Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Beautiful
Its a beautiful gem we have here. I will admit it is a little bit over the top at points. Just stay on because it will clearer.
This i a smart script with full of undertones and subtle messages to life, whats worth living for and how to treat your loved ones. Its about appreaciating what you got.
The film is about Evelyn who feels overwelmed with life and Having some kind of nervous breakdown and travels to other dimensions re-descovering her life.
The acting is superb, I honestly think Both Stephanie Hsu and Jamie Lee Curtis could have picked up The Oscar.
Only downfall for me is that it feels quite long.
I also absolute loved The ending who got me some seriositet teary eyes.
I Really reccomend this.
Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021)
Poor and amateurish
Nope, that wont do.
I thought it started of pretty good and that the 4.5 might be misleading but turns out it was quite accurate, might even be a pinch high.
The casting is good (and no I dont mean Bruce Willis, what was the point of his character and sortof cameo-type of part).
But Fox and Charmichael delivers solid acting and Hirsch is good halfway to the move.
The problem is the script wich is very static and the editing wich feels like a school project. The directing seems poor and very amateurish, and the whole movie is very cliché. It never really take off.
I wont come back to rewatch this.
The Following (2013)
Its all cliché
If you like watching a series that is a cliché of all other serial murderer film you ever watched, this is your cup of tea. The writers and directors did not make a single thought of themself.
Even so, pretty good actors make it watchable or at last good as a background-noise. Even if some of the actors are very bad, the main problem is the script. It is written as if a teenager stated different expressions that has to be in a movie, wich make it sound very static and not very realistic to be honest.
I am also disapointed at the special effects and mainly the bloodwork. Looks very 70's corn-syrup kind a like.
Wont be rewatching this...
Jurassic World (2015)
Watchable, no originality
I do not understand the amount of 10/10 reviews. Ive read reviewers who scored a 10 and opens with "its not perfect but...". A 10 should be a masterpiece wich this is not, It is watchable at best, with great CGI and Chris Pratt who brings the movie up. The music score is still good (even if its from The first movie).
However, it lacks in story and has no originality, and Bruce Dallas Howard might be one of the worst actors Ive seen. The child actors are not believeble in either acting or characters. The build up and characters are very stereotype.
If you are gonna see one Dinosauriemovie I recommend rewatching Jurassic Park instead.
The Harder They Fall (2021)
Tarantino-inspired but trues to hard
The director has clearly taken inspire by quentin Tarantino with overly violence and characters lackning empathy. Seen allready in the post Credit style. But it tries to hard, and lackning orginality.
It (2017)
Uncunclusive
Unlogical, bad acting and a plot who squeezes to Much. The only thing i bring with me is Bill Skarsgård as pennywise who was briljant. Otherwise a bad movie.
Kimi (2022)
Okay watch
Okay movie, thoughts going back to "enemy of the states". A little weak in plot and a half-half performance by Kravitz, as usual. Could have been more.
Modus (2015)
Quite exciting
Exciting plot with a good tempo building but unfortunatly a bit destroyed by the stiff manuscript wich makes some of the characters read off a piece of paper and the poorly character who is claimed to be this super smart profiler who makes kindergarden notices and is portraied really poorly by Kinnaman, long thime since Ive seen such bad acting. But overall interesting and a good thriller (season 1).
The Adam Project (2022)
Copycat of a movie
This feels like a movie you saw before. Nottingham original about either story or characters. Taking ideas
from back to the future and making reynolds talk like in deadpool.
Nothing wrong with the movie per-ce, just booring. Dont watch this if you wanna see something you've never seen before.
Tenet (2020)
Another Classic!
Yet another masterpiece from Nolan. When a movie is that thoughtful that most people need too watch it twice you did a great job.
Summer of Sam (1999)
To much American
Overrated movie. People don't behave in this way like the screenplay sets the characters up anyplace else than in minds of Americans and how they want the world to see them.
Sling Blade (1996)
Touching, almost perfect
Quite an enter from Mr Thornton. Acting is superb and story and plot is interesting. Main characters are developed in a good way to understand what's underneath.
I belive the in-movie music is used good for building up scenes as well.
What I'm missing to make it perfect is some more background och Karl's father to better understand what was building Karl up before the murders at his youth.
But overall an amazing picture that makes you think, with interesting buildup, great acting and it will stay in your mind.
