Snack Shack (2024)

Worth watch

During 1991 in Nebraska, two friends makes money by running a snack shop with their own beer recipe along side the swimming pool during their summer holidays. Love comes in another form which really tests their relationship!!

Really loved the way this film was narrated. The director/Writer took a simple story but in the screenplay, he has really structured it well. Didn't get bored at any place. The core emotion of this film was "friendship". The writer test this relationship with love, jealousy betrayal and loss.

For a drama film like this, mainly the lead actors have to deliver their performances in such a way as to captivate the audience within the film. And yes, this film has such a crew!!. The actors who played the role of AJ and Moose have given excellent performances. They have really lived in their characters which made it even more compelling for the audience to stick to this film.

The background music was very nice. It was interesting from the first scene. But it fades a bit towards the end.

Cinematography was excellent. The scenes were interestingly shot. The work of the cinematographer is truly amazing.

Undoubtedly a good film.

Japan (2023)

Japan = Boring

Cops in search of a culprit named 'Japan' for robbing a jewellery shop.

Unexpected film from Actor Karthi (played as a lead 'Japan') and director Raju Murugan. Unexpected in the sense 'disappointed'.

The main reason was the poor screenplay. The film started, travelled and ended in a complete boring way. Not even attractive in a single scene. None of the technical aspects supported this film. The composition and a few frames of this film worked from a cinematography aspect. Even the title card didn't perfectly made and the tag animation of Karthi's 25 (The 25th film of the actor who performed the 'Japan' character)too had poor graphics. The cast performed really well.

Nothing positive to say about this film. Really disappointing!! This film would have been better if the importance of Japan's character gave to the screenplay. Only the Japan character, Karthi's performance, his costume design and make up shines.

Gentleman (2022)

Great plot!! But poor narration

A detective who framed for the abduction of his client fortunately grabs the opportunity to swap his identity and runs on mission to find his client.

The film doesn't even started well though it had a strong plot. Can easily get confused in the story if you're a foreign viewer like me.

Few twist and turns in the end which doesn't get exited after experiencing a tiredness journey.

The suspense factor doesn't helped due to the lack of concentration in screenplay and editting. Poorly written and the only consolation was the well structured characters and the casts who performed it.

Excessive music made the dialogue hard to hear in starting portion of the film.

So many un necessary scenes ruined the flow of narration. For instance, in beginning of the film where the car accident happens, it doesn't needed that much time to establish but the Director showed his creativity in that scene rather than concentrating on the narration.

Really appreciatsble performance from Choi Sung-eun (who performed the lady prosecutor).

Only thing that satisfyingly made was the visually compelling cinematography. Great work from the cinematographer.

Mr. Perfect (2014)

A tearjerer

A professional golfer who is away from his sport is called upon to teach golf inorder to rescue a school from shutdown due to lack of academic and sports performance.

Placed the story in backdrop of a island village felt attractive.

At the same time potraying the village people in hyperactive manner was so unconventional and irritating.

But the character of the protagonist and children structured so good.

The cast who played these characters were well fit in their roles.

Due to the genre this film may feel lag but non boring.

The other main thing this film indirectly spoke was about people who forgetting their roots and settling on cities.

This issue was well established in the character of a drunken father who doesn't allow his son to play golf as it's rich men game. And fears that his son would leave him oneday as his wife did.

And through the protagonist's character, it potrayed how one's star value ends up badly due to their dignity.

Definitely a feel good film watched experience. Kudos to the director and producer for bringing up a good film and also for the technicians who helped in this visual storytelling. Korean movies never disappoint us.

Maamannan (2023)

Good but....

Due to the influence of Mariselvaraj's previous works, the film has created a lot of anticipation. If you ask me, does this film gave the impact of what his previous film did?, I would say no.

As a complete political film, this film stands out of its own.

The director has a clear vision on the politics.

Although this film doesn't deals anything new but gave the eloborate vision on the caste based politics.

Belonging to a scheduled caste (respective of this film's story), an MLA is being rejected to get the respect as a senior politician by his party's union leader and other party officials.

