Unwatchable

I was surprised, and yes I looked it up, that this was written by a woman and not an adolescent man child who has never worked in a real job with an HR. It wasn't the least bit realistic, and what they would ask you to believe... don't waste your time.

Another One Season Show Leaving You Wanting More.
15 November 2014
This was a very enjoyable show with a great cast of actors & actresses that I love in other things as well. I know we are not lacking for cop shows out there, but this one had its own thing going on. It seemed like every character was very much a unique character with baggage and quirks on the plenty. We had the rich girl, bubble boy, cancer guy, goody good... Someone from every realm. It seems very weird but it complimented the same old cops and bad guy routine nicely. I even liked the random dispatcher with the strange announcements. I am sad to see this didn't have more episodes but it was still worth watching what I did. On a positive note the show did not end with a huge cliffhanger, so I was not to upset with not knowing what was going to happen. It also didn't really have a series or season closure either... Just kind of ran out of episodes.

This was NOT good
11 November 2014
I like rom-coms. I know the stories don't change much, I really don't expect them to. Rom-coms require two parts, romantic and comedy. As far as romance, the chemistry between these two has been diluted; I just don't buy it anymore. It was a sweet enough idea with two single parents finding each other, making a Brady's Bunch. Really though? The comedy part... What was with EVERYONE calling Sandler's kid a boy?? She did not look anything like a boy and no one would have been making that mistake, least not everyone. The acceptance of the children and even the acceptance of the parents to parent the other's kids was unbelievable. The worst of it was cheap humor and one-liners; it was all poorly executed. This story could have been good; it had enough of an original idea to take us through the timeless tale, too bad it fell incredibly short.

I knew nothing about horse racing!
20 October 2014
Right from the start I was inundated with lingo and betting techniques, horse owners, trainers, claiming, buying ... WOW. The acting is so good and I appreciate that although I am probably like the majority of viewers, who know nothing about horse racing, they do not treat the us like idiots. I am learning as I go, picking up a little more of the subtleties as the season progresses. It's an entertaining show without a doubt; even if you are new to the racket.

In short, I recommend this show to anyone who like sports, mob/crime or just really enjoy when bog names like Dustin Hoffman grace the little screen. On that note, this show is jam packed of well known actors from the big and small screen... give it a couple episodes!

Real Problems, Real Emotions,
20 October 2014
This is movie is funny. It's tragic. It's sad. It's life. It's really everything. What it is not is an escape from reality. Either through personal experience or at the very least someone close, we have all been there. It deals with life and death. Love and relationships. The writers, directors and actors came together to make an amazing film about living. Not an easy thing to capture... They did it. Why didn't I give it a "10"? This is a movie everyone should watch.. but not again and again. Also, it was hard to buy all of the "kids" as siblings at times. this film wasn't perfect, I just don't know how anyone could have done it better.

Two for one is just one more of the first one.

Watching this movie was like watching two incredibly average films at the same time. The story was predictable while the filming and editing was original but annoying. The chemistry worked but still a bit awkward. It wasn't the worst film ever but I could have found something better to do with my evening, I recommend skipping this one as I actually stopped the film at one point to decide if I should go on... If I wasn't twenty minutes out I would have jumped ship, instead I saw what was the only likely ending, as predictable as the credits themselves. So in the end, find something that does not try so hard with artistic camera work and instead makes us love the characters and the story which I found both lacking.

Vince Vaughn Funny
21 June 2006
Great movie. Funny in the way we like Vince Vaughn to be. Be warned although a good date movie maybe not the best relationship date movie; hits a little too close to home! Since when did Hollywood go all real life? I left the theater with my wife feeling a little guilty about all the things us guys do and needless to say these similarities did not go unnoticed by my wife as she brought up a few up on the ride home. I countered with the more funny parts and made it through. Jennifer was looking good and played her role well. The laughs keep coming though the entire movie. All in all a movie worth watching, no loss in waiting for the DVD unless your looking for a 1st date movie!
