Hridayam (2022)
All heart, no soul.
Not a bad movie, not a great movie, and definitely not a movie worth an 8+ rating! Hridayam had nothing fresh to offer story-wise or technically. There were only two scenes in the entire movie where one feels for the characters. The performances were average, probably because none of the characters were developed enough. The songs are decent, but too many in number..it's almost as if they've used music to cover up for the lack of good scenes and dialogues.
All in all, I'm just shocked that malayalees loved this very mundane and lengthy movie. Overrated for sure.

The script is all over the place!
The story has neither a head nor a tail...hard to believe that no one in the team found this idea to be stupid during the making. And the ending is just so weird. The only thing about the movie I kind of liked was the music.
The 7+ rating is seriously a joke!!
Lal Jose needs to spend some time thinking and deliberating before churning out flop after flop!
Bro Daddy (2022)
A Pointless Movie
The premise of the movie is interesting. But that's about it. The writers were unable to weave an engaging story out of it, and sought refuge in situational comedy (which only evoked laughter at some points). Mohanlal was decent. Prithviraj's acting was overdone, which tends to happen every time he's required to handle humor. Kalyani acted as though she relied on prompts. The other housewives Meena and Kaniha have little to do apart from looking lovely and cooking.
The set design was pretentious and drew unnecessary attention; at times the walls/tiles looked similar in all homes, as though all characters had the exact same taste. The music was average.
Overall, the movie was watchable but pointless and easily forgettable too! Seems like Prithviraj is no genius after all.

Lovely watch
Really enjoyed watching this. Everything is perfect about it - the script, performances, music...
I don't understand what kind of people are giving giving this a low rating. My guess is they're either ultra conservative or can't see beyond DDLJ.
Ramante Edenthottam (2017)
Delightful and Honest!
Absolutely loved this movie! Shows the evolution of a beautiful relationship. The movie exposes the hypocrisy and indifference inherently seen in many men, and their complete disregard for the feelings of the women in their lives. This is where the charming and sensitive Raman emerges as a breath of fresh air to the lovely and subservient Malini.
The reason this movie didn't do too well at the box office is because many malayali men don't like to be told the truth about themselves.
Kudos to Ranjith Shankar for making this film.
