Sleepy Hollow: Tempus Fugit (2015)
Nicole Beharie's ATROCIOUS acting combined with poor writting
I love Nicole Beharie, but in a few of these, she lacks and becomes INCREDIBLY annoying. Sometimes in her talking, she becomes SO nasally.
In this episode, they wrote the character of Abbie WAY, too strong - too strong willed for when in time this takes place. The writers should have been better about writing her part. As a woman of color, I can say this with most assurance - a woman of color would have been more careful in speaking to Caucasian men. As well-educated as the character of Abbie is, she would have known how important it would be to the mission of her being there and not being so ... herself, her way-too-opinionated-for-colonial-times self.
Bones: The Diamond in the Rough (2013)
Whiney, B**chy Angela
These episodes where Angela regrets her path in life are just exhausting. She goes from whiney/needy to a b*tch in just seconds when talking to people. Those are the only parts of the writing of this show that I truly hate. There are only extremes in the characters' feelings. No middle ground, no grace and compasssion for others. Just a very selfish b*tchy attitude when life doesn't go their way. Just wish they'd written characters with more depth and compassion, which would add to the complexity of the characters. As they are written now, they are very shallow people.
Bones: The Past in the Present (2012)
Airhead Dr. B????
I hate the way Dr. Brennen was written in this episode. She came off looking like a moron. So many times you just want to yell at her or strangle her. The episode was SUPER SUPER frustrating. Made you want to throw things at Dr. B for being clueless or just acting as if nothing was wrong. So stupid! Could have been written SO much better!!!
Bones: The Family in the Feud (2012)
Bones I just a b**** in this episode
I LOVE this show, don't get me wrong. BUT, sometimes they write the characters as such shallow b's and a**holes. Brennan is no exception in this one! She's such a b**** in dealing with her dad! I usually skip this one every rerun because it is so poorly written for Brennen's character. That's such a shame because there are some other stars that just shine in this, but they really ruined Brennen's like-ability in this one.
NCIS: New Orleans: Knockout (2017)
Bad guys are really good at being bad
Sharon Conley is great at being bad. Everything I saw in this episode made me hate her character that much more. She always plays these type of bad guys - the ease type to hate. It's also really easy to hate Steven Weber's character. And the Stone character, especially after Stone shoots an innocent bystander, he's easy to hate too. But sadly, this episode reveals the TRUTH of politics. Having worked in politics for several decades, it actually does work this way. Very scary for the public. Glad to see the corruption exposed.
