Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road (2021)
Pretty good on the whole
Whilst an interesting watch I did find some parts rather uncomfortable to watch. Brian has obviously given it his go ahead yet I still felt immense sadness at times for this old man sitting in a car recalling some emotional moments in his life. With is still playing on my mind a day after viewing I would have to say I think i I should have left the scab unpicked.
Carry on Columbus (1992)
C'mon, it is a carry on film.
OK, Jim Dale in his mid-50s and Sara Crowe in her mid-20s somewhat iffy but this film is nowhere near as bad as I remember it being back in the 90s. Of course the majority of the classic line ups are long gone yet it is still boasts a who's who of British (mainly) stalwarts. Who cares if Julian Clarey actually did say the line: "i could do with something hot inside me......" when sitting down to eat a meal and Maureen Lipman has a dodgey squint. Larry Miller as the Inca chief is fantastic (i have never seen Carry On do satire before), as is Rik Mayall. If you are expecting Citizen Kane or Rashomon you will probably be a wee bit disappointed but i was pleasantly surprised - definitely better than Carry On Emmannuelle or Carry On England anyway.
Munich: The Edge of War (2021)
Trying way too hard
Almost 53 minutes in and my fears are becoming realised more every second. First off I really wanted to like this but so far the acting is embarrassingly bad. Of course Jeremy Irons is all you would expect, but the others, oh dear. As for the script, ouch. This is bad.
Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
A most embarrassing movie
Dude, this is a most embarrassingly bad movie that I sincerely regret watching. Don't do it guys, try and remember the good times.....
