Good story, but ....
19 January 2024
Story and screenplay is good. Could have been a better show if it wasn't for the protagonist. Everyone acted well, except him. The Arjun guy almost never have a normal expression on his face. Always sort of a smirk as if he is a very wise guy (just look at his forehead and jaw), almost like a wannabe SRK. Truthfully told, none of his wins/actions/triumph were his cleverness but sheer luck and his st*pid decisions. What's up with that taking off clothes with no logic?

The story tried to show him as a very serious guy, talks less and principled, but he actually talks a lot unnecessarily and immoral/unjust. His dialogues are awful too. He actually harmed and k*lled everyone around him for no reason. His father, friend, girlfriend, wife, boss, colleague, everyone. Did he do all of these entire episodes just to snag friend's wife??

The show could have been a 9* if they worked more on the protagonist character and hired someone else to act.

And by the way, very odd ending !

The Cleaning Lady (2022– )

Good show, but a selfish cleaning lady
13 January 2024
The show is good and engaging. Nice plot and good acting. But they tried to portray the protagonist as a hero, actually she is a selfish, self-centred and self-obsessed liar who has no regard for others, laws or consequences. It seems her reasoning only evolves around her son and what she is getting out of others. Other people suffers, sacrifices and dies because of her, yet she doesn't care about anyone or anything, and continuously making nonsensical decisions. Understandable that she would do anything to save her son, but not to this extent and become a criminal or act like one. There are many simple and normal avenues she could have chosen in those scenarios but she always chose the selfish one and that fits her needs. Interestingly if you just remove her from the equation of all the episodes and events, there won't be any tragedies, deaths or complexity. So she actually instigated all the tragic situations and responsible for them in a way. In every scenario, her first choice is crime with lies.

The other notable cringe-worthy mention is the villain Kamdar. As Trevor Noah joked about this, an Indian guy cannot be a serious hero or villain in serious movies. This guy's role, dialogues, acting and portrayal - everything was just odd and awful.

Do not watch
18 December 2023
What a waste of 2 hours of my life! Please save yourself some time and skip this movie. Not much of a story, crime or any mystery. The story development and the connections shown are very odd and off. There is no center of the story and the ending is very flat for a mystery movie. Writers must have had covid or were drunk when they were writing this story. Even the protagonists progression in the story or behaviour was very odd and not connected to the main story.

Main story could have been developed much better than how they tried to portray in the last half of the movie. Developing the suspense took very long that the ending was very abrupt, if there is any suspense at all. This movie could have been made better with quality crews.

Beautifully done in Bangladeshi context
25 August 2023
The series was good. There were some minor flaws, but they can be easily overlooked. Overall it is an interesting series. Quite different from the traditional drama-serials of Bangladesh, there is quite a novelty. Atleast this series is much better than most of the st*pid dramas made nowadays by the younger generation, which are complete waste of time and a shame in the name of entertainment. Kudos to the team who created this series.

Acting was good. Mehazabien Chowdhury has done a wonderful performance. The flow of the series has been perfect, keeping the audience engrossed throughout the show. More dramas and series like this one is expected from the content creators, the quality of movies and dramas in Bangladesh need to improve. How many more of those abusive-language-nonsense-dramas can we tolerate?

Good but ....
11 August 2023
Overall a good show, but there are countless errors and mistakes in this show. Characters are constantly making wrong decisions. Too many to list here. The biggest one is why didn't the hijackers kill, hit or made silent Idris Alba's character? He was deliberately obstructing them in multiple occasions, yet they didn't do anything to him. They noticed that he was doing all sort of manipulations, hindering their work, yet they were taking his stupid suggestions when they had better alternatives. Finally he decides to attack him at the end? For what?

I mean, the story writer was drunk or what? All the characters were making stupid decisions throughout the show. How can such a logical show can illustrate so many illogical decisions by it's characters?

Not the actor Idris, but the character in the show was so irritating to be honest. Oddly there were so many eccentric and irrelevant scenes and decisions made by the characters that I stopped counting after 3rd episode. Could have been a better show if the writers paid more attention.

Informative
6 August 2023
The documentary is very informative and the investigative journalist has done a good job digging in the right direction. However, no directions were provided as to who the real culprit is. A much hyped even this was, the outcome seemed like very lacklustre and ignorant by the authority, the private investigating team and the family.

