The Prestige (2006)
one of the best films I have ever seen
19th century London, 2 magicians, and their rivalry, this was a masterpiece. The compelling story full of twist will keep your eyes open the whole time, truly magical, ++A performances by everyone. Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman were amazing, the deception each character brings is so compelling and you will soon find yourself obsessed with the film. The dynamic framework and Victorian setting pull you in from the real world and take you on thrilling experience. Acting as it was meant to be, you will feel the dramatics as if you were at a theatre play and experience the great affects of film. A haunting dark force surrounds many parts and after you leave the theater the film will stay with you. Don't blink.
Nip/Tuck: Faith Wolper, PhD (2006)
Nip/Tuck returns to form
Finally! Season four has been a little weak compared to the past seasons, which is understandable. The series did a good job handling the preasure to deliver after the success of season three. The premiere seemed to be a warm up before the season went all out but the following episodes were just off focus and side-tracked way to much, after I watched an episode I thought to myself: wait, nothing happened?? But after just watching this episode 10 minutes ago on my DVR I said this were season 4 started, it was absolutely crazy and brilliant at the same time. A must see and I hope Brook Shields has more to come in the season, she fits in great. Can't wait for next week.
Crank (2006)
Very Unique, like a cheesy B movie, but is superb
Great. Bottom line, Crank is a unique and ironic film that takes turns you never saw coming. Fast pace and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The comedic relief is outrageous more laughs were coming out of the theater than gasps. Crazy framework and scene structuring.
Crank is a film that knows the majority will see mediocer, but shoves it in their faces with a chaotic and blood pumping thrill ride
Sthatmen does a great job as a hit-man, and there are plenty of kool CQC flashes that he uses to take down many thugs. With some of the delusions and camera work you feel like you've been shot up with a hallucinogenic. Some scenes will leave you wide eyed and open mouth and others will make your sides split with clever comedy. Overall if you want a weekend thrill ride then CRANK it up
