The joke's on you
12 May 2024
Warning: Spoilers
That's how you will feel at end of the movie. There's nothing to take away at the end of it, it's all one big fake show. There i said it. A failing radio jockey tries to revive his show on the back of an Intern who joins the show by pranking him who in turn ends up pranking Mel Gibson who in turn ends up wasting everyone's time watching this nonsense. Nothing and I mean nothing good comes out of this movie. It's two hours down the drain. What were they thinking? I mean you can't go and tell anyone what you watched, it's that pointless. Imagine telling your friends, hey i watched this movie and your friend asks you, ok what was it about ? And your answer is NOTHING. Total waste of time. If you still want to watch it, go ahead, the joke's on you. I mean it literally...

Super snooze fest
2 April 2024
When I first started watching the movie with the English dubbed version, I didn't enjoy it because the voices and sound effects seemed slow and unimpressive. I then tried watching it with the original soundtrack, but it didn't get any better. The action scenes, which should have been thrilling, were just not exciting at all, mostly because they were too focused on showing violence without a good pace. The sound editing was also not great, making the movie feel dull and uninteresting. It seemed like the filmmakers were more interested in filming some nice scenes in the rocky terrain than in developing a gripping story. I couldn't feel any empathy for the main characters when they were in danger or got hurt because the movie didn't make me care about them. In the end, it was really boring and not worth watching.

Much better than Hollywood
23 March 2024
I wasn't expecting much from this movie but it surprised me. It was much better than what Hollywood has been making these days which is mostly rainbow stuff. This is a good weekend watch even though it's in Russian with subtitles you can still enjoy the action scenes and understand what's happening. Top notch production quality makes this a pleasure to watch. There's a little bit of a romantic under current which could have been avoided but it wasn't too bad. The ending is not bad, can easily lead to a sequel and I hope they make it , it will be interesting to see what happens. Overall a great watch and good fun.

All brawn , no brains
23 March 2024
I was hoping for some hard hitting edge of your seat action thriller but this movie falls flat fast. Conor McGregor was the worst of them all, he can't act if his life was on the line. Absolutely ridiculous dialogues throughout the movie. It's like the movie was done in bits and pieces with no real heart. What a let down! For the amount of money they spent on this movie I expected something solid. Jake Gyllenhaal was ok but he could have delivered a far better performance. The movie almost felt like a B grade movie at times. Seen far better movies in this genre, I give this 5 for the effort , missed the mark by a lot.

She's from the media and the media lies
1 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
It's so obvious form Indrani's statements and body language that she's a liar and a characterless person. The moment she said that Sidhartha said he would accept her and Sheena into his life was because he thought he would have a better life was something that made me cringe. She then goes on to have another kid with Siddharth ? And then she says that she left Sidhartha because he was a very ordinary person? She basically used people in her life for her ambitions. Her father probably molested or raped her and I can sympathise with her for that and I can accept that probably messed her up but for her to call everyone else characterless shows her in poor light.

Bottom line is that she had a bad childhood but her daughter Sheena paid the ultimate price. There is no bigger villain in this story than Indirani.

Very ordinary
16 February 2024
If this was what Griselda was really like then she was a dumb person who blew away whatever power she earned for nothing. The series was equally dumb and had no meat, acting was average and SV was underwhelming. Overall a borefest after episode 3. I am surprised that Pablo even made a statement like the one this series claims at the start. People were too generous when they called her Godmother, she was actually quite dumb to be honest. Regret wasting time watching all the episodes, glad it was a limited series. The people playing Dario , RIvi and Rafa did a decent job but that's about it. SV was disappointing.

Predictable as a Sunrise
4 February 2024
Everything about this movie was so predictable. The name gave it away even before watching it. The cussing is an American thing? Or s black thing? Either way It was a bit much and sets the wrong tone. Wonder who the foul mouthed dialogue writer was for this movie. Snoop looks more like a women these days, what's happening to him? Also how does someone with snoops body even be a football player without being broken to shreds? Nothing in his movie adds up. If this was a cleaner movie maybe the kids would have enjoyed it but this movie is not for kids. Overall a big disappointment and wish I could date this higher but I'm being generous with a score of 1. So many talented actors wasted in this movie.

Oceans 7-Eleven
28 January 2024
If laughter is the best medicine, then "LIFT" might just leave you in need of a doctor. Kevin Hart, seems to have mistaken a heist movie for a snooze fest. Imagine the adrenaline of a heist... at a 7-Eleven. Now forget it. That's more intense than this film.

It's as if Netflix, in their infinite wisdom, asked, "How do we make a movie as dull as elevator music?" and Kevin Hart answered the call. The ensemble cast couldn't have been more lackluster if they tried - and I'm not entirely sure they did.

Every time a comedian plays hero, it's like watching a cat swim: they can do it, but it's painfully awkward. Kevin, buddy, stick to the jokes - although, considering his recent comedy specials, maybe branching out isn't such a bad idea. But if "LIFT" is the result, it's a leap too far.

