very low rate boxing even by celebrity standards
14 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Most of the matches were not good but had a few ok moments Anson Gibb Vs Austin Mcbroom had a total of 6 knockdowns. Gib down once in the 1st a flash knockdown that Austin stood over Eason Gibb and flexed about. Only seconds later Gib scored his own knockdown to close the round. 2 was a little more even but short lived as Gibb again scored right and left hooks that saw Austin go down twice in the 3rd and three times in the fourth before the match was called off. Landon Mcbroom looked decent in his debut match vs Adam Saleh and this should not have ended as a draw. Next two ex football players fought very timidly up until the ko it was a bad match.

Chris goes off on Daniel Farrands Ghost vision version of a true story
7 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Chris Stuckmann rightly said watching the Haunting of Sharon Tate was cringe worthy at best very true. It was rightly pointed out that while this movie is bad that has more to do with the script being filled with dreams and nightmares or Sharon crying or people laying around a pool. Hillary Duff is a good actress but had almost nothing to work with here. Almost the whole movie comes across as Daniel Farrands totally making up events about nightmares that likely NEVER happened. Chris's review is better than the movie itself in fact THOST is only rewatchable in a "so bad it's good" way.

6 way hardcore title on a pole match
3 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Brian Knobbs was hardcore champion going into this train wreck of a title defense and cut a promo on his unknown opponents saying "it's live and it's Saturday night lets get nasty" his opponents were Adrian Byrd, Dave Burkhead, big Rick Fuller, the dog aka Al Green and former hardcore champion Norman Smiley. to call this main event wrestling is almost wrong it was more violence then wrestling holds or moves. all six guys hit each other with trash cans and trash can lids along with kendo sticks, chairs and even one use of a fire extinguisher from Knobbs. at he end of the match things were wild as ever Fuller and Byrd battled outside of the ring while Norman and Brian battled inside it. after a low blow to smiley Knobbs was able to climb the pole and grab the belt thus retaining his hardcore title in a bloodless yet extreme brawl. seconds after the match ended one could look at Adrian Byrd's face and see the effort he put in

several tag team matches were featured in this episode
17 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The team of Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie look strange together personalities being a lot different but they work well off each others move set. the four team tag match was a wild brawl that should have been booked to go a few more minutes, Jordynne Grace vs Kimber Lee was an intense match for the five minutes it was given at one point Kimber Lee bite one of Jordynne's fingers to escape a waist lock and it must have reminded fans of Lee's time working matches in czw. despite several high roundhouse kicks to her head and being caught in a surfboard hold Grace eventually got the win after delivering a grace driver. the main event was Sami Calihan vs walking weapon Josh Alexander in a back and forth battle Alexander and Calihan proved they can not have a bad match against each other, add all ego Ethan Page and Ken Shamrock in to the mix for some interference spots and we close the episode with a good build up to the north vs Calihan and Shamrock for the tag team titles at slammiversary

more build to slammiversary
16 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The episode did a decent job of hyping up slammiversary most matches were ok to good. Crazy Steve vs moose is a typical big man vs smaller man match that moose won by his spear still steve did have his moments of offense lots of high flying. post match Tommy Dreamer was beaten down by moose a boot to the head and five punches. back from commercial and Tommy is slightly bloody then cuts a good promo on moose saying he is a waste of talent with no hart for professional wrestling. Kiera hogan vs Jessicka havok should have gone longer then five minutes but ends in a screw job after Tasha Steelz causes Havok to get hit with her own mask for a pin. Trey Miguel vs madman Fulton had trey starting out fast then madman beating him down with power moves before Trey eventually got disqualified after hitting Fulton with a stick brought to ringside by Ace Austin. Trey Miguel then rolls out of the ring and hits austin once in the ribs with a chair then five chair shots for madman Fulton's back as the show ends. i see lots of potential in madman Fulton a big man who can move, Trey Miguel has always been good in the ring weather he was working matches for impact wrestling, iwa mid south or combat zone wrestling i look forward too his main event world title match

could have been a better main event but had some okay spots
31 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Andy Ruiz rematching Anthony Joshua was a much hyped fight considering Andy knocked Anthony down several times and then out the first time and late notice for Ruiz as well. the second match did not turn out as most casual fans or even long time fans thought it would. what we saw different is Joshua fighting a more technical style over 12 rounds and clinching anytime Ruiz would try and brawl. yes it was slow and "boring" but Andy in his post match interview did say he wanted a 3rd match with Anthony and that he would be in better shape for it. Ruiz did admit he trained wrong and his weighing 284lbs made his mistakes obvious

for a first video release a decent effort by XPW
8 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Most matches are shown in highlight style but still watchable. the best matches were big Dick Dudley vs "the real deal" Damien Steel in a steel cage match for the XPW world heavyweight title. the match was a fun brawl despite the screw job ending caused by Kristi mist turning on BDD, Damien retains his title with a neck breaker. Supreme vs Homeless Jimmy was a good display of hardcore wrestling by both men

