Byeonshin (2019)
Asian Horror adapting the common Exorcism movie
I love Asian horror movies. It's surprising how this movie focuses on exorcism which I am not used to. Korean horror movies are often about ghosts or psychological horror. Culturally, it is not common for Koreans to be religious (Catholics) but the beliefs of spirits and how they can manifest based on cultural beliefs which, happens to be a unique trait for Asian's horror movies.
There were some creepy parts that I like so I am not ditching this out.
Zumbo's Just Desserts (2016)
Annoying Gigi and Unfair Food Ratings
I thought I'm the only person to find Gigi annoying. I laughed so hard that others have same opinion.
The assistant, instead of making the contestants feel good, she intimidates them and criticizes as if she's so perfect with what she does. I admire chefs but girl, that doesn't mean you're perfect. You certainly know techniques but to make others feel like they should go home is unprofessional.
Season 1 was good. I only saw the inconsistencies when Brogen made it when she's not mostly nailing flavors.
Moving forward to season 2, I almost finish the show. They were being so unfair in rating and it was obvious that they already chose Catherine to be the winner. Catherine- who was never so special in creating desserts. The young woman with an annoying little voice.
Sucker Punch (2011)
Just another exaggerated"Psychological" film
Might not be baffling but entertaining enough. I felt like watching a live action anime which is my positive take on this movie.
Does Baby feel like she's a hero? Probably. However, Bowling's acting is not convincing enough and wasn't able to convey her emotions to the audience effectively. The resting face is no use for this film.
Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2017)
Terrible Zoe
Honestly, I like Max being the zombie but the plot is annoying. Zoe has to be blamed and I am not sorry for her character
Brahms: The Boy II (2020)
Not as satisfying as the predecessor
A little spoiler ahead to get ready.
I was expecting the appearance of the man who was manipulating the doll in the prequel. This movie was not originally paranormal. This was not supposed to be the same as Anabell the Doll but that's how it was seemed to be on the sequel.
It's disappointing how the same writer and director moved away from the original concept of the movie. Brahms was psychotic and the doll wasn't possessed at all. But I don't know the goal of this sequel. Just terrible.