Disturbed by their by the party's action personally and how his father is being treated by the leader of the party though he was a senior politician, conflict rises between the MLA's son and the party's union head.

However the flashbacks are important to the story, it lags the movie. It's the core for the film but it doesn't feel attached to the viewer.

The screenplay was loosely structured as it makes the film boring at some part.

The characters were developed good.

Though the screenplay was ineffective, All the characters were given equal space as that helps the viewers stick into the story.

Really need to mention that, Fahad Fazil (who performed as a politician) completely stands out of all artists by his extraordinary performance. Though we all know about how excellent he is at acting, in this film he gave his unique acting performance which we can't see in his previous films.

Even though it was a dull paced film, he was the one who carried the film single-handedly till the end.

Keerthy suresh's performance showed his excellence.

Vadivelu, a well known face across India who's known mainly for his versatile acting comedy roles, performed a serious role in this film.

I would say it worked 50-50.

Not only me but some audience in theaters found it difficult to accept him in a serious role. May be it would be the settle performance he gave for his character.

I think it's because we are used to see him do a lot of flexible and physical involvement in body language and variety of face expressions.

A. R. Rahman's Background score wasn't that much impressive. In few scenes it worked and in few it doesn't. Songs were quite good.

Other technical works weren't like mentionable.

Personally I liked director Mari Selvaraj's handling of cinema language. Throughout the film he made it compelling.

Especially in scene1, he used it to establish hero and villan in means of juxtaposition of dogs with pigs.

He openly states that he uses more metaphors in his film, this film is not an exception of that.

Well... Though doesn't fullfilled the expectations, some positive things made this as a good film.

Asvins (2023)

Storytelling in a boring way.

By watching this film I had experienced that "Think TWICE before going to watch a film by believing in the promotional talks".

Went to watch this in theatre to experience a horror movie stuffs as I had none of the experience watching horror genre films in theatres. But I didn't expected that my first experience would end up awful .

YES, it's an usual horror genre film with cliche scenes. The film follows the stereotype of typical horror film sound effects such as doors opening and closing, ghostly voices, dark shadow of a ghost roaming around and so on.

In terms of story, it's too the same in that case. 5 friends who explore the haunted places and post its documentary on their YouTube channel, grabs a big opportunity to explore the haunted mansion in terms of dark tourism which was given by a britain millionaire. How different the story, isn't? Crap!!

At least the screenplay could have been structured well and non boring, that too failed. Oh god!!, Do the director thought of audience's 130 bucks and their time which they set for entertainment?. Only 10% of the theater was occupied, none of the audience liked the film and their frustrated murmurs hit my ears.

Although the fantasy anime story is shown at first to draw the audience in and clarify what the film is to be, it relates with the film only at the beginning of climax, and that's where the need for our protagonist unveils. Usually the need of the protagonist is set at some point in the beginning of the film and then the story start moves interestingly as the obstacles and challenges he faces to fulfill his need. But here the need arises only at a few minutes before the end of the film.

Appreciable thing is the work of cinematographer at first. There were two found footage narrative sequences in this film, while watching we can understand how hard the cinematographer worked to bring it up to the screen so perfect. And also establishing shots in the beginning sequence were so astonishing. Although there were too much of establishing shots that felt unwanted, but the visuals were stunning.

Then, the music director. As well as he has given a good background scores for what the scene needs and especially what a horror film needs, he could have avoided overloading it as some dialogues were hard to get it.

Editor done his work better as for the mood of the film.

Though wonderful establishing shots in opening sequence, it gives horrific feel while with the background score and crisp editing. If this could continued throughout the film with non boring well narrative and unique treatment of horror screenplay, this film would have definitely been a good product.

Finally, the performances. Out of five cast Vasanth Ravi stands first with his performance. I think the makers deliberately added more scope for him than others performance. In many scenes, it was observed that he wasn't performed for the scene's mood rather he shows his acting ability to prove how good he's good at it.

Overall, this film reminds me of a Korean movie Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum which was released on 2018 got good response from the audience and critic. This film too more relevant to that film. The makers tried to bring Asvins like gonjiam but failed.

