Without Remorse (II) (2021)

Sorry Tom
11 May 2021
This could not have been a bigger disappointment it they tried. Tom Clancy deserves much better. This can't even be called an adaptation, because it had nothing to do with the novel. The acting was wooden the plot was weak and ludicrous and even MBJ seemed to be phoning it in, which I am very sorry to say. The technical inaccuracies made it difficult to even enjoy the action, which really wasn't that enjoyable anyway. Basically, this could have been a better movie if they had left it to a couple of shaved wombats for writing and directing. As a John Clark fan from way back, it was the absolute worst way that they could have told his story. MBJ could have knocked it out of the park if he had something better to work with.

Joe Hill should have said NO
1 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I have not been terribly disappointed with the series so far. It does depart from the book, but I'm not so much of a purist that I object. However, the whole point of the story is Vic vs. Manx. Manx has his "Igor" but the cruelty is all at the behest of Manx. The addition of "The Hourglass Man" is unnecessary and detracts from the protagonist/antagonist relationship. Joe Hill should have put the kabash on this as soon as it came from the writers' printers.

On a more positive line, Zach Quinto does an excellent job as Manx and I actually am on board with the... agelessness. I also appreciate the backstories of the characters. Overall, Joe Hill should be glad that the execs didn't pull a The Stand like they did with his dad. That CBS series was so poorly casted, written, acted and produced that it makes one long for a Captain Trips infection.

Disrespectful to those that took the oath
29 October 2020
I'm not going to sugar coat it, some of us were lucky and came home. Some of our brothers didn't. But don't spread the leftist propaganda as a horror episode and pretend to know our minds. We took the oath and we did it willingly. Let's not pretend that the world isn't a better place because of our action. No WMDs? Get your facts straight. We are warriors, and live or die, we fight for those that cannot. This short disrespects all of us, living and dead, that wear the uniform. Be ashamed.

Pile of excrement...
3 July 2020
That would actually be a compliment for this movie. The cast was absolutely awful, not even one acting class evident in the performances. Script could have been better written by a drunk monkey. The DP should be banned from cameras for life. The plot was more scattered than the contents of a Kleenex. Aside from the eye candy, which did not even include obligatory full frontal nudity, this movie has zero redeeming qualities. Save yourself 80 minutes and go watch snails mate instead.
