An Easter Bloom (2024)
Boring!
It took a herculean effort for me to get to the 55 minute mark. I've always found Aimee Teegarden's performances to be a hit or miss.
In being enjoyable. Right off the bat her younger self at about 12 years old (by another child actress) is shown. Then it flashes forward 15 years to the present day. Aimee looks closer to 40 years old, than the 27 year- old her character was supposed to be.
The love story was blah. I have to say I think the last two months of new Hallmark movies have been sub-par!
I wonder if this has anything to do with a bunch of Hallmark actors and actresses jumping ship for GAF?
The Professional Bridesmaid (2023)
UGH!
I couldn't get past the 20 minute mark! I think this was the worst lead actress that Hallmark Movies has ever cast. I remember a similar movie from the past by Hallmark that I could actually finish watching. Story, acting, and script seemed way subpar. Been there-seen this.
Been there, seen this.
Been there, seen this. Is the quality of Hallmark Movies sinking further down the quality scale? Or is it just me? I never rated a Hallmark movie lower than a 5 in the past, even when some of the acting was making me cringe!
It seems like every plot has the same characteristics, anymore. I sure miss the high quality of The Hallmark Hall of Fame movies of the past!
Ninety Sunsets (2021)
Overlong
The intentions were good, but this was overlong with many lazy moments of watching the scenery. It is certainly a tearjerker, but the emotions didn't resonate with me. I think the editing was poor, and the secondary characters needed some coaching with their acting. I did like the lead actress and her efforts, so I added 1 star to my rating.
Christmas with Felicity (2021)
Horrible!
All of these 10 star reviews are suspect to me. The lead actress is rude and snotty with everyone, including her parents and sister, and everyone she comes in contact with! I could not stand her and didn't care how she would turn for the better.
Farm to Fork to Love (2021)
Perfect closed captions
This is a so-so rom-com. I am only doing this review to respond to all the reviewers complaining about the closed captioning. I just watched this on tubi and no problems with the CC. This is a standard rom-com with you knowing exactly what's going to happen. The cast was attractive & pleasant.
Divine Will (2017)
Silly
So, so bad! Such silly and amateurish acting, it made me cringe. I had high hopes for the film from the other reviewer, but they were dashed almost immediately.
Farmer Seeking Love (2022)
Beautifully romantic
I love this movie! The two leads have fantastic chemistry, and the secondary characters are very good. Of course you know how this will end, but it was very entertaining getting there! There is no big misunderstanding as in most of these films. That was refreshing. I hope the leads work together again! Jesse Hutch has always been great, but this is the 1st time I've seen Donna Benedicto. She is also fantastic.
Box 13 (1956)
Love Alan Ladd,
But this a creaky, and very dated television pilot. It didn't get picked up and it should have stayed on the radio. I gave it an extra star just for Alan Ladd.
My Best Friend's Christmas (2019)
Amateur acting
Sad, the acting was really bad. The plot is familiar to too many other movies. If the acting was better, I would give a 5/10. Underneath the lead actresses makeup, I think a pretty woman is there!
Changing Seasons (2015)
Bland
I think it is telling that the two leads have no film credits after this 2015 movie. The acting is amateurish at best. The story is forgettable, but the cinematography is beautiful.
Where Are You, Bobby Browning? (2016)
So not funny!
I gave this a try on Vudu because I saw Jen Lilley was in it. She is a minor figure in this very unfunny "comedy-romance". I could only laugh at the comedy scenes because they were so not funny, and poorly acted. I think I am being generous with a 2 star rating.
Beauty in the Broken (2015)
Bri is splendid
I would have given this movie a 5 star rating, but Brianna Cuoco is superb in her role. Her performance is worth another 3 stars to me. She dominated the screen whenever she was on it. I believe her talent is way above her sister's- Kaley Cuoco. This is a romantic comedy w/ some elements of drama thrown in. Brianna should be a star!
Emerson Heights (2020)
Great chemistry!
Call me a sentimental fool, but I really enjoyed this. The two leads are married in real life, and that makes the chemistry between them amazing. There are elements of a lot of Hallmark type movies, but so what? It entertained me. I came across this on You Tube. Check it out!