The writer also used chapter wise narrative technique, the theme of ritual cureses stuffs and philosophical dialogues by protoganist's voice over but nothing works. And also the metaphor of TWO throughout the film which doesn't felt attractive.

You can give it a try to see, If you doesn't worry about your time and money.

Basically Iam a movie buff. The worst thing was, I went with my friend whom I insisted to come with me. He was really disappointed. He's working hard for living, I too wasted his time and 130 bucks.

Kazhuvethi Moorkkan (2023)

An usual commercial flick.

Kazhuvethi was one of the ancient punishment method that was practiced in Tamil Nadu. Although this story has nothing to do with it, it is only used to justify the social message this film speaks about.

This story was about two friends irrespective of their caste have a strong brotherhood with eachother, this relationship breaks-up at a situation where a major misunderstanding arises.

Easily predictable screenplay make this film boring. The characters in writing was the only element which helps the film at many places from becomes boring.

Each and every characters in this film was built well and none of them created unnecessary. Characters namely higher official police, Hero's father, uncle and girl friend, etc.. Were like 'stays in heart' characters. The another reason for this was, the perfect casting choices for that respective character and the performances of the artists. Apart from the acting of Arulnithi and Dushara vijayan, I liked the acting of yaar kannan, Sharath Lohitashwa and Saya devi. Really stunned by their performances.

Also the dialogues were preety good.

Cinematography and music were the main pillars of this films that carries the film throughout end and also gives us a reason to sit back from our seats. D. Imman by this film proved once again that he is best at his zone which is village based theme films. The surprising factor is his horrific bgm, which comes whenever the visuals of Kazhuvethi appears in screen.

One of the best shots that attracted me was the way the cinematographer visualized the heroine's eyes. In that scene, the heroine not only challenging hero to see her eye to eye for a minute, also she challenge us. There were so many visual treats like this in this film especially when the visuals of Kazhuvethi hits us.

This film would have been better if the director gives some equal importance to the story as he gave to the content. Without a proper engaging screenplay any best content would fail to shine.

Thiruchitrambalam (2022)

Thiruchitrambalam will definitely attracts you.

Thiruchitrambalam, working as a full time food delivery guy. He lives in his house with his father, with whom he has a hatred relationship and has a close relationship with his grandfather and also he sees Shobana, his childhood friend as an important part of his life who lives downstairs. It is his custom to share all his joys and sorrows with her.

Dhanush, Nithya menen, Rashi khanna, Bharathi Raja and prakash Raj performed really superb. Especially Nithya Menen and Bharathi Raja gave an absolute good performance. Dhanush as usual performed well but Nithya steals the show.

Although the story is modest, the screenplay saves it. The film follows with realistic backdrop and life of a character. This reality fitted well in screenplay and will not leaves the audience from getting bored.

Also all the characters were built strong.

And a question of what's a man's real love over women' will follows in audience mind throughout the film. Though there are strong elements in screenplay, the director followed some cliches in this film which makes the screenplay little weak.

Anirudh's music was in ok level. Songs were good but same back ground music repeatedly follows throughout the film. Cinematography mades feel fresh and adds richness. The editing was good and helped the film to be sharp and sweet.

Definitely a worth watch. Undoubtedly a good film.

Sita Ramam (2022)

A beautiful film

A young lady has to deliver a letter to Sita which was written by lieutenant Ram to get her grandfather's properties.

If it is a love story, either the lovers join or they will get seperated. Following this theme, many love drama films have been releasing. But to make it more interesting, the writer of this film has succeeded in a fresh approach by changing the story's backdrop in the screenplay.

The backbone of any love drama movies are that's background music and Cinematography. This movie has the two of that strongly. Cinematography adds richness to every scenes and makes believe the period drama portion. Also scene composition and frames were well made to the characters emotion. Music and songs adds soulfulness to every portions. It lifts the audience emotion.

The artists who acted in this film were well fit to their characters. Especially Rashmika gave her best performance and she is the right option for her character. Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur were the right choice for a love pair.

