(1). You want to see 5 Oscar winning people to the lowest point of their career.

(2). You want to hear Elton John saying constantly "F-ck You".

(3). You want to see a girl telling to a guy that she wants to pee on her.

(4). You want to see 2 people turn to ground meat.

(5). You want to see a man eating a hamburger made from human meat.

(6). You are enjoying lame green screen effects and CGI.

(7). You want to see another spy plot based on a deadly virus.

(8). You are enjoying silly, kindergarten jokes.

(9). You want to experience first hand the "Curse of the Sequels".

(10). You like fake butterflies.

Anyway, despite the (manipulated by the studio?) 7.2 here in IMDb, the consensus is that this movie is terrible.

It has nothing to do with the original, and is just a generic and forgettable action movie, that should probably wait to see on TV, next year.

Certainly NOT the worst canned laugh SitCom out there. It is OK for easy watching...

I'm writing this review after I watched 8 episodes.

This is a SitCom with a fake laugh track, basically about an oppressively loving mother who lives (with her husband) next door of her two 40-ish sons (9J 9K and 9L is the adjacent apartments) and who suffocates with her love the one (and single) son played by Mark Feuerstein.

OK. So it is what it is. That's the TV genre. IMDb is filled with one star reviews because of this. If you hate it (especially the canned laugh), don't watch it. It isn't for you and go watch something else.

BUT for its genre and its format and its typicality... isn't that bad. Isn't great, and by the definition of canned-laugh-sitcoms groundbreaking, but it is an OK show to spend 21 minutes without really caring about deep meanings. The jokes are mild and the situations typical and you can see them coming from a mile away but ...again... that's the genre.

Overall: A mother who suffocates with caring her adult "child" is the epitome of ALL SitComs. So, this is one of those. Not great, not bad either.

Bull: Thanksgiving (2017) Season 2, Episode 9

Another episode that could make you so angry to wanna tear your clothes off...

A new low for this crappy 2nd season of Bull.

**Full Spoilers ahead**

A boxer, who was instructed by the mob to throw a fight, disobeys them and wins. The mob retaliates by putting a dead body in his trunk and framing him for the murder, while giving a lesson to others that might also be disobedient.

Bull has no TAC because it's thanksgiving and he listens to his instincts for the jury selection. (Didn't always do that??).

Anyway the ridiculous resolution of this trial is a brief conversation (just a few seconds) with a low member of the mob, who is convinced to ...let this one go (!!!) like present the actual murderer (???) and acquit the boxer!!!

Bull says to the low mobster at the Court's corridor: "I think there's a world where we can all be winners here." But WHAT he means by that???

The ADA and the judge dismiss the case because they now "have definitive evidence pointing to the REAL killer." !!!!

And the explanation of Bull to the surprised Boxer: "They own you now, Bobby. But of course, they owned you before." !!!! WTF ????

So, the mob gives a lesson to the boxer (and everyone else/it's a reputation thing) for not throwing the match, BUT CHANGE THEIR MIND and also throw under the bus THEIR OWN Hit-man just to ...own the Boxer that they already...owned!!

Yeah. Good luck with that script, Morons!!! Scorsese should hire you to write "Good Fellas 2".

Overall: Major crap. Only worth for the glimpse of Abbi Snee's (34 y.o. but looks much younger) tight behind. (Which BTW raises another point. Would Benny had given his airplane ticket if the girl wasn't smoking hot??)

The Comedy Get Down (2017)

This show is *BEEP*.

Five *BEEP* are decided to do a comedic series together. Their main attraction is to say words like *BEEP*, *BEEP*, *BEEP* and *BEEP* and sometimes the occasional *BEEP*.

The acting is total *BEEP*. And the jokes are *BEEP* and *BEEP* based solely on *BEEP*.

One thing I didn't know, was that Eddie Murphy had a brother who died from leukemia on April 12, 2017, at the age of 57.

I just watched the pilot which basically was about the word *BEEP* and how many times can someone endure to hear such words in the course of an episode of a TV comedy.

I don't know if there is an uncensored version of this but in what I watched there was a constant *BEEP* sound in almost every sentence.

