Troglodyte (2008)
Seen it all before
This is a decent enough film but it's all been done before.
Acting is pretty decent and the script is ok.
CGI creatures with no real explanation of what or where they came from.
The usual nest is found and blow the crap out off it.
No one thinks to call for outside help.
The title is misleading as I thought it was going to be set at sea but no, pretty much all on land.
Think predator, down to the creatures being almost invisible with a haze around them and the blurred camera work when we are the creature looking at the cast. Ending is pure cringe, practically scoot doo, boyfriend and crew members dead but let's set sail on a fishing boat with next to no crew and no experience, all done with the biggest smiles possible. More cheese than a dairy.
The Coroner (2015)
More ham than a funeral tea
Dreadful acting from all the cast.
Characters are dull and two dimensional.
How did it get two series? Now there is the real mystery.
Avoid like death.
Call Me by Your Name (2017)
Beyond beautiful
This film left me in tears.
It's raw emotion, played beautifully by both lead actors.
My heart moved beyond repair.
I don't think I can watch it twice, the first time I saw it I was affected for days.
Pining for a past long gone, for loves and lovers no longer part of who I am.
The filming, the chemistry, the script, everything. Perfect
Rosemary & Thyme (2003)
More ham than a funeral tea
The plots are dire, always know who's done it before the first ad break.
The characters are as weak as church tea and Kendal is so hammy that if she sat in the sun too long her skin would turn to pork scratchings.
The reveal and capture of said murderer is like something out of a 1950's kids comic.
I regularly lough out loud at how bad this tv series is.
Pam Ferris is always a delight to watch but sadly she can't save this garden of fodder ,the actor?who plays her son grabs the prize for being the worst in the whole series, a fantastic achievement as there have been many worthy of that title