The production and art department have given their best work in a way that the audience can feel that on screen. The period portions were made believable for the audience. The makeup department has also given their best.

The screenplay could have been made some more stronger as some parts were predictable to the audience.

Finally, this team gave their best by giving the best film. Goosebumps and emotional guarented. One of the best melodrama film.

Kuruthi Aattam (2022)

A definite disappointment

As a ward boy in a government hospital, Shakti gets involved in a blood game and stumbles between violence, friendship and love.

Although it is a story line that has already appeared many times in Tamil cinema, the story and screenplay are not strong in any way.

This film depicts the violent environment in madurai. This film claims that madurai means violence. Violence and mercenaries are not only in Madurai, it is spread all over the world. But tamil cinema shows that these are happening in only southern regions of Tamil Nadu and this film is not an expection to that.

Maybe it's because, we hear lot of news from those areas.

Though this a weak story, atleast the screenplay might have helped this film from becoming non boring but here it's not the case. Only the characters are designed well in the screenplay.

The artists who were acted in this film gave their full performances which depicts on screen wonderful. Especially the artists who performed in the characters Muthu, his short tempered friend, the ex-convict, his wife and a little girl gave top notch performances.

These characters stays in mind for long after watched this film. They should be definitely appreciated for their roles.

Coming to the technical aspects of this film, editing was so much impressive. Cinematography and music was good.

So many impressive frames are there in this film. Sri Ganesh, the director proves that he is one of a well trained and knowledgeable assistant from the director Mysskin in that aspect. Some shots and scenes that are designed in the film reminds of the director Mysskin's flavour. Especially the climax reminds me of Myskkin's Anjathe.

Definitely we should not compare a filmmaker by his previous works. But Director Sri Ganesh gave a soulful film in his debut film. But this film made his audience disappointed. Many audience applauds when the director name showed off at the opening credit and they were murmured by named him 'hey this is Ettu thottakkal film director' with so much curiosity. But in the end they were so much disappointed including me.

Should have been so much better but feel sorry to say that it is so much boring.

Sweet Bean (2015)

'Everyone has a story'

Sweet bean is a beautiful film that tells a story that everyone has a story including the things around us. Not only the characters but also the objects, environment, people, trees and trains in this film tells their story to us.

Every artists in this film performed really well, in particular the three main characters whom the story mainly revolves gave a stunning performance. I liked the old lady's performance which was really extraordinary.

The director's work was really excellent where the visual storytelling worked out well. And gave such an wonderful film about life and kinds of emotions in it. The strangers who comes into our life change us and our thoughts. They're like an angel in our life. The director also noted the most important emotions and feelings that you can feel while watching it.

This film visually treats as well and kudos to the cinematographer who really captured nice. And also stunning and adds richness to our eyes. More than background music the sounds in this film made well created.

Finally, a best film that gives us so many thoughts in our mind after watching it. This film will definitely create a impact in us. Don't miss this.

#Alive (2020)

Alive to entertain.....

Definitely can say that #Alive is one of the film that added into the list of best zombie movies. This film follows the same template story for a zombie movies which means our hero/protagonist needs to stay alive by not get bitten from zombies.

The writer perfectly designed the characters and well structured the screenplay. To attract the audience in to the story the writer adds a female lead character into the escaping journey with our hero. And the same time the story didn't distracted to any way and just focused on the core essence of the story.

The cinematographer provides a rich taste to the viewers and captured amazing. The production and art department gave a brilliant output as you can see that in the film.

Especially interior set works were amazing.

The makeup department have given their best output. Their work shined on screen and even doesn't looks like the artists who have performed the zombie role were in makeup rather they looked like real zombies. May be CG work helped them to brings that authenticity.

The director, finally have given a thrill packed zombie entertainer to the audience with the help of all department's work. Also music and editing was good.

The writer could have made the writing better in the part where he establishes a loneliness in the mind of our hero because it drags the fast moving screenplay a little bit. But actually it needed for a character to undergo that mindset of loneliness. He could have found a better way to express this rather than taking that much time. I bet this will not make the viewers boring and that's my personal opinion.

One of the best thrilling ride into the world of zombies. And a good entertainer.