The whole premise is moronic and the execution terrible. Also take notice of the "assistant" who is "white/caucasian" running stressed up and down to please his colored masters.

So I'm not gonna check another episode.

Overall: *BEEP*, *BEEP*, and *BEEP*. Not to mention *BEEP*.

Bull: The Exception to the Rule (2017) Season 2, Episode 6

This show has become soooo idiotic that is unbearable to watch...

The first season of Bull was full of ...bull, but this 2nd season is abysmal and unbearable to watch.

When the first episode of the second season came out, I was about to write a review for it with the headline "OMG...DiNozzo is back!" because of a big turn on Bull's character and personality. He wasn't the calm, pseudo-sophisticated Dr. Bull anymore, but more like a parody of Michael Weatherly's previous acting persona in NCIS. He was nervous, constantly agitated, narcissistic, and more ...childish, if you prefer.

Anyway, this whole season is a train wreck and we probably have Steven Spielberg to blame, since he has this view for granting second chances and he didn't kill Bull in its first season, as he owed to do in other terrible shows like "Under the Dome" and that Halle Berry A.I. Sci-fi.

In this terrible episode, Bull Takes on a Small Town Factory to Save an Old Girlfriend. But ...the company didn't do anything wrong other than being ...a company. Only 3-4 people (and one imposter!!!) CLAIM that their totally different and irrelevant illnesses are related with the company's use of some NOT ILLEGAL (and safe according to FDA or whatever) chemical they use.

The old girlfriend gets to the stand and blubbers some pseudo-sentimental bull and gives a totally unrelated example about a hypothetical dog (that doesn't have any similarity with the case) so the counselor of the company decides to make an offer of ...20 times the original settlement to drop the lawsuit!!

I 'm really angry that I watched this.

This crap has nothing to do with a legal drama. The arguments are ridiculous, the "science" too, and in my opinion the show must get off the air as soon as possible.

Overall: This show is only for viewers who have missed Anthony DiNozzo and they don't mind seeing him wearing glasses and unshaved. Terrible. Just terrible.

Ray Donovan: Michael (2017) Season 5, Episode 11

R.D. is like a ...box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

Too many open fronts that come and go in every episode.

I wish R.D. was more like the fixer it was advertised to be, but for 5 seasons it was more about Mickey and their family problems. The should call the show "The Donovans" not just Ray.

And soooooo many characters that came and went and we totally forgot about them. (In its 58 episodes R.D. had around ...700 guest stars!)

Anyway the acting is overall good and I don't mind when R.D. is on TV even when I don't really pay attention. I didn't care or rooting for Ray in the previous seasons, because he is a scam of the worst kind, but in this episode I actually rooted for him.

It is renewed for a 6th season, so fans rejoice !

Dynasty (2017–2022)

Target Audience?

Just watched the pilot of this and I don't get to whom it is addressed...

Is it the past Audience? Who can recognize Bill Conti's theme played in the piano by a young Steven Carrington and know the characters already? I highly doubted since that audience is around 65-70 y.o. and can't understand and relate with the "modern" direction and editing and music of the 2017's version.

Is it a new Audience? Then why bother with this premise. Reviving an old series which was heavily based on the personas of actors like John Forsythe, Joan Collins and Linda Evans. The "aristocrat" look, without having similar actors to work with.

Anyway, such a reboot is a waste of time, in my opinion. It is basically realized because maybe the inspiration hit a ceiling and we live in the age of old reboots.

As a show its too light to watch. Too pseudo-arrogant and pretentious. None of the actual billionaires I watch interviews and such, are emphasizing words like in this show. "It is a deal of 500 MIIILLL-ion dollars", like a game show host or like in an advertisement.

And it tries too hard to "play" with the audience. like in the revelation/presentation of the Cristal character, which reach us to my original question "...to whom it is addressed?" The past audience won't watch it, the new audience won't get it.

Overall: I don't see a ...Dynasty grow out of this. It lacks the larger-than-life actors/characters of the original and its too pretentious for each own sake.

Focus (II) (2015)

Unsatisfying movie with Unclever Forced Twists.

