Virgin River (2019)
Waiting for Season 4
I was very unhappy with all the cliffhangers at the end of Season 3, but had hope when I saw Season 4 is about to start that there will be answers, but now I find out there will be another season, I wonder if I should just watch the last episode of season 4 & see what has & hasn't been resolved. Wish they hadn't announced the Season 5.
The Time Traveler's Wife (2022)
Liked the movie much better
I was disappointed at the series, was really looking forward to it after seeing the movie years ago. It was too confusing seeing 2 Henry's at a time, and Clere to me lacked any emotion. Glad they are not renewing for a 2nd season.
The Tourist (2022)
Not My Type of Series
This series was a bit too gritty for me, not exactly a good commercial for seeing Australia or New Zealand. I found it difficult to follow, although Jamie Dornan & the Macdonald actors were good. Please don't do a 2nd series, I read that this morning. Enough is enough.
Scenes from a Marriage (2021)
I won't be watching any more episodes
I can't believe a couple with only 1 child, who seems affluent enough would abort their baby. Boring, down right depressing from the very beginning. I only gave it a 4, should have given it less, only that high because I like both lead actors. Won't be watching any more episodes.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
They can't make a movie about every Disney ride
I guess my husband and I are too old for this movie. I normally enjoy Disney movies but I couldn't get into this at all. We actually had to purchase it to see it, but stopped watching less than half way through. I gave it a 2 because I like Emily Blunt, otherwise it would have been a 1.
Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (2021)
Absurd but I couldn't help but watch
I usually don't watch this type of movie but I was bored and thought I would watch it. Yes it was stupid but not crude as this type of movie tends to be. Jamie Dornan was terrific and really great looking in it, particularly his eyes. He has come so far from the Christian Grey role. I look forward to all his roles now, beginning with The Fall and his other serious roles. Kristen was good as well. I just watched The Martian where she provides a bit of humor in her role. Jamie's singing is good as well.
My Dinner with Hervé (2018)
Didn't know what happened to Herve
Great to learn about Herve's life story. I watched Fantasy Island as a young adult. I don't remember the hype around him as I lived in FL not CA at the time. Dornan played a really believable role with real emotion, good to see him in decent movies acting in better roles than Fifty Shades. I know those movies were financially good for him & allowed him to get decent roles now. He is a good actor & I have now seen several of his movies.
Wild Mountain Thyme (2020)
Liked it better with 2nd view
I really like Emily Blunt's movies & The Fall & Anthropod of Jamie Dornan. He looked more comfortable in this movie. The movie as a whole was cute but a bit unusual. I am glad to see Dornan in some roles that are NOT Fifty Shades. I didn't care for those movies as a whole & he just looked uncomfortable. I was embarrassed for him. I hope his wife didn't see them. Her score in this movie was good.
To the Wonder (2012)
Hard to understand the wonder
Boring, not romantic at all, a movie you continue to watch to see how it ends. That was not explained either, as in the movie which would switch from one plot to another. I was confused.
Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)
COVID Lockdown Made Me Read Books & Watch Movie
I had seen all the hype around the book & movie when it came out & decided it wasn't for me. Then the lockdown came & I was bored, saw the trilogy of books offered on my eReader. I read them, then streamed all 3 movies unrated. I still didn't know what I thought about them, other than Dornan never smiled & there was no warmth whatsoever between the 2 actors in any of the 3 movies. I then read user reviews & agreed with the negative comments. Dornan is a good actor but the script must have been terrible. I have decided not to see either movie again. I have watched a couple of Nicholas Sparks movies since & got more passion from them!
Fifty Shades Freed (2018)
COVID Lockdown made me read & see movies
I just finished reading all 3 books & streaming all 3 movies, unrated. I didn't have any desire to read or watch when they first came out. I got bored during lockdown & read the books because I had seen part of a televised version with commercials & decided I would read the books on my Reader. I then streamed the movies, unrated. I thought Dornan looked uncomfortable & Dakota played her part well. I have since seen The Fall & Anthropoid & really like Dornan. I remember seeing & liking him in Once Upon aTime. I then read the User Reviews & I now agree with all of the negative comments. I am a senior citizen & have been married 50 years. I liked the story at first but the movies were lacking & acting/dialogue terrible.
The Right Stuff: Flight (2020)
Hope they renew for next season
Story getting better with each new episode, would like to see more seasons.
The Crown (2016)
Hard to like older Royals
I am old enough to remember the Princess Diana period, am same age as Prince Charles. Well acted series but easy to see what a miserable life they all had, privileged or not. I really feel sorry for that poor young girl who got wrapped up in it. I believed then as I do now, Charles was a coward for not standing up to his Mother!
The Right Stuff: Vostok (2020)
Another Good Episode
Glad to see episodes getting better and events happening that actually happened for the most part. Hope they renew Series for more seasons now that we know the actors playing the astronauts we know.
The Right Stuff: The Kona Kai Séance (2020)
Best Episode Yet
We got to see & learn about all astronauts, not just the 2 favorites. Good episode.
The Right Stuff: Advent (2020)
It's The Mercury 3
I will watch final 4 episodes & hope there's more about All the astronauts. Just watched episode 4. it was all about infidelity of 2 of astronauts & an adoption. Met Vonbraun, that was it on technology side. Only saw 4 other astronauts at New Years party. I am afraid we won't see a Season 2.
The Right Stuff (2020)
It's not the movie!
I have lived long enough to remember all of the Mercury + events, so for younger generations this may be boring. I like the series and actors so far but would like to see more of Shirra who flew in Mercury, Gemini & Apollo as well. Would also like to see other astronauts more than just Shepard, Glenn & Cooper. After all this is supposed to be about all of the Mercury Astronauts!