Oh! My Gran (2020)

Non boring and entertaining

A fun filled emotional ride into a family which has a man, his mother (who has dementia), his daughter, and their pet. Story begins when the man's daughter met with an accident and admitted in the hospital. And he needs to find who's the person who hit his daughter and ran away.

Good story and unexpected screenplay which was really made good and contrast to the story. How can be a serious story made fun fulled? Really interesting.

Emotional elements were smoothly applied to the story and didn't made cry filled rather maintained fun filled journey towards end.

The artist who performed the mother role steals the show. And she gave an amazing performance. All characters were designed well. Lee Hee- joon also acted well and made his personality fit to his character because his character was quit tricky which has a perfect balance of fun and emotion. The girl who performed the daughter role was so cute and she gave her excellent work to this film.

Cinematography, editing and music were the supporting pillars for this film. Cinematography was so good. The director also made his job well but writing didn't helped much and made quit guessable. Felt that the writer could have added more strength to the mystery factor and other supporting elements which play a major role in the climax.

Finally, definitely a worth watching and entertaining film from South Korean film industry which never disappoint us.

Thamaasha (2019)

A beautiful film

A man who's worried about his baldness searching for a suitable women for his life. Would he found? Let's watch it and find it.

Malayalam cinema always give importance to the stories than the star value and so on and this film proves that. This film moves with a slow pace but doesn't bore the audience due to the realistic screenplay as like we see in Malayalam films.

The perfect cast was chosen for this film and each of them did well in their performance.

Vinay was the perfect fit to his character and gave his settled performance for his character.

Mainly, the essence of this story didn't fade away at any point and was so brilliantly worked out. The main story to be shared and it did. Life is not always perfect. A must watch film and a beautiful film from Malayalam cinema.

K.G.F: Chapter 2 (2022)

Rocky the beast and unbeatable

KGF 2 really had a big expection among all Indian audience as the result of part 1. And yes, our expectations were fullfilled at the part 2.

Few years before KGF 1 was released, there were no eye among other language audience in India over kannada cinema as including all, trolled the kannada cinema but there were many notable works from them including Lucia, Kavaludari etc..and filmmakers like Rakshit Shetty, Hemanth Rao Pawan proving us with their films and new wave have started but now the new wave elaborates with KGF.

Movies like 3idots, Andhadhun, Bahubali, and now KGF takes Indian Cinema to the next level. At the end we should not mention these films as Bollywood movie or Tollywood or sandalwood and Kollywood rather we should name them as an Indian film and that will prove us among other nations. And KGF did that.

More than a Commercial film KGF stands unique from that tag. Yash the rockstar rocked by his performance. His presence in each and every frame gives an energy to the audience watching the film. All cast performed well especially Raveena, Sanjay Dutt and prakash Raj proved that they were legends.

I can't able to mention a specific department that gave their work best, all the departments did a great job. Whole movie was a treat to the audience. Rocky was the best written character in Indian cinema.

Really a greatest work from the director. The director handled the emotion really well. A best entertainment ever in Indian cinema.

Audience enjoying it in theatres.

Beast (II) (2022)

Best entertainer ever

An ex RAW agent gets into the mission to save people at the hijacked mall.

It was a good family entertainment film. Vijay is the one who completely steal the show. The presence of Vijay in each and every frame made the audience ecstatic. However the story line loss it's uniqueness the screenplay made it non boring but quite guessable. And also this film was completely logicless.

Other artists, due to the lack of importance on their role in this film get wasted.

Unlike the director's previous films, in Beast his touch completely fades though he tried to impose it.

The editing was crisp and he didn't made the audience gets bored. He did his job well.

And also the cinematography was impressive.

The bgm really gives goosebumps but some score felt like 'heard somewhere' and also from the music director's previous films.

Art department works were so good and they really gave their hard work in each and every scenes. VFX felt ok.

Finally a good entertainment film though there's lot of flaws. All set of audiences enjoyed in the theatre. Especially family audience can definitely enjoy it. And also a treat for Vijay fans.