Just watched "Focus", a movie which made some buzz 2-3 years ago mainly because the rumored romance between the two main actors, Will Smith and Margot Robbie. I don't know what they actually did off-screen, but on-screen they have no chemistry at all.

Focus is a movie about con-artists. It doesn't try to follow the steps of "The Sting" or "Ocean's eleven", but it has the same goal, to confuse the audience on who is playing who... and here is where the problems are starting to arise...

The plot is paper thin and every con seems unnecessary and overcomplicated. There aren't that too many cons to begin with, but every one of them seems forced. A futile effort from the writers, to "amaze" the audience.

You see, to make the audience to expect a twist is basically a bad thing. Even the average viewer had, possibly, better twists in mind than those in "Focus". More plausible and more fun to watch. Here the tricks are too over-the-top in their execution to swallow, and overall unimpressive, leaving a bad aftertaste...

The movie looks colorful, but the acting is pale. Will Smith seems bored possibly because of an early realization that this movie won't work.

Overall: Not a satisfying movie, including the lukewarm ending. The twists you expecting from a con-artist's movie are there, but they are unclever and forced. Maybe its time to dust that DVD of "The Sting" from the selves...

The Good Doctor: Mount Rushmore (2017) Season 1, Episode 2

OK. I've made a mistake. I wrote in my series review that I won't watch another episode of this crap, but unfortunately I did.

In this episode the Good Doctor is late to his first day at the hospital and it is ...the bus to blame. Also he is scaring patients and he is smelling ...farts.

For some, still unknown, reason Richard Schiff's character is keep insisting (and even betting his position as the president of the hospital) that Shaun is a "Good Doctor". In my opinion as an actual MD, he should step down immediately because he's confusing what a good doctor really is...

A doctor cares about the feelings of his patients. He never lies to them, but he is never insensible. Also he cares about the budget of the health institution he is in, and about its schedule and its efficiency, and also he cares about his colleagues.

A doctor is human and humane. Shaun is more like a COMPUTER, trying to find solutions based on pure facts and protocols.

Very conveniently the script writers are "giving" to him cases that other doctors "miss" or can't "handle". Honestly I wonder why. Why you supposed to accept a professional who is UNSUITABLE for a job. Someone who may be good in one aspect of his profession but fails miserably in all the others.

If this is a "Good" Doctor than this is a "Good" Series. Unfortunately this is not the case. He is the WORST Doctor and this is a bad series. An unnecessary melodrama with annoying music.

The Good Doctor (2017–2024)

Rain-man Doctor: Another show with a brilliant doctor who is ..."special".

This is another gimmicky medical drama where the protagonist is brilliant, yet ..."special".

David Shore, the creator of House, went this time for the "Autistic surgeon".

I am amazed by the fact that Shore didn't go even further and create the "Blind surgeon" or even the "Surgeon with no hands", tightening knots with his feet and cutting sutures with his teeth.

Anyway, this is a ludicrous pseudomedical melodrama, which tries to manipulate the audience with its superficial emotions and its omnipresent orchestral music.

Very conveniently for the young savant doctor, on his way for the interview for his residency, he has the chance to show to the world (and the TV audience, of course) his great skills, using McGuyver-ish techniques and means to save a young kid. That was some luck indeed, otherwise no one in the hospital would accepted him, and this would be the shortest medical drama in TV's history.

Overall the show annoys me. The whole production actually. Its so manipulative, so unnecessary melodramatic that, for me, it accomplishes the opposite result of what the producers were hoping for. Every time the "brilliant" doctor thinks, you see a bunch of medical sketches and illustrations and the explanation of medical terms, designed to think that something "magical" happens. And the music is constantly trying to enforce you how to feel, in a similar way the canned laughs are trying to point you where the joke is, in a family sitcom.

Personally I won't check the 2nd episode. The intentions of the creators are obvious and I don't like them.

The Good Place: Dance Dance Resolution (2017) Season 2, Episode 2

Excellent episode. Entertaining and Clever.

OK. After the big revelation of what is actually happening in last season's finale, there where lots of ways this show could continue. The initial expectation might be for a Round 2 kind of season, similar in many ways with the first one.

