Very Very Funny
20 March 2002
This is one of the funniest movies ever made. If you haven't seen it you are wasting your time doing something else. Even though this movie looks extremely dated it is exceptionally funny. The one liners are great (french knight), and the slapstick comedy (killer rabbit) is hilarious. The boys of Monty Python do a great job in one of their first films. Go rent it right now!

Farley = Funny
19 June 2001
This movie is not just funny it is hilarious. There are truly funny scenes in this one. Not only that but the script is a riot. The movie is only enhanced by the comedic efforts of Chris Farley. The temple scene is one of the best. Chris Rock is not bad in this one as well. Martial Arts star Robin Shou (from the Mortal Kombat series) plays Haru's (Farley) older protective brother and the scenes with both of them are good.

Dumb
19 June 2001
Beastmaster 3 and the whole series is dumb and faky. Everone of them are B movies but this is the worst one. It combines incredibly bad acting and cheesy special effects. It is worse than a made for TV movie. If you watch this on TV like I did then you would probably find better acting and effects in the commercials you see while it is on.

Beetlejuice (1988)
Not Funny
19 June 2001
This is an unfunny comedy that does not deserve all the hype it got in the 80s. Beetlejuice is a stupid movie. The story is stupid, the plot is stupid, and the characters are stupid. And I especially hate the TV series cartoon.

Conan is Better
19 June 2001
Beastmaster just seems like a Conan ripoff gone bad. It is one of the worst fantasy movies I have seen in a while. Conan is much better and so is He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe. At least Skeletor is a cool badguy. In this movie we get a priest gone bad being fought by a mucle bound bozo and some ferrets. Give me a break.

Worst
17 June 2001
Batman and Robin is the worst of all the Batman movies. Tim Burton's Batman was much better. This movie as well as Batman Forever portay Gotham City as a modern colorful city while the first movies have Gotham as a dark gothic city. The sets and background are more like the old Batman show from the 60s. The script is lame and the acting stinks, George Clooney is not a good Batman. Arnold and bacically all the other characters are bad too. I was hoping to see a cool Bane but instead we get a big stupid mutated person whom Batman beats up. The best thing to do about this movie is pretend it was never made.

OK
17 June 2001
I would probably say this movie is better than Batman Returns but I just don't know. But I do know it is far better than Batman and Robin but not better than Batman. This is the movie where Tim Burton leaves us (sob) and Joel Shumacher (unfortunatly) picks up the mantle. The thing that saves this movie is the performances by the two villains Riddler and Two-Face. Carrey is hilarious and Jones is excellent. Their comedic antics help them to form a partnership to destroy Batman. Their are many twists and turns in the plot and the final scenes are great so sit down, relax and watch it on a saturday night. You could do worse with 90 minutes.

2nd Best?
17 June 2001
Batman Returns is the darkest of the 4 movies and contends with Batman Forever for the #2 spot in my book. This time around Batman has two villains to contend with, Penguin and Catwoman. The fight sequences are decent as is the acting but overall I thought this movie was too dark and moody but that is what th director wanted.

Batman (1989)
Best Batman Movie
17 June 2001
The original is the best in this series of movies. Tim Burton is excellent as director and does a near perfect job of the way Batman should be. Michael Keaton is the best Batman and Joker is the best villain. Jack Nicholsen once again plays a psycho but in a much different way than The Shining.

Bad Moon (1996)
Decent
12 June 2001
Bad Moon is a decent horror movie, but unlike some other people I think using the dog as a main character was stupid. In the end of the movie when the werewolf attacks the family the dog holds him at bay and protects the kid and mom. The dog would be torn to shreds in seconds if it really got into a fight with a werewolf.

Bad Boys (1995)
Good Movie
12 June 2001
Bad Boys is an interesting movie that combines comedy and action. There are a lot of comedy/action movies around but this is one of the best. Will Smith is very good and Martin Lawrence funny. The ending of the movie is great because it has lots of action and suspense.

Almost Heroes (1998)
Pretty Funny
11 June 2001
Almost Heroes is a good comedy that features one of my favorite comedians the late Chris Farley. He is funny in this movie. Matthew Perry is decent too. My favorite part in this movie is when Farley has to climb the giant tree to get the eagle eggs to heal his friend and gets hungry on the way home, not to mention his run in with the mother eagle who later returns for revenge.

Anaconda (1997)
Terrible FX
11 June 2001
This movie was ruined completely bt its terrible effects. I know that this movie was made when CGI was not fully developed but that just means that they shouldn't have used them. The snake looks incredibly fake when it is designed by CGI but does not look bad as the mechanical model/puppet, which is mostly head shots anyways. Ice Cube was good in this but he is the only character I liked.