slow main event boxing with a better undercard
24 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The match between two 122 pounders was match of the night and in fact set a record for most punches thrown in that weight class in several years. our main event for one of the main heavyweight boxing titles was talked up a lot and did have a ko ending. problem with Wilder vs Ortiz match is both of them threw hardly any punches during 3 minute rounds. when punches did land Luis Ortiz seemed to be landing the harder attacks. to his credit Deontay did open a cut due to an accidental headbutt causing his opponent. to bleed. in the end Wilder lands a short right hook to win by tko

great impact ppv highlighted by the knockouts title match
6 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Overall this impact event had good to great wrestling matches. the four way women's match for the knockouts title was a wild brawl in fact even the odd women out Taya Valkyrie showed off her hardcore side by staple gunning Su Yung several times then slamming herself and Rosemary thru a table at ringside. lastly as Jessica Havok and Su Yung were brawling which Jessica got the better of after a tombstone pile driver from the second rope into thumbtacks. Taya broke up the pin at 2 by out of nowhere throwing a metal chair at Jessica's face\head then covering Su for the 3 count while she was still dazed from the thumbtacks thus Valkyrie retains her title in a hard fought match by all four women that lasted 11:45

lots of overhyped bs for two semi famous youtubers
7 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The entrances for Logan Paul and Ksi provided much more excitement then their actual boxing match. the match was a draw an and overall it was not a great match only watchable. Logan did look like the better boxer but this boxing only fight would have been much better for the crowd at home and online if they had fought bare knuckle and without head gear. if their is a rematch it should be bare knuckle boxing set up by one of the bareknuckle boxing federations. undercard matches for ksi vs Paul were better then our overhyped main event

Hardcore violence and history in the making. one of the first ever all female deathmatch tournaments
16 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Death match wrestling is unlike technical and scientific wrestling and usually male dominated. it is refreshing that dm legends Mad man Pondo and Nate Webb created the tournament. some of the top female wrestlers are invited to this and interviewed before and after their matches. Randy West and Sag Sinn are only two of the competitors who spoke passionately about why they loved death matches. from bull ropes to staple guns even thumbtacks these women take every match to the extreme. as you may already know almost everyone gets color in their matches

undercard fights were better then the main event
15 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The light heavyweight match of Badou Jack vs Marcus Browne was fun to watch. both a one sided fight and a very bloody one due to an accidental headbutt which caused Jack to bleed from the forhead plenty of times. Nordine Oubaali looked good in his match in fact becoming one of the first French boxers to win a major title in America for about the last ten years. our main event boxing match of Adrien Broner vs Manny Pacquio saw ab walk out to some low rate rap or hip hop artist singing him to the ring tons of flash. Manny walked out with a calm demeanor and totally took Broner apart in a technical style. since Adrien did little more then run and occasionally land punches he did look VERY bad as in 8 punches or less per round bad. post match interviews were total contrast where as Manny thanked his fans and said he would rematch Floyd Mayweather if the people wanted it. Adrien had the nerve to claim he won the match even accusing judges of rigging this in hopes of getting manny vs Floyd part 2. ultimately Broner sounded delusional and also threatened to beat down interviewer Jim Gray

the return of John Zandig highlights this event
3 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The footage shown at the start of COD 10 was very well done. as John narrates 10 years of czw shows talking about the passion past and present czw stars have for the sport. thru all the blood barbwire pain and tables he questions what it is all about is it about money as zandig answers his own question he announces he is putting up 10,000$ but to get it the other wrestlers have to get thru him. to our actual main event match it was brutal and bloody to say the least

a look at a man slowly losing his grip on reality
23 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Our lead character seems bored with almost everything and some times will talk to his wife about random things like a cat. from the first second the character "he" hums or talks it is clear his wife really hates him even to the point of complaining over him not being able to give her a child. the first 20 minutes are painfully slow as we see our lead character showering, eating breakfast and reading mail. side characters such as a women talking to he seem to be doing something to change his life but viewers never much find out what this change is. with random women giving advice and he going thru hallucinations it appears he had enough of the wife yelling and ended up killing her. yet in the last scene we see a therapist who ask if he and the wife will get back together then fade to closing credits as he laughs

my first taste of MLW wrestling did not dissapoint
28 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Teddy Hart vs John Hennigan did not get overhyped. that match was mostly technical Mat wrestling with some high flying. the crowd was split on who to pop for and chanted both guys name at different points. Hart impressed the crowd late in this match by hitting a Canadian destroyer pile driver for two then as Henningan rolled to the floor for a breather Teddy would have none of it and moonsaulted from the ring apron to the floor crashing in to his opponent. back in the ring john wins at about 14 minutes after countering top rope sunset flip

bad main event but the other fights are good
20 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Main event fight was hyped up due to it being between two former pro football players. once their match started it became obvious neither guy trained much in martial arts other then limited boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu sessions. Westbrook to his credit did win by rear naked choke. another heavyweight fight was Dan Bobish vs Warpath. a short fight that was won by Dan after his ground and pound attack.