But in this 3rd episode of the 2nd season the writers went for a totally new direction and ...that is a Good thing! So, this episode is successful in many ways.

First of all it is very entertaining. Quick, snappy montage, with nice rhythm. Second, it help the story to evolve to something else. fresh and new, multiplying the possibilities of what could happen next. It is even lighting a possibility for a real happy ending, when the series (after many episodes later, I hope) reaches its conclusion.

For those who had never watched "The hmm..Good place" I suggest you check it out.

I stand behind my original series review where I stated that this is a great comedy, and with some hidden messages. This episode shows that it evolves in a great way too. So a 10 out of 10 for this, and have in mind that I'm usually a though critic, especially in sitcoms.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

More like a Spider-man SPOOF.

Don't expect a superhero movie. This is more like a long comedic sketch parodying Spider-man.

There are so many wrongs in this movie I 've lost count., but most importantly the vision is wrong. I would prefer Raimi/McGuire's vision by far.

Among other things this reboot is missing the transformation from regular Peter Parker to Spiderman. The most interesting thing to the franchise to watch. And of course his relation with his uncle (who doesn't get a single mention in this film) and how his tragic fate was quintessential to his maturity.

They are still trying to show you the transition from a goofy kiddy Spiderman to something more adult but they are failing miserably, because even in the end the character hasn't mature at all.

And it's that "goofy" version of Spiderman that ruins this movie, as a superhero movie. There aren't any real sentiments at all. Just teenage humor and pranks. And the final revelation and connection between Spiderman and the main villain is too ludicrous to swallow.

For its $175 mil. budget this movie is far from impressive too. Not a big spectacle. All that money went for the CGI Spidey jumping back and forth, but the scenes aren't that impressive and there's a lot to be desired.

Overall: This movie is already a success in Box office multiplying the earnings more than 4 times its budget, so the producers must be happy. BUT it's more like a spoof of Spiderman and not a proper superhero movie. For the true origins of Spiderman, his transformation, his relation with his uncle and the impact of his tragic fate on Peter, you must look elsewhere...

Halt and Catch Fire: So It Goes (2017) Season 4, Episode 1

OK. I just saw the double "first" episode of the 4th season. And it was a snooze fest, despite the fact that, in terms of plot progression, so much happened.

The main problem is ...pace. (pun intended for Lee Pace/Joe who is now a shadow of himself) but also for the narration and the rhythm of the show, which now lacks punch and inspiration.

Joe and his pals, in this episode they pretty much invented, PCs, the ...Internet, the ...web browsers, the ISPs flat rate and the search engines all at once! Not to mention ...affordable GPS ! Yet in this double episode nothing really happens in terms of action and viewer's interest.

The second part/episode is pretty much a loooong phone call between Cameron and Joe, which makes obvious that the chemistry between the 2 characters is long gone.

Honestly I don't know what to expect of the next episode. I watched 90 minutes of this and I don't actually remember anything. The interest is what? If the company of Joe and Gordon will succeed? The fast forward of time in such abrupt fashion ruined any shred of interest for that. Will Joe and Cameron be together again? With such lukewarm dynamic I don't really care.

HACF used to be a very interesting show, and episodes like the one at COMDEX (S01E09) were magnificent. Now is boring as hell. Maybe they need to rename it in something like ...Yawn and Catch Sleep.

Pulse (2017)

Good enough Medical Drama from Australia

I think its the 3rd time in a review that I'm mentioning that I am an actual MD and I'm always very critical about medical dramas. (You can read such a review in "Pure Genius", a ridiculous medical melodrama that I think I'm pretty much responsible for its unavoidable doom and cancellation).

Pulse is in its essence a more serious medical drama. I recognize many elements that are close to reality, despite the fact that some of them may appear exaggerated for dramatic purposes...

It is (very) realistic for young doctors to be and act more emotional than they should be. To feel empathy. To ...fall in love with their superiors. You have to learn to be more emotionally detached, so to be more efficient, more professional. It's also very realistic that young doctors have to stand-up for themselves if they want to learn. No one will take your hand and show things to you if you don't chase it, or even demand it.

