All in all, The Fall is an excellent series and I recommend. it. My one minor issue, however , was the odd decision to have Gillian Anderson continually used a low whisperly (at times, raspy mumbling) voice that seemed more in keeping with someone with a chronic lung condition rather than with a hard driving, in-charge style detective supervisor.

Perhaps I'm too used to watching great movies and tv series on Britbox and Acorn (where the actors and writers know their craft), to appreciate this LA situated black comedy. The acting was so wooden that I finally decided Ihat all the bad acting and inane dialogue were the promised "comedy." Instead of competent acting, situations and comic characters, the movie's comedy simply depended on throwing out great gobs of gratuitous profanity at the viewer. While there are so many really terrific shows on Netflix (Money Heist, for one) please don't waste one precious moment on this dreck.
