George & Tammy (2022)
My HEART
I am familiar with both George and Tammy's music but did not know anything about their story so that is my perspective. I was absolutely hooked from episode one. Michael Shannon really makes you feel the undying love and passion come out of the screen and practically smack you in the face. Jessica Chastain is as perfect as she always is and you never stop loving the character even when you don't exactly like what she is doing. Same is said for Shannon's performance.
I cried I think the entire last episode. It was beautiful, real, sad and unfortunately not a fairytale like I wanted it to be. It's another love story where people got in the way of their own happiness. Such is the reality for so many people.
28 Days Haunted (2022)
Why
Listen.... I love the premise. I actually would watch about 50 seasons of this show BUT this felt so crazy rushed and incomplete. I felt like how was this 28 days??? I didn't even realize it had ended. It didn't feel finished. I also liked that it was kind of bad. I think it's cool that you want some fake people and then hopefully people with a real gift. I hope there is a second season.
I would just suggest a few different things.
1. Longer seasons.
2. No CGI
3. Put tests thought out to see if the groups are fake or not. That would be fun to weed out the bad groups within the first 5 days.
4. Take the constructive criticism and make the best show you can.
The Midnight Club (2022)
Again Mike Flanagan rips my soul out
Everything Mike Flanagan has done for Netflix has absolutely transfixed me. The midnight club is no different. It is exactly as it needs to be for what the story is. The subject matter is dark, sad, sometimes funny, a little immature at times highlighting the ages of the characters themselves, a little romantic, sometimes very very scary. I loved it. What could of been just another okay that was fine on to the next, is just elevated again due to the creators ability to just reach down a little deeper, hitting something in me at the very least when it comes to the fear of death, knowing ones mortality, remembering the ones I have lost like no other person can. I am a huge fan so maybe I am biased but I just see so much beauty in the way this story is told. Is it my favorite thing ever created? No. Will I rewatch it a few times through the year? Yes. Did I want to punch my TV when I saw the ending even though I knew that twist? A thousand percent? Can't wait for more!! Feed me! IM STARVING!!!!!
