie
25 April 2022
I will watch anything Lacey is in because she is seriously so good and refreshing to watch. She carried this movie. Autumn and Alison were good too but not too believable as best friends. Ali was too stilted. Kevin's accent was tooooo much. I did laugh a bit during the movie and Lacey is one of the greats which is why I rated it a 6.

Kevin & Kayla deserve better
25 April 2022
Kevin & Kayla are great actors but goodness this movie was hard to watch. So much CGI! Silly dialogue. I feel like there was little to no research done on butterflies for this movie. I would only recommend this to people who need something to fall asleep to. Let's get these 2 together on a more serious film.

Bark-tastic!
25 April 2022
Such a cute movie with cute doggies! Bristow and McNally had good chemistry, they made me laugh and tear up a bit. I know other reviewers will complain about how similar plots have been done on Hallmark before, but that's Hallmark! Bristow and McNally brought something different to this movie that made it a fun watch. Highly recommend!

Loved part 2!
25 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Part 2 was a lot better than part 1. We get answers to Mei's relationship with Geoffrey and I LOVED Bill Avery's "April Fools" to the town! A nice nod to the hearties 😍 Speaking of Bill- I hope he is okay, I need Jack Wagner to stay on the show 🙏🏼 Anna moving into the cafe is a fun storyline! Lucas "subbing" at the school was so great to see! Nathan and Mei have nice chemistry- I'm cheering for them! Hickam confronting Lee was long overdue. The photos at the end were so sweet and a nice touch to end the episode!

Warning: Spoilers
Hope Valley Days are so fun! I'm glad we will get more on next weeks episode. Thanksgiving, Valentines Day, Halloween, Hanukkah! So fun. I loved seeing Lee and Rosie dressed up! I'm hoping we get a proposal from Lucas by episode 12! And a marriage early on in season 10. Can't wait to see Mei's story wrap up, we all know she is a good person I'm just ready to find out what Geoffrey is up to! Hickam is starting to prove himself and I'm so glad. Overall not a perfect episode but still loved it all the way.

So much to unpack!
11 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Midway through the season and things are about to explode! I'm sooo glad we're exploring the mine storyline so we can put it to rest once and for all. Henry can get complete closure... finally! He deserves it. I'm so glad he made amends with Fiona because honestly she was getting on my nerves! Haha.

Lucas tells Elizabeth that he isn't selling the saloon but isn't done "dealing" with Wyman just yet. He tells her the truth about his black eye and she doesn't even flinch? Haha kinda weird but okay!

Looks like the writers might be gauging the fans reactions to Faith and Hickam as a potential couple. I'm all for it, if they decide to go there! Speaking of Hickam, can everyone just leave him alone? Like Lee writing negative things about him in the paper. I have a feeling Hickam is about to show everyone just how dependable he really is! :)

Allie had such a great return in the last episode but for some reason she was annoying in this episode. Why does everrryone (now the kids) have to have relation problems? Let them be kids.

Next weeks episode looks intense and I'm so eager to watch it! Great season so far.

Sooo good!
10 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was so heart warming! Minnie is so strong and is a great example on how to show love to everyone, even the people who don't like you. She invites Mr Landis to her home and while awkward at first, it turns out wonderfully as he plays piano with Angela!

Rosemary and Lee are stronger than ever! I love their relationship!

I also loved that Allie is FINALLY back and her conversation with Nathan practically stole the show. It was beautifully written and portrayed!

Man VS machine was so silly lol. Lucas' motorcycle broke down so we still don't *technically* know if a motorcycle is faster than a horse? I guess this proved that horses might be more reliable than motorcycles lol.

Lucas and Elizabeth are headed for a proposal, imo. The ending was so sweet, heart warming, and again, beautifully written and portrayed!

Great job, DeLuise, for the script! Can't wait for episode 6!

This is the episode!
28 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Best of S9 so far! Coopers storyline has been written and acted SO well! It's truly touching.

Mr Landis is absolutely driving me crazy but apparently our opinions of him are about to change? It'll be a hard task to tackle but I trust the writers will get us there.

Why on earth did Rosemary assign Lee to interview Hickam about winning the mayoral election? Just to see that Hickam is clueless? Don't like that too much but again, I'm trusting the writers will get us somewhere with this plot line.

Lucas with little Jack. Wow!! It was amazing to see and was exactly how I pictured it. Elizabeth admits to herself (Lucas is asleep) that she loves him! What an amazing scene. The kisses at the door. Wow! But then BAM Lucas gets attacked. And we see him go into protection mode towards Wyman and Spurlock. Yes!! I know we have so much more coming from this and I'm excited to see it!

Mei and Nathan are slowly but surely bonding which has been nice to see! But, I'm missing Allie!

I'm sorry to say this but Molly seems out of place now. I love the actress SO MUCH but what are they doing with Mollys character? Either pick it up or move her on. I'd hate to see her go but I'm seriously not interested in her storyline anymore. We should be using her screen time for other characters.

Season 1 finale was better
15 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 finale was better BUT season 2 as a whole is better. Maddie getting so mad at Bill? I mean, I'm not a fan of him at all but cut him a little bit of slack. He didn't know about Isaac and at least he is going to do the right thing by trying to form a relationship with him and at least he didn't keep it a secret from Maddie.

Cals anger escalated way too quickly. The finale could've been better without this storyline. I know we need drama and tension, but this was too much.

Eric & Helen are THE best 2 characters in this show and if they don't end up together, it will be a huge disappointment. Please let's keep Ryan out. No offense to the actor, he's great- just don't like the character.

I'm still not convinced that Jackson is a good guy. I don't want him to hurt Annie but I definitely don't want them to end up together. She belongs with Ty.

Dana Sue is becoming more and more unlikeable.

Does EVERYONE have to be in a relationship? Even Kyle? Can't we have some single people on this show?

Okay I'm done with my ranting lol. I am excited for a season 3.