On the opposite side of the ladder, the heads of medical departments have to fight with the healthcare system all the time. They have to take tough decisions and to deal with their consequences in order to be fair and ethically correct, as they possibly can be.

The cast is good enough, so is the acting with transparent performances which helps to learn the main characters quickly and follow them to their personal and professional journey.

The darker low-contrast photography adds to the realism and the music, mostly with a single guitar seems suitable.

Overall: Good medical drama. If it doesn't turn to a melodrama or jump the shark in the later episodes, it would be a nice show to watch.

I'm Sorry: Ass Cubes (2017) Season 1, Episode 3

I wrote a favorable review after seeing the first 2 episodes, but the 3rd one is somehow off...

It's more like "we seat and talk" kind of episode and less like the "do awkward things in front of other people who then staring at you with contempt and disapproval". Is this a bad thing? ...Well...in this case I think it is. In this episode Andrea is more like a monotonous (without change of tone) stand-up comedian. Jumping from one topic to another abruptly, supposedly making remarks about our society, trying mildly to provoke...maybe...

Anyway I didn't enjoy "ass cubes" that much. All the guest stars comedians including Nelson Franklin and Martin Mull were struggling with their lines. A couple of good scenes (like the hugging in the cafe or the "juice" final scene) weren't enough to make it better.

I'm Sorry (2017–2019)

I'm not sorry that I watched this !

I usually don't like comedies with awkward situations and misunderstandings (basically I cannot identify with such comedic characters) but this new comedy with stand-up comedian Andrea Savage is rather entertaining.

The setup is far from original, the suburban wife and mom, with the understanding, supporting husband and the curious kid, but the "feel" is different from other comedies, let's say "American Housewife" (which is also a good comedy for its own sake).

The script is well written for its genre, although the "do or say something awkward in front of other people who then staring at you with contempt and disapproval" pattern might get old really soon.

Overall: Check it out if you like jokes derived from uncomfortable situations.

Salvation (2017–2018)

CBS seems to have a tendency to make series about "brilliant billionaires" who will put their minds and effort and means and cash for saving people. A noble cause, or so it seems...

Another CBS series with such a fellow was "Pure Genius", a show that I think I personally killed single-handed because I wrote a very critical review for it, the opposite of what a 90-95% of other reviewers wrote while giving to it ratings full of 9s and 10s. They basically were writing that that show "gave them hope". All I was seeing (and CBS producers as it seems) was a cheap melodrama.

So, after a long prologue...what is "Salvation" all about? Well... a large meteor has a 97.2% probability of hitting the Earth in 186 days! Not an impossible scenario. Believe you me. It happened at least 5 times before, with the last one, killing the previous rulers of the planet, the all-mighty dinosaurs.

Not original at all, but how this series holds to its premise? Well not bad for the time being. You have some relatively strong-minded characters: - a billionaire genius who initially thinks that the best course of action is to build an arc and populate ...Mars (dumb idea for so many reasons) - an MIT student who might for a while thought that its best to live intensively his remaining 3 months - a Pentagon officer who is the poster boy of secrets and conspiracies and - his press secretary with whom he had an affair, but she will probably play a crucial rule to the salvation (or not) of the Earth.

There were some things that bothered me but minor. It's not a "big" series despite the theme of the global damnation, but is not small or boring either.

I wonder if the writers have already think how this is going to end. You see 186 days until doomsday can't easily span in a series for the long run.

Anyway...not great...not bad either. I see the reviewers before me are divided and polarized. It's one of these cases. We will wait and see. For now and based solely on the pilot, I say...give it a chance.

Suits: Skin in the Game (2017) Season 7, Episode 1

OK. I pressed the FF button at least five times in this. What a pointless first episode for the season...The series is now officially pointless...

You can check, if you want, my review for the first episode of the previous season where I wrote "...the writers just don't know what to do..." Well, in this episode, creator/writer Aaron Korsh, seems to made up his mind on what to do with his show, but he just doesn't cut through...

He obviously tries some sort of REBOOT after the departure of Gina Torres (who there is a chance she gets her own show as Jessica) by upgrading EVERYONE to a new role including ...Donna! Yet, the dynamic of the 5 main characters remains EXACTLY the same! The cast now feels really small. Inadequate and unimpressive. And the dialog between them boring and purposeless. You have heard it a hundred times before.