a reporter talks with the writer and director of Birdemic
10 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
First off Birdemic is called by most people who have seen it one of worst or out right the WORST horror movie they have seen. at the same time Birdemic got standing ovations and mainstream press because everyone was laughing at the film. even lead actress Whitney Moore said she only worked the film to gain acting experience and during shooting knew the movie was not going to be good. being a self proclaimed Alfred Hitchcock fan James Nguyen was very passionate about his two Birdemic films even going so far as saying he wants to make a 3rd installment. interviews do paint Nguyen as a delusional man and also a passionate one

the movie is wrong in so many ways about true crime
4 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was factually inaccurate about killings that were happening in Juarez Mexico at the time. along with the history being wrong another bad point is the first fight scene. our lead guy throws a punch at random gang member in a bar said strike totally misses yet still gets sold as if it made impact with a comment like "SOB you broke my nose" all while being bloodless action and the gang attacking one at a time each fight last seconds. those negatives said working a fight scene is not easy and these actors may have had a limited time frame to rehearse

lots of extreme hardcore matches mixed with technical wrestling
26 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Dysfunction vs Freakshow offered a variety of weapons used by both wrestlers in a match that lasted over 13 minutes and as is usually the case in his matches it did not take long for freakshow to start bleeding. mixed in with chairs vcrs tables and even a toilet seat you do see some basic but well executed wrestling moves such as irish whips into a corner backdrops European uppercuts side slams splashes and even a super kick from Dysfunction for the three count. in his post match promo a bloody Freakshow did give Dysfunction credit for being a tough opponent. in his maybe only ever iwa deep south match Jeff Jarrett showed of his usual mix of good technical wrestling combined with brawling

part of a heavyweight tournament
20 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Round 1 started out fast from both fighters all punches to the head lots of right and left hooks. round two was a slower but technical battle that commentators had Tony Thompson winning. Jeremy must have agreed since he landed a jumping headbutt in the last seconds of the round and had a point taken away. the third and last round was a repeat of what had been happening most of the fight which is Thompson easily out boxing his opponent. commentators and judges gave the win to Tony by unanimous decision

overhyped kickboxing with takedowns
8 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
As has been the case since Dana hype has been part of the ufc 2002 to now. this event was insanely talked up by Joe Rogan he had been speaking of this EPIC GRUDGE MATCH between Dillashaw and Garbrant. in a battle of 135 pounders the match at least had a finish. but again it was stand up punches to the face and head with occasional knees to the midsection thrown in yes someone won by knockout. but if the athletic Commissions force most martial arts fights to look like boxing fights how impressive is a win by ko really. out of 12 matches only one was finished by submission hold that match being Renato carneiro vs cub swanson a rear naked choke ended things. if you are more a fan of submission moves this card was not for you as the majority of these twelve matches went to a judges decision. fans of the original NO HOLDS BARRED ufc in the 1990's would for the most part hate this show because of all the early referee stand ups and early ref stoppages . weather fights end by submission move or strikes as a martial artist and a fighter that person should want to end a fight themselves rather then let boxing judges decide who they THINK won. due to four fights having a finish this event was not horrible but not great either. congratulations to the eight fighters who actually were trying to win their matches.

some of the better in ring skill happened at this event
27 July 2018
Warning: Spoilers
In a match that went about 15 minutes Pentagon JR and Rich Swan displayed a lot of high flying moves in the ring and over the top rope. pentagon got the clean three count after a muscle buster slam. as Pentagon and swan showed each other respect the admiration was broken up by OVE members Dave and Jake crist attacking pentagon alone for the most part until swan momentarily made the save and was beaten down again. Fenix appeared to make the save but started attacking Pentagon and we find out it is really Sami Callihan who was dressed like Fenix. Fallah Bahh vs killer cross was a total squash match for cross who no sold nearly every move Bahh had and even yelled and smiled while being chopped. the finish comes after cross delivers his sleeper hold finisher and even applies the sleeper to km who tried stopping a post match attack. Pete Williams then ran down with a chair hitting Kross in the back twice but it had no effect on kross who only turned around and looked at Pete. Williams did have slight momentum after ducking a charging kross and throwing the chair into kross for slightly more effect due to the big man falling out of the ring. Su Young and the undead maid of honor vs Allie and Madison Rayne was not a great match by the four but a watchable one. Allie and Su Young hit each other several times with good four arm strikes another high point was Sue and her partner delivering a double team slam and neck breaker to Allie. after being tagged in Madison got the win for her team by hitting a cross Rhodes on undead maid of honor

Warning: Spoilers
Fans this night watched several up and coming boxers and maybe the most shocking knockout of the year. John Ruiz faced David Tua as the fight began it became clear Tua was a man of great physical power his first or second punch sent Ruiz into a corner and dazed him. after a series of right and left hooks landed to John's head he was knocked down and our referee seeing the damage done waves the match off in a mere 19 seconds. commentators on the replay were surprised to see David land a right hook as John was already falling to the canvas. this lose would soon after force Ruiz to change his fighting style