Radhe Shyam (2022)

A decent love movie

A famous palmist (who can guess future by seeing a person's hand) by guessing his future avoids women while the relationship comes to a stage of love rather he only needs a flirtationship but he fall for a women and can't avoid her from his life.

A good oneline that is more than enough to make a proper, curious and melodious love film but here it slips in the screenplay. Some unwanted and logicless scenes deviates the narration. But it doesn't get bored that much.

Prabas and Pooja hedge gave their performance so well. They were the right pair for their characters. And all the artist performed good.

The VFX and Colouring were the soul for this film which made the film convincing and beautiful to watch.

Music was so awesome and it elevates the mood.

The visuals were so stunning and the credit goes to cinematographer. Really a great work from him.

Must watch film especially for its visuals.

Chanakya (2019)

A pakka entertainment

A raw agent needs to rescue his batchmates from enemies.

The story lacks it's uniqueness and follows the carbon copy template of commercial movies.

Screenplay was good and didn't lags much.

Everyone performed good especially nazzar and gopichand done well. Bgm was good and some songs were nice to hear. The main pillar of this movie was visuals, so stunning cinematography. One of the main reason to watch because of it's visuals and it's the reason to hold the audience. The editing also made well. The reason I have watched this movie was for the director Thiru, one of the talented directors in Tamil cinema and his films have uniqueness and create curiousness. But in this film he fades away in that point but wins in provided a decent entertainer. His direction in this film was extraordinary.

This film won't disappoint much, definitely watch it.

Salute (2022)

Good entertainer

A police officer tries to catch the real offender of a murder to save an innocent person who's framed by other officers and put into prison.

The story was not unique as we come through a lot like this but the screenplay they structured was good and keeps the mystery element till the end and importantly non boring.

Background score was the soul for this film as it well fitted to the scenes.

The cinematography was quite good and also the editing.

Each and every artist played their role well especially dulquer (artist who played the lead character) did well. He performed so well as you can experience while watching the film.

The director gave a good mystery film but what made me feel a bit sad was the climax which didn't worked out for me, may be it's my perception. While watching this film Korean film 'Memories of murder' came into my mind. Finally, watch it if you're a fan of mystery films. It will definitely keeps you hooked.

Iam really impressed by the mystery element in this film.

Valimai (2022)

Full goosebumps...

A police officer tries to catch the principal offender who's the main reason for the crimes happens in a city.

Though this film follow some commercial templates, the essence of this film was so clear and didn't fades away at any point. And this film addresses some real crime numbers that were still continuing in the city. The reason for the crimes, why it's happening, and what's the problem with the person who commits the crime was showcased clearly. Ajith Kumar and the stunt sequences in this film were the main reason to holds the audience. Ajith's presence in each scenes gives the goosebumps especially the intro scene and his stunt scenes. The action sequences were so good. And want to tell mainly that the performance of kartikeya was so good and he handles all type of emotions well. And he is the perfect villian option for this film and for Ajith also. Imagine, how should an actor be powerful and fit to play a role/villain against Ajith as he itself a perfect villan and hero. The cinematographer and editor gave their work good and I think they did their best because the cinematography and editing was the reason to the action sequences came out so well. The back ground score was good and gives goosebumps. Finally the director H Vinoth, he tried his best to maintain the essence of the film till end and yeah definitely he won in that. But where he missed out was he followed some commercial templates as it felt disappointed came from him. Other than that his direction was so good and the way he potrayed the crime scenes was awesome. The solution he gave at the end was acceptable and he gave the solution from his point and it suits well.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006)

This is a film that captivates the viewers.

The whole family is fighting for the little girl's dream of participating in a little miss sunshine beauty competition.

I could say this film as a "one of the best written film ever". All the characters in this film were written so precise and I think that's the reason of this film's impact in the viewers. And also the screenplay was well structured, so compelling and non boring. More than a story this is a character driven film. And all these characters were well settled and designed in the screenplay.

The cast in this film helps to shine the characters even more and they were so apt to the characters. Each characters were like made especially for those actors and that's were a performer wins.