Also there is no "villain" or an opponent of some sort or any other interesting character to have a true dramatic conflict and suspense. There is no Daniel Hardman, Sean Cahill, or Anita Gibbs. No Tony Gionopoulos or Charles Forstman ...Hell... not even Scotty! Suits is now a shadow of itself, with the 5 main characters patting on each others back and feeling sorry after some (unnecessary?) yelling.

IMDb doesn't offer a Zero grade, but I wouldn't put a "0" to this episode. It deserves more like "1" because I smiled when Harvey said to Mike "Besides, I haven't even told you the best part yet." and Mike responded "You only got two weeks to live?" !!! Honestly I wouldn't mind if "Suits" had only 2 weeks to live too.

Alien: Covenant (2017)

OK... This "Crew" ...they must be the biggest morons in the whole Universe. Were these people supposed to go and...inhabit an Alien planet? These guys are dumber than the illegitimate child of Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey.

-- Ah a planet that looks like Earth! Let's forget our carefully planned initial destination and let's go and inhabit this one! What can possibly go wrong? It has 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen, so it must be fine. No need for any special precautions. Not even a ...mere gas mask! And while were here why not rest on this comfy rock and light a ...cigarette to pass the time!

Jokes aside, this is more like a semi-horror movie than an actual sci-fi movie. I recently saw "Life" and this is even worst. Nothing original. Nothing new. Just creatures bursting out of the bodies of morons and imbeciles.

I won't bother you with comments about the visuals nor the music. (They are the "usual" stuff) and the acting refers more to screaming queens than to actual actors.

And the very predictable ending you can see it coming from a mile away.

Overall: Ignorant, idiotic, crying babies in Space !

Date My Dad (2017)

No point whatsoever...

This is basically one of the oldest recipes in the world of SitComs. The single parent with know-it-all kids who tries to balance his not-so-complicate life.

The title "Date My Dad" it is literally materialized in the pilot episode when his daughters are creating some sort of a one man dating service for him.

But is a blunt show. Lukewarm. No jokes or laughs of any kind.

No drama either, since the main problem of the protagonist is that he became ...40! But don't feel sorry for him. He is a actually a famous former athlete, healthy, fit, handsome, rich man with his own business and a nice house, lots of friends, a supporting brother, a helping mother-in-law and 3 happy daughters.

Barry Watson gives a totally uninspiring performance. And despite some grimaces from him in front of the mirror, he is basically emotionless. Same tone and same face for happy, sad, surprised, angry, calm. I don't think he was a good actor to begin with.

And what would it be a sitcom without a sexy grandma, played by an unrecognizable from the plastic surgeries Raquel Welch.

Surprisingly enough the pilot was 42 minutes long! Not the usual 21 for that kind of show. Surprisingly, because this show has nothing to offer. It is totally meaningless. Not fun to watch. Not a statement or a morale. Too mild to be interesting... A pointless show.

Colossal (2016)

I wasn't sure if it was better to write a spoiler-free review, but ultimately this movie is a waste of time so I will spoil it for you in an effort to keep you away from it.

In a nutshell, both Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis can control with their movements 2 giant Godzilla-ish entities, a monster and a robot, which are mysteriously appeared in S. Korea, creating havoc!

The reason for that goes 25 years back, when their characters were kids and have their school projects (a miniature "city" each with the monster and the robot respectively) destroyed because of a freaky storm-like event on their way to school.

In the end **Ending Spoiler ahead** Anne Hathaway KILLS Jason Sudeikis, to stop him for destroying Seoul, something he wanted to do because ...he hated himself!!!

OK. There are countless plot-holes in this that I won't bother you with. However from the beginning you have the feeling that this movie must (?) have a deeper meaning, like, both characters are alcoholic-ish and disappointed from their lives, so the monsters might have something to do with that. Maybe a hidden moral for the way you treat others and feeling sorry for yourself.