Hart delivers a performance as flat as the soda left open during his last Netflix special - which, by the way, also felt like a contractual obligation rather than entertainment. "LIFT"? More like a letdown. Better luck next time, Kevin.

Problems only America can think off
26 January 2024
Wow, I went into this not knowing what it was about and only after about 5 minutes did I realise how dumb this whole thing was and that someone made a documentary to talk about it. Only in America can u see this kind of stupidity where parents give birth to kids and then think it's the world's problem to raise them. I guess this is what happens when you are not developed in your head but u want to have kids. An out of control teen equals an incompetent parent, plain and simple. If u can't raise them, if you can't guide them then don't give birth. Use a condom. There is no reason to have so many people on this earth to begin with.

Super slow sluggish
7 January 2024
This is like watching a spy movie for geriatrics., Salman man is in slow motion in every scene making a super slow movie even more sluggish. It's like he was forced to act in this movie Ananth's will. He's lethargic, looks bored and behaves like a geriatric himself. No wonder they delayed the movie on OTT cos they wanted to go with the theme of being super slow. Nothing in this movie is exciting or even sparks any curiosity. Everything is cliched, copies form English movies, nothing original. Why does Salman khan even act anymore? He's Makde enough money that he can retire now and let some youngsters take over.

Brilliant
2 January 2024
Brilliant performances by both Sean Patrick Flanery and Jordan Belfi. No frills just hard hitting dialogues that get to the point. If you are trying to watch a a horror flick with screams and jump scares then this is not for you. However if you are in it for a psychological thriller then this movie delivers on all parameters. The movie does have the obvious religious angle of God vs Demon but it also has the hallmarks of a serial killer type personality of Ted Bundy leaving you confused if he's good or bad. Sometimes you root for the bad and other times you root for the good. This would make for a good sequel and the end does reveal that possibility. Overall a masterpiece that deserves a watch.

Dave Chappelle yawn
1 January 2024
I used to like this guy, but this show was a snooze fest. What's happening to all these comedians? They have become unoriginal and showgirls who are just playing to the audience. The funny part is that the audience was unamused and chuckling forcefully at best. Most of the jokes were watered down and flat. Can't imagine Dave chappele being diplomatic and balanced. Honestly he looks like he's done and tired. How fare will you go to sell this stupid dream theme? Most comedians are rich now and made their money and they don't have any more jokes left. You are the joke and they know that. They are laughing at us.

A movie that gets on your nerves
1 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The movie drags the concept for far too long and continues to stretch and stretch a point that is already established. Every single character gets on your nerves by showcasing their incompetency and foolishness. By the end of the movie you will hope and pray that both the characters die soon and end this movie so we can do something else with our time. Find something better to watch so you don't ruin your day with this stupid movie. Harish kalyan has a lot of potential but he has a knack for choosing weak scripts. I blame the director and writer for making such a dumb movie and ruining the new year weekend.

Not Animal enough in the first half
13 December 2023
I don't understand all the people complaining about the movie being misogynistic. I think the director made it clear that name of the movie was "Animal" and. Not "Pussy Cat", I would have been surprised if the Animal did not behave like an Animal. That being said, I felt the first half was not Animal enough and was too cheesy and corny and they could have avoided that. The second half lives up to its name and gets help from the arrival of the Villain who is also Animal like. I wish the first half was made with more heart. The end part were the sequel is teased is a big give away and it's clear who survives in that. I wish the director did not make it so obvious.

Deserves multiple national awards
1 December 2023
We have the best movie of 2023 here and it came on the last month of the year. What a fabulous movie. Every single person in the movie was cast perfectly and the story does not move away from its core even for a moment. Fantastic performances and fantastic direction. This is how a movie should be made. Kudos for everyone that worked on this movie. A story that needed to be told and told in a way that brought out its true emotions without any frills. I don't want to give too much away but it's a movie that you should watch and give it your full attention. Siddharth was a fabulous and so were the child artists. Don't miss this movie. This movie will sweep the national awards.

Incompetence everywhere
3 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There's not one character in this movie that shows the slightest competence. It's like a movie made to glorify incompetence and the audience are supposed to appreciate it. It had bits of silence of the lambs with a a psychopathic killer and also has bits of other Hollywood movies where young girls are kidnapped and tortured then killed. Yet every single person including the cops, the killer, the family shows unbelievable level of incompetence at every step. They catch the killer and better him sit casually in a medical examination without any restraints leading to him escaping. A murder suspect is allowed to travel in a car with a civilian with cops politely following them in another car which eventually leads the killer to escape again. I mean the level of incompetence in this movie is hillarious and unbelievable. Was the director trying to show that there are other more incompetent people in this world other than him?

Another low grade movie by Netflix.