If you watch any investigative show from the USA, even a careless investigation episode would have a better outcome than this case. The investigation details seems like a joke. From the details of the case, it further seemed like some important people in the case and/or some of the authorities may be involved or informed in these murders and tried to cover up.

Regardless, this was a sad event. Shermans should have installed proper security in their property. Since this is a relatively recent event, many homes and street cameras in the neighbourhood could have helped the case to solve.

And lastly, this show could have easily be shown in 2 episodes. Not sure why it was dragged to 4 episodes.

Face palm after watching ...
19 June 2023
Such a cliche of a movie.

The movie is full of errors. If I start writing all of those, it won't end. One of the major errors was the breaking fast in the desert in the middle of the night. Muslims break fast at the sunset. Just before that when the chopper attacked them, they could not see anything because it was so dark. But then they started speaking later there was so much lights.

Such a high budget movie but not enough researched about military, locals, the region or their plotholes. They tried to cramp into so many small stories and details that the main message/story is lost. What a waste!

Good but not best
25 May 2023
The movie is good but not quite as expected. Some scenes are done with very rushing and even dialogues are hasty on those scenes. Whereas some scenes are very slow. Some important scenes were rushed but some insignificant scenes were made lengthy.

The movie shows how aggressive, impulsive and backward indian people are. Their emotions have priority over practicality. Many times their red tapes and politics are more important than their reasonability.

Most importantly, India didn't really build or create a rocket from the scratch. All they did was stole or acquired ideas, theories and technologies. They did not invent anything but took help or defrauded from other nations like, USA, Russia, Scotland, France, etc. So what's the point of this movie? Where is their pride coming from?

Good but went downhill
19 May 2023
Very good show and promising movie. Started really well, very interesting with good thriller. Good story and script too.

But the movie started to add unusual, unnecessary and unrelated stuff in the main story for no reason and the story started to get complex stupidly. The angle of the perpetrator was very promising and interesting until half way throughout the movie like an A grade movie, but the last part of the movie felt like a C grade movie. The villain at the felt like a joker, with no apparent reason to why he did what he did. His mother's actions were senseless and stupid too.

Some of the FBI and police relations and decisions were questionable too. It seemed they only engaged slow teams instead of tactical teams even after such a big crime event, just to promote the protagonist !

Could have been a much better show if they made the ending well and not made the story complex with dumb ideas.

The hindu priest needs to stay in jail
19 May 2023
Another indian show showing how useless indian polices are. All these indian crime shows in Netflix and Amazon portrays how incompetent are indian polices.

Shraddhananda is the culprit for this heinous crime there is no doubt. Even his statement with the interviewers has many plotholes and questionable arguments. Every other witness statements, including the maids, contradicts with his version of the story. And of course with some evidences like the wooden box. This criminal hindu priest's lawyer seems to be another hindu sympathizer and his baseless logical arguments made no sense.

Shakereh Khaleeli made some unfortunate decisions in her life and she paid a hefty price for that in life and after death. Her daughter made many silly mistakes as well after suspecting her mother was missing, which was not highlighted in this series. How can she wait 3 years with her mother missing?

I agree with other commenters that there are no real twists in the story and could have been made in under 1 hour video. Why make it slow and lengthy with repetitive info?

Why distort History?
17 May 2023
The show supposed to be promising and portraying the life of the Mughals, specially their tricks, politics and stories. But this show is full of historical errors and some of the events are completely opposite than the reality. Why is this show distorting historical events, or characters? These minor changes are not helping the show either. Not sure if it's against the law to falsify historical information, unless this show is a fiction.

Actors selected are not well fit to the historical persons in this show, specially Jahangir. VFX in this show is awful and some of the graphics are just laughable.

Some of the dialogues are so cringeworthy and horrendous. Mughals did not speak or act in certain ways that this show tried to portray. I guess the show creators made the Mughals look like Indian serial dialogues and acting, similar to Ekta Kapoor serials.

Not that great
26 April 2023
Subject of the movie is very serious and could have been made a better movie. But screenplay and other aspects were not prepared well by the creators of this movie.