The cinematography was so good and you'll know that when started watching the film as you can notice it at first few shots in the beginning. Background music and songs were nice to hear and fitted well.

The editor helps in some scenes and cut this film good as it reach 1hour45minutes.

While watching this film it gets the viewer in to it's world and that feeling was amazing. Every ups and down during while attaining their goals its like we were also exists in that situation. The impact this film makes was the characters doesn't goes away also after watched and like well connected. Each and every moment you will get surprised.

What a fantastic film.

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

This film was about a man's struggle for love on his children. Beyond the aspect of being an entertainment, a film wins the audience heart when it brings out a change in life and this film did. The story was the main reason to be it's a great film as it was based on the novel Mrs. Doubtfire. Another main reason to be a great film was the makeup artist and department for bringing the lady getup and makeup for Robin Williams convincing him as a old lady. And for their excellent work they won an academy award for this film. Definitely wants here to mention Robin Williams for his work as an performer, he was the one who carried this film singe handed throughout the end. And other artists did their role good. Although the story was from the novel, the screenwriters (Randi Mayem Singer and Leslie Dixon) did a great work to be well structured and non boring film. And the director Chris Columbus narrated it good and visualized really well with the help of cinematographer Donald McAlpine. The editor's work was good as it seen clearly in some scenes he really gave his excellence. Apart all, this film addresses a major family problem that goes around between parents and children still now. MUST WATCH FOR ALL PARENTS.

I came to this film after watched Chen Yu-hsun's (director of this film) "Love go go" which was completely different from this film but similar in making style. This film's story follows a women, who's an aspiring tv model come back to her own town due to her debt burden in behalf of her boyfriend who vanished finding the way to clear the debt by planning to bring back her father's famous restaurant. With this plot the director can made this as a serious film rather he made it with a fun filled comedy drama. YES, definitely this film feels moving slow but the characters, their humor sense, the way they interacts, particularly the stunning art works in visuals makes us feel NON-boring and also especially the foods they showed testing our tongue buds.

The actress who played as a main lead looks fit to her character and so cute. Her dressing sense makes us feel lovely. Not only her , everyone in this film fit to their role and delivered their good performance. The characterization in the screenplay designed brilliant.

By seeing the visuals, it shows that the work of art department and costume design department gave their tremendous output. Every places, their background and surroundings designed very interesting and makes to feel so COOL. I don't know that which team made the foods showing in this film but one thing I can say that they did lots of information on collecting and to make those dishes.

Throughout the film music played a best role to elevate those humors, comedies and funny scenes. At last it's definitely a good fun filled comedy drama entertainer.

One star less because, comparing to his film that I have mentioned earlier I felt that this film has something left. May be it's due to different subject or his making. Usually we should not compare and talk about his making but I felt that.

Bao Bao (2018)

An emotional drama

This film deals with the story of two women in a homosexual relationship. This film speaks about their important need in life and to attain their need they collaborate with another homosexual men couple and these people's emotional journey take overs.. The subject this film talked was so strong and the emotion they delivered was good. From this film the viewer can just clearly think about the emotion of those persons. It's a little bit of non linear narration but keep on moving... the viewer can get it clearly without confusion. Speaking about the technical side of this film, the cinematography and sounds are so good which keeps the audience to feel like a pleasant picture. Being a drama this film offer a slow phase in moving but the emotion keeps you awake till the end. A FEEL GOOD DRAMA.

Cape No. 7 (2008)

A good package entertainer

This film's story was good which revolves around a people of a small town in Taiwan. A young man who's a temporary postman and also a good singer frustrated by his work, one day he get to read a letter contains a periodic love story (A story) but do not have a receiver address and b story follows as in search for musical team members in that town to perform in front of a japanese singer who's about to come to that town within a week in which our young man joins as a singer and then the story follows.

The screenplay was in good phase to fit the film's genre (Musical Drama). To keep the audience not to get bored this screenplay has some humors and comedy in it which worked really well.

The characters in this film was good and the cast who performed it really suits to it.

Music was a another pillar to this film especially that piano soundtrack was awesome and songs too. Finally a good package of fun entertain drama.
