Freedia Got a Gun (2020)
Freedia is Forgotten
Another bad liberal policy movie, one of many that always leave me smh - if Congress and the President cannot lower gun violence, how can one person with a voice stop it? A look into the seamy side of New Orleans and about what you would expect. How does one combat gun violence? There are literally millions of guns on the streets and in American homes. It is a futile impossibility and logistically impossible. An old fable with a new face. Next.
Iron Brothers (2018)
Had Potential
I agree with low budget. Costumes were bad, very bad. I've seen worse Westerns. Good outdoor shots. This could have been a contender, given the chance. Not a horrible Saturday night.
Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash (2020)
Artimus Home Movies
The other guys in the band (Gary) sued to stop movie, claim Artimus did not have rights to their own stories. The movie is bad. He wasn't even allowed to use Skynyrd music in the movie. That was weird. Bad actors, bad sets, bad wigs, bad information. I have heard 3 versions of Artie's story about coming face to face with a water moccasin in the swamp, and I had not heard the movie version. Funny how those things grow. If you are a Lynyrd Skynyrd fan, you will be disappointed. How do you make a movie about Lynyrd Skynyrd and not show one of their classic performances of Freebird? That Artimus, he can tell a story now.
Jasper, Texas (2003)
Great Movie!
This is one to watch again. Jon Voight carries this film with his offbeat character and does not disappoint. A tragic tale that exposes what all know is already there. Racism. I have never written a review before but I was compelled by this movie to create an account just to have a say. Could have been more focused on the victim and his story. Good job on the atmosphere in this. Gritty Texas with all the warts and open sores.