Unfortunately this is NOT the case. No moral or even a bottom line here. And the, plain and simple, MURDER of Sudeikis's character pollutes and destroys any virtues Hathaway's character might have tried to show.

Overall: Because of the weird premise (2 people to control 2 monsters on the other corner of the planet) you might want to watch it for an explanation. Believe me, it's not worth the trouble. As a movie it's not entertaining either, despite its 2 well known stars. The ending is dressed as a "happy ending" but in reality it is a sad one.

As a series it's OK, I'm watching it and I'll probably keep watching when I have the time. BUT... the whole idea is ruined but its own arbitrariness.

So there are these bracelets, that brings you luck. Win at the casino, avoid an accident and so on.

WHAT ON EARTH has your own Luck got to do with what happens to others??

A guy is throwing candy (or whatever) up in the air and catches it with his mouth to impress his date. Isabella wants him dead and so he is ...chocking himself?? And when Harry saves him, performing the Heimlich maneuver, Isabella makes him ...slip and break his neck???

What her own personal luck got to do with it?

This is "MAGIC" or a GENIE in a magic lamp that grants wishes!!! Under no circumstances this is "luck".

In a previous episode the guy who was responsible for the death of her children shoots at her with a gun. OK. She is lucky and the guy miss. OK with that...

For what reason the bullet ricocheted and kills HIM??? Next Isabelle might want to drop a plane out of the sky. How is that Luck??

I doubt Stan Lee, who said that his favorite superpower IS luck, gave too much thought on this series premise.

Good production values this show, but you must be an idiot to follow it through...

La La Land (2016)

Overrated. Sub-par music. Depressing Ending.

This movie won awards and praised by some, so the chances are that you are going to see it eventually...

As a musical it lacks good music and good choreography. It draws inspiration by classics like Singing in the rain and West Side Story but it can't compete with any of these masterpieces and it doesn't offer anything new in the genre.

In terms of acting Emma Stone is very good, showing seamless transitions between opposite emotions but nothing special from Ryan Gosling who adds to the sad tone that the movie will eventually reach.

The plot it starts as a satire of todays (and past and maybe future) Los Angeles, which is full of waitresses who want to be famous actresses and struggling musicians who have their own dreams to make it in a very competitive world.

Later it becomes a romantic story (not only for relationships but also for dreams and wishes) but in its final act the movie takes a serious dramatic turn where the two "happy" endings are combining to a depressing conclusion, that even the final two reassuring nods can't repair. Add to this an alternate timeline flashback that the director/writer wanted to incorporate to his vision, and you end up with an overall depressing movie that actually ruins the optimistic feeling and the romance that initially had.

Overall: Depressing. Mediocre forgettable music. A classic story that ends up in a melancholic, yet pragmatical, way.

I'm not reviewing the movie but the fans and their reviews.

What is it with all these reviews "This is the best superhero movie" ever? Are these written from kids and teenagers who only have seen Xmen and Captain America films? This is most definitely NOT a Superhero movie. You could easily cut out the "Comics" part, which by the way Logan himself states that are B.S., and have a thriller in the Mexico and U.S. countryside, with some elements of a road movie.

The fans must have not seen other movies. Honestly. The director changes the mood and feel to something that belongs to another genre, without being original for that particular genre, preserving basically the names of the now elderly X-men and produces an otherwise unremarkable movie.

I write these comments spoiler-free, but the ending has a serious impact to the whole mythology.

In my opinion Superhero movies must stick to their original virtues so can fans to see what they are expecting to see, and leave the unnecessary darkly humane elements for other genres.

This is a mediocre popcorn movie with a Matt Damon seriously trying to keep a straight face while "acting".

Some extra terrestrial lizards are causing trouble in medieval China and Matty comes to the rescue!

The graphics are subpar even for a video game and the action scenes are lacking the usual fluidity and finesse that other Chinese epic films have as standard.

The customs are interesting and colourful. Maybe Matt Damon veto the use of these armors taking inspiration from one of his other movies where he was kissing Michael Douglas who played Liberace.

Overall is definitely not a grand epic as you might think initially, considering this is a movie from the director of Hero. It's just a popcorn movie like Jurassic World but with less impressive graphics.
