Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation (1986)
This Movie Will Teach People At All Ages About Morality And What Life Is Really About
As a child I preferred the first Care Bear movie since this one seemed so dark. I always sat down and watched the first one. As I got older I learned to prefer this one. What I do think is that this film is too dark for infants, but as you get older you learn to treasure it since you understand it more, it doesn't seem as dark as it was back when you were a child.
This movie, in my opinion, is better than the first one, everything is so much deeper. It may contradict the first movie but you must ignore the first movie to watch this one. The cubs are just too adorable, I rewind that 'Flying My Colors' scene. I tend to annoy everyone by singing it.
The sound track is great! A big hand to Carol and Dean Parks. I love every song in this movie, I have downloaded them all and is all I am listening to, I'm listening to 'Our beginning' also known as 'Recalling' at the moment. I have always preferred this sound track to the first one, although I just totally love Carol Kings song in the first movie 'Care-A-Lot'.
I think the animation is great, the animation in both movies are fantastic. I was surprised when I sat down and watched it about 10 years later and saw that the animation for the time was excellent. It was really surprising.
There is not a lot of back up from other people to say that this movie is great, but it is. I do not think it is weird/strange. I think it is a wonderful movie.
Basically, this movie is about how the Care Bears came about and to defeat the Demon, Dark Heart. The end is surprising and again, beats any 'Pokemon Movie' with the Care Bears Moral issues. It leaves an effect on you. Again this movie can teach everyone at all ages about morality.
The Care Bears Movie (1985)
Please, parents everywhere, show Care Bears to your children, not Pokemon.
In my opinion, this movie and Care Bears Movie 2 are the best films I am ever going to watch. Care Bears were there all the way through my childhood. I am 16 and I am still watching these two cute movies. I can't help it. I think this movie could teach anyone a lesson, no matter what age.
Care Bears is a film about Morality teaching young kids to share, love and about friendship, unlike Pokemon which provokes the young population to fight and steal each others Pokemon cards.
This movie is full of beautiful and catchy songs, but I prefer the 2nd movies sound track. I will never get bored of this movie, and I will watch it till this old tape of mine screws up from old age (where I will be VERY upset). This movie will bring you songs which will never get out of your head, these songs have been in my head all my life and I have had a happy life so far.
You may think that Care Bears have no effect on your child, but I grew up with it. Now im a vegetarian, a volunteer for the RSPCA and a success at school. Im extremely bubbly and kind hearted and hate to hurt people. You decide.
Please, parents everywhere, show Care Bears to your children, not Pokemon.
Dogfight (1991)
River and Lili - Great Chemistry
What Can I say? I watched this film because of my new 'Im obsessed with River Phoenix' phase. After watching his brothers films, Joaquin Phoenix (8MM, U-Turn) I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was a beautiful romance. This is about a mean marine, BirdLace (River Phoenix) who has found his self innocence by meeting with Rose (Lili Taylor). He puts her through a cruel game, feeling guilty afterwards, he apologizes, which he admits he has never done before. How they slowly fall in love through out just one night, is beautiful. This movie means a lot to me, due to Birdlace and Rose reminding me of my relationship with my boyfriend. The Kiss scene is so beautiful, with the music. The ending, is said to be disappointing. I think the ending could not of been anything else, it was beautiful, silent. The performances were perfect, Rivers best. Lili is beautiful!!!!! 10 out of 10
U Turn (1997)
Toby and Jenny - The only Entertainment
This movie was a major disappointment, but with a fantastic cast. I didn't know what to expect when I saw this movie, but I wanted to throw it out the window when I came across the first scene of the dead animals. It was Unnecessary to see Bobby (Sean Penn) running over an animal. Was that needed? Grace (Jennifer Lopez) got on my nerves, didn't like her at all, the performance from Jennifer Lopez weren't all that great either. This movie all in all, was boring. What was good about it? Only one thing, Toby (Joaquin Phoenix) and Jenny (Claire Danes). The only form of entertainment of this Movie. Joaquin surprised me with his small, but outstanding performance. Joaquin and Claire - YOU MADE THE MOVIE! Only with 3 scenes Unfortunately. Otherwise this movie made me sick. It was degrading. I gave it a 3. That goes to Joaquin and Claire!