Wolf of wall Wall Street meets Erin Bronkovich on a budget
29 October 2023
And it does neither one well. This is like the poor man's version of wolf of Wall Street and obviously inspired by Erin bronkovich.

I don't know much about the fentanyl problem in the US but I know it's a big deal and this movie just shows what a big sham the pharma industry is and it needs to be exposed.

Coming back to the movie, I wish they didn't try to be a copycat version of other movies and tried to do something original.

Overall it just felt like a cheap rip off. If you have nothing else to watch you can maybe watch this. That's about it. Nothing special here. Just another mediocre Netflix production.

Cheap vulgar cliched
27 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a complete disgrace and an insult to the first movie. Lawrence needs to be banned from acting in movies, he thinks his audience is dumb and brainless and he thinks he is funny.

The movie has everyone hamm acting like junior artistes. Overacting to the extent that you need to keep fast forwarding to stop you from throwing up.

Tamil comedy relies on this age old comedy concept of insulting others which they think is funny. It's dated, boring and cringe.

They could have just named this movie Kanchana 4 or something because it falls in that category of dumb movies.

Couldn't wait to watch the movie till Kangana comes on screen cos she cannot rescue this movie even though he suits the role of a crazy psychopath.

Family of frauds
20 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The story is fabricated and most of the family is fraudulent. It's clear Arne killed Allan because he was drunk and had a problem with Allan dating his GF in the past.

Even if one were to believe possession is real, there was not one incident where Arne showed any signs of possession before or after the murder.

It's crazy that Netflix is producing such garbage.

The only people who were remotely sane in that house were the father and David. The mother was obviously crazy drugging the family.

In short, it's an attention seeking family trying to cover up their stupidity with this devil story.

The hand pump is mightier than the sword
6 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The title should give you an idea of what to expect from the movie. It's filled with cliched dialogues, ham acting and a story that may have worked in 1975. The first half of the movie is loaded with songs, there's more songs than dialogues in the first half. Every movie these days is based on a father rescuing his son and this is another one of those movies. This is a movie for sunny Deol fans if there are any. I really wonder how this movie made so much money at the box offices sunny Deol is as always shouting all through the movie like he never heard of a microphone ever being invented. Absolute waste of time watching this movie.

So disappointed
14 September 2023
I was hopeful that this film would reignite my interest in Bollywood, but it fell short of expectations. Even the inclusion of Southern film stars couldn't salvage it. The movie was a chaotic mix of loud noise and exaggerated performances. It lacked any semblance of rationality, undermining the audience's intelligence. The soundtrack was far from appealing. As for the plot, it seemed like a patchwork of recycled ideas from both older and recent films. Exiting the theater felt like a long-awaited relief, especially given that the headache induced by the noise lingered for nearly a day. The worst part is that I watched this on IMAX. What a waste of money!

CGI overkill
19 August 2023
Why do movie makers use so much of CGI these days? I guess if they are making a Prime or Netflix movie they resort to CGI but this was just an overkill and even funny to watch at times. The production value is as worse than a TV serial which these days are made better than movies. For a Vijay Anthony movie this was a major disappointment. This is why Malayalam movies are on top of their game these days, they are as real as they get and the acting is professional and to the point. I wish movie makers focused more on quality than quantity. A very big let down by Vijay Antony. I'm sorry but can't give this movie more than 1.

Wasted opportunity
13 August 2023
Not sure what the director was trying to project with this documentary. It wasn't the facts that's for sure. It's a mish mash of different points of view with none of them coming across strong. The thing about a character like Veerappan is he is a modern day Robinhood and the character needs to be presented as such. At the end of the documentary one should be conflicted as to whether Veerappan was a good guy or just a bad guy or did he have at least have traces of goodness in him. Are the police for bad ones here or did they use unjustifiable force and means to cover for their incompetency? The series does none of that. It just touches on several points like it was in a hurry to cover all points.

CGI disaster
5 August 2023
Why did Jackie Chan even bother with this movie? Might as well watch a cartoon. Extremely boring and the CGI makes it even worse. Had to stop watching it after about 30 minutes cos the torture was unbearable. I guess when your time is up it's up, Jackie chan might as well hang up his boots and retire. I know he can do better even at this age but this just looks like a money run that he did to make a quick buck. I guess they think people are suckers and will watch anything as long as it has big names associated with a movie. Oh and John canna is no better, he also a CGI puppet in the movie. Disappointing.

Good clean family entertainer
30 July 2023
Hard to believe this is a movie by a first time director, the casting was top notch and camera work was excellent. Although it did feel a little slow paced at times especially at the start, the movie picks up pace later and is quite fun to watch. Overall a fun family entertainer that is easy on the eyes and a fun weekend theatre watch.

Everyone performed well, the music was catchy and leaves you humming tunes even after you leave the theatre. There were some laugh out loud moments and witty dialogues especially by Yogi Babu.

Young college going crowd will especially connect with this movie and families as well. Overall a good effort for a first movie by Dhoni productions.
