The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)
Will Smith At His Best
Such a heart warming story about a father and son, and about making something of yourself.
This story is really inspiring. You can have all the odds stacked against you and with hard work you can overcome and achieve your goals.
It was really cool to see Will Smith's son work alongside his father and I think it helped to make the story even more compelling.
Definitely a must watch.
The Gallows (2015)
Better Than Most Found Footage Movies
I appreciate the original concept in that high school students are stalked by a ghost when they break into their high school.
This is a nice change from the supernatural movies that are mostly about possession, which this not.
The acting was natural enough and didn't seemed forced which apparently is hard to achieve in found footage movies for some reason.
Worth an at home viewing.
Witnesses (2019)
Solid Small Budget Thriller
This movie has a great premise in that four kids witness a cartel murder and try to escape being killed themselves.
The story was well crafted and held my interest. The dialogue was natural, entertaining and not full of fluff for the sake of dialogue. Each character has their own personality and it shows. We get to know them well and are invested in their escape.
I do wish they made it to the warehouse earlier in the movie, and we got to explore more inside cartel building to see what other scares were lurking around.
Overall good small budget thriller thats worth the watch.
Don't Breathe (2016)
The Tension Keeps Building Until The Very End
This is a very intense thriller that builds in tension from beginning to end.
The opening scene grabs your attention and has you intrigued, and the movie definitely delivers throughout, but especially with its surprising twist.
Highly recommended and worth the watch.
The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
An Absolute Masterpiece In Cinema
I'm sure in the 6,825 reviews there are currently for The Shawshank Redemption, anything that I was planning on saying would have already been said and more eloquently than I would.
If you haven't seen this film, just watch it and thank everybody later. It has a rating of 9+ for a reason.