Camera was awful, awful! Who hired this camera guy? It was shaking more than earthquakes. The entire movie was very much highlighted to blue. I think the entire movie was shot in a close-up shot, so it was very hard to watch the perspectives of the scenes. Camera was mostly fixed to the protagonist. Horrible camera-work!

Badhon's acting was good at the beginning of the movie but only went downhill as the movie progressed. She could not adjust with the character anymore.

The story also started slipping from the mod-point. Many errors in the story. There are few things shown in this movie which are not ethically correct to show, for example, the child abuse and the rigid character by Badhon. Definitely not a 7+ rating movie.

Good show, but poorly executed
24 April 2023
This is definitely not an 8+ rating show. These days the trend seems to be to rate 10/10 by close people of the movies/show at early opening, enough so that overall rating doesn't go below. This is ill practice.

The show could have been 8+ if the it was written properly and executed well. Good concept and it was gripping first few episodes. Then it became kinda boring and last 2 episodes are completely useless. All the endings also seem pointless and odd.

Female characters of the show Aditi Rao Hydari, Shweta Basu Prasad and Wamiqa Gabbi acted very good. Didn't like acting of Aparshakti Khurana, and he was not suited properly for this role either.

Overall the show is okay, could have made better if they would have put more attention to the story and screenplay rather than just studio sets. There are so many errors in the show, too many to list here.

Good movie
15 March 2023
An excellent movie to watch and follow what's been happening. Very simple and easy to watch. No twists or adding fictions or making a long series out of it or no dilutions or no camera shaking. Just pure and simply made to show what happened, facts !

Amazing acting by Katie Douglas. Great expressions at the right times and beautifully played. Can't believe she is 24 in real life but acted as a 15 year old girl in this movie. She is easily believable as 15 here. Would love to watch more of her work in future.

Don't know why other reviewers are so critical and analyzing technically, and lower ratings. This is just a movie based on true story, and I believe the film makers done well in both parts, abduction and aftermath. You guys easily rate garbage movies so high like the new Black Panther, yet rate low on good movies like this one.

Good movie, but ...
5 March 2023
Overall a good average movie, not something to brag about. Some good messages about families and relationships. However, some messages are contradictory in this movie.

I agree with another reviewer here that this is more like first world problems, family issues for rich people. Some people judge others or consider only present, they forget the past and what were given to them before (specially rich people). The protagonist forgot that even though he may not be given the house, he was brought up like a son and given all the privileges in life by his parents.

Is the lgbtq agenda necessary or relevant in this movie? The movie is about family, relationship, lineage and offspring, so lgbtq here seems to be opposite idea to what this movie is about. This LGBTQ agendas seems to be in every other movies in India now a days.

Not that great !
1 March 2023
What a waste of time !!! There is no real message in the movie, nor anything accomplished through the course of the movie. The ending/resolution of the movie does not provide any satisfying or decisive scenario either. We don't understand what the movie is solely based of, other than a sob story of an attention seeker boy.

Some of the decisions made by the characters were also very hazy or poor. What were the writer and screenplay thinking when they were creating this story? Acting was good, that's about it.

The movie is so slow and uneventful that it was very boring to watch. Completely wasted time watching this !

Aarya (2020– )

Not as expected
27 February 2023
It only went downhill on Season 2 from Season 1. Such stupid decisions by Aarya. The reasons showed for Aarya to change her mind during trial was even more fictional and baseless.

Awful camera work in the series. To show it more in action, they constantly moving the cameras which sometimes are dizzying and hard to watch. Some of the shows started this trend for some years now and this is really annoying. But I think many have stopped doing this lately, but not this show. Hideous camera work.

The show is very slow paced compared to Season 1.

Sushmita Sen's facial features and plastic surgeries are also very unpleasant to watch throughout the show.

Propaganda Movie
23 January 2023
The movie seems to be a propaganda movie for India, with many false information and incorrect portrayal. Not sure how and why Netflix allows such a BS movie without checking the facts or history. Netflix should not have made or financed this movie knowing that the issue in this movie is about the biggest rivalry nations in the world. Of course this movie is made by Indians, so they added imaginary colours to portray them as friendly and the rivals as villain, in reality they are equally evil as the other country. India has unsettled and harmed every other neighbouring country around them in South Asia, for their gain. I can understand the sentiments and rivalries, but why twist the history, facts and illogical & incorrect information in the movie? Some of the dialogues are very cringe-worthy and improper.