Disappointing
11 June 2001
This is the worst of the Alien series of movies, which is unfortunate because it is possibly the last. It has a weaker script and storyline which is the main reason I did not like it, even though it has more stars in it. Some of the scenes im this movie are more violent and grotesque than the other ones. For instance, the finale with the Newborn Alien getting sucked out the window from a little hole in the glass. Overall I was very disappointed with it and cannot even compare it to my favorite movie Aliens.

Bruce Campbell returns as the chainsaw armed Ash for the third go with the deadites in Army of Darkness. Bruce makes a surprisingly good comedian and is absolutley hilarious with his almost famous one liners. He is probably the only person I know that would literally laugh in the face of an ancient evil monster. This movie is "Groovy"!

Alien 3 (1992)
Not Bad
11 June 2001
Alien 3 is not really that bad of a movie. Everone seems to say that it is the worst of the Alien movies but I think that it easily passes Alien Resurrection. It is a very interesting movie because in movies I like to see action, but for some reason I tend to like this movie. I think it is because I am an Alien fan all the way(except Resurrection). One thing I noticed is their use of profanity in this movie. I'm not one of those "OH, they said the "F" word" people but I think they go a little overboard with it, probably because they are prisoners and not very good people to begin with.

Arachnophobia (1990)
Scary
11 June 2001
Scary if you are 5 or under. I was scared when I watched it and I was 4 or 5. I don't have a fear of spiders but it still scared me. I recently had the opportunity of seeing it again and thought it was pretty good. One thing I don't get is that the people in the house did not know that their basement was ground zero for the new breed of spiders. I think I would realize that. John Goodman is cool as the exterminator guy.

Aliens (1986)
Best movie ever made!!!!!
11 June 2001
Aliens is the best movie I have ever seen. It combines action with more action. Basically the entire film is action scenes except the starting point and some scenes with Newt and Ripley which allow her to sort of take Newt on as her own daughter(Ripley's real daughter died while she was in hypersleep). I love the marines. This movie is one of Bill Paxton's best performances ever. The only rival would be his portrayal of Severen in Near Dark. Michael Biehn is excellent as is Jenette Goldstein. Lance Henriksen is good as the softspoken android, or as he prefers, artifical person Bishop. The effects are awesome and so is the music and sound. The countdown music at the end is cool. All in all Aliens is not just the best of the Alien series, but the best movie ever made. Good job James Cameron!!!

Alien (1979)
Good Thriller
11 June 2001
Alien is a good thriller movie from Ridley Scott. This movie can be compared to it's(in my opinion) superior sequel Aliens. Both missions are sabotaged by a shady Company worker like Ash and Burrke. But unlike Aliens the theme of Alien is basically, 1=where is it? 2=what is it? and 3= how do we kill it? The theme of Aliens is "There it is lets kick it's ass!" However Alien is an interesting thriller movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The main thing scary about it is that no one really knows what it is or what it is capable of. That is why it a good thriller.

He plays football too?
10 June 2001
Air Bud returns in this movie and lends a hand, or should I say paw to his owner and helps him through the football season. This movie is absolutely ridiculous. It makes no sense at all. Once again Air Bud is better than the human characters. The idea of a dog playing football is stupid. You mean to tell me that the dog never gets tackled and scores a bunch of touchdowns. That dog would be on the injured list in the first game!

Air Force One (1997)
Good Movie
10 June 2001
Air force one is a good to average movie which features good action seqences and good acting. Everyone in this movie sounds serious about what they are doing and that should be. Harrison Ford is superb as the president and Gary Oldman does a great job as well. In fact there is not much that slows this movie down. One thing that I noticed though is that Harrison is is slowing down but you can't really blame the guy for that.

Air Bud (1997)
Family movie
10 June 2001
This is a good movie for younger kids despite some brief mild language. The dog playing basketball just doesn't make sense to me though. I could take the ball away from the dog and its not like he has the height advantage. If you have small kids they would enjoy it.

Better than the original
10 June 2001
This movie is in my opinion better than Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Ace can do a lot with the African setting. This time he is in search of a great white bat that can reunite two tribes. The only problem is that bats are possibly the only animal that Ace fears. This leads to a wild nonstop laugh filled adventure that goes from the high mountains of Tibet, to the dark jungles and caves of Africa.

Funny
10 June 2001
This is a funny movie. It is an early Jim Carrey movie about a Pet Detective (someone who looks for lost pets) who is in search of the Miami Dolphins football mascot which is in fact a dolphin. This movie could probably be viewed by the whole family but it does have some crude humor in it so it is rated PG13. All in all this movie is destined to become if not already has become a Jim Carrey early classic.

The Abyss (1989)
Better than Sphere
10 June 2001
This movie is almost like a Spielberg movie rather than a Cameron one. It is an original movie with good special effects and good acting, however it does not have much going on in it. It is more on the dull side which is one of the reasons that it is not a normal James Cameron film. The ending scenes were strange but as I said before there is good special effects in them. Despite all this it definitely surpasses Sphere.