Acting, story, script and screenplay are nothing great either. Very bland and flat. Waste of time with this propaganda movie from the Indian side.

Annoying privileged girl, possibly hiding criminal details
31 October 2022
The so called victim girl Michaella McCollum (not the actor) is so annoying. During her entire narration, all she could say is:

  • Like ....
  • I'm like ....
  • I was like ....
  • I felt, like ....
  • I mean, like ...
  • It's kind of, like ....
  • I don't know, like ....
  • Kind of ....
  • .... just kind of ....
  • Sort of ....
  • You know ....

Her each sentence consisted of the above. I think other interviewees spoke better English than her.

All I could understand from this documentary is that Michaella was not really a victim, but rather a wh*te privileged girl, in Ibiza, Peru, prison, by media, people who helped her financially. Even after providing false testimony and lying to the Peruvian court. She could have become an informant and help capturing the drug cartel, but all this self-obsessed girl could think of was about herself ! The story she illustrated was not consistent and may not be true, other interviewees expressed the same. There could be more to the story or she may have been hiding her criminal details, from the court as well as Netflix.

Awful Series !
18 October 2022
What an arrogant, m*ronic, sex-addict, self-obsessed character they portrayed in this series. There are so many plot holes throughout the series and so many illogical decisions made by the protagonist. Most of her decisions seems to have been made with emotions rather than brain. Her face when turned into she hulk, is horrible. Sometimes do not even match vocal with mouth. Ending with Marvel crews, editing final fight and a cringeworthy AI robot was beyond dumb. So many unnecessary and unrelated characters were introduced, such as Mr. Immortal, Cornelius, characters at Abomination therapy session, etc. The whole series felt like a dumb version of a low budget illogical story !!!

Not that great !
3 August 2022
Why do they waste time and money by making movies like these? Everything seemed disjointed - story, dialogues, acting. Acting was not good by even good actors like - Bruce, Olga, John or Michael. Emotions in some scenes were missing, some were out of characters. Sometimes dialogues were out of sync, sometimes not well versed and sometimes felt like they are just reading the script. Olga were in clear line of shots by bad guys many times yet nothing happens to her. Bruce Willis could not even read his dialogues properly. Why do they have to make such mess?

What a garbage movie !
1 August 2022
Pure garbage movie. Could not even portray the AI role properly. Some made up fiction stuff with unnecessary graphics does not make a good movie. Very bad acting and dialogues. No story basically, just typical same old "Indian hero" against "Pakistani terr*rists" just don't cut it anymore. Tried to copy Ironman into a mix of Wolverine/Captain America and what a disappointment, making a crappy movie ! Not sure who are the cheerers, perhaps relatives of the director.

Interesting, but could be better
29 June 2022
Really liked the first 4 episodes of the series. Good start, good story and build-up, good acting, interesting concept. But everything becomes hazy, confusing and unrelated from the 5th episode. What are those crap about Hippo, Alligator, scale imbalance, duat, journey to death, childhood incident, psycho facility, so called Gods/Avatars fights and all those crappy dramas in episodes 5 and 6? Those were not necessary to the main story and some of the logics do not even make sense.

They could have made it a much better series overall focusing only the main story and developing it, instead of adding those phycho/death melodramas at the last minute of the story.

Warning: Spoilers
What a stupid movie, with lots of plot holes. When your wife goes missing and police is already helping you, you don't go rambo for nothing if you are just a regular person. I find following issues with the movie:

  • Why did the husband lie to the police when he was stopped for speeding? He could have just told the police that his wife is missing and he was looking
  • Why did he ran off? He could have just handled it better
  • Why didn't he go and tell police when he found the drug lab?

  • Why didn't the bad guys eliminate him when they knew that he was looking for his wife and trailing?

  • There were so many redflags for the husband, too for the kidnapping. Why didn't police checked his background?

I could list on and on but this movie is just a super waste of time and money.

What a Show !
16 June 2022
Excellent show! Beautifully done. The series did not take any sides yet showed the real picture of how Palestinians are being treated by their occupiers.

The show also depicted very nicely a comparison between 1948 and present day. Very enjoyable and well portrayed show. Perhaps the world can watch this show and learn about what Israel actually does. As the protagonist Erin said, "I learned a lot".
