Father Dowling Mysteries (1989)
Loved this show
Loved this show. However, there was definitely a different Church used in part of season 1 than the rest of the series. Nothing in any Google search says anything about any other Church being used except the Annunciation in Denver. So was one of those "churches" a stage set?
Also, in the earlier episodes a different kitchen set was used. There's never any explanation when major changes are made. Is just so noticeable you just wonder most of it on a stage set?
Not quite sure why we have to put in so many characters. So now I'm trying to fill up space but basically I wish something like Father Dowling was on again. I also wonder was Father Brown fashioned/modeled after Father Dowling or vice versa?
Fixer to Fabulous (2019)
Had to change my mind about Jenny
I used to like this show and both of them immensely they were very down to earth. However, after watching some of the shows about their reno in Italy, Jenny seems to have become a spendthrift caring more about getting The most expensive finishes than the client's budget. She was visibly disappointed when her "friend" couldn't afford the floor tile or the countertop that she originally wanted. Jenny's face said it all and she kept trying to talk her into it because it was 'so worth it' because of what they were trying to do and create. Gosh if she treats a friend like money is no object then Lord only knows how she would treat the rest of us. Very very disappointed in her attitude lately.
FBI (2018)
Very stiff wooden show with poor writing & acting all the way around
Especially Maggie/Missy Peregrine. She's so wooden and the writing makes her out to be a witch with a capital B. I can't stand her snobbish "know it all" attitude especially with OA, who out of all the characters seems to have a fairly pleasant personality.
And don't even get me started on Isobel! She's another arrogant witch with a capital B who breaks a lot of rules but doesn't like it when her staff breaks rules. She's bossy and she thinks she's knows what she's talking about and she's always throwing her weight around she's useless.
And why don't they ever write characters with some kind of brains in their head. They're a hundred yards away from the suspect and they yell FBI freeze and what do they think, the guy is actually going to stand there and wait for them. Stupid stupid stupid useless writers that probably get paid a lot of money, more money than they're worth.
FBI International lead character Finn, is another one of those arrogant pushy people - can't stand him.
The only FBI that's worth anything is the FBI Most Wanted.
Why the Heck Did I Buy This House? (2022)
Where do they find these homeowners
On the very first episode she goes into a house and I'm hoping that the homeowners intentionally made the house look like a junkyard because would anybody in their right mind let their kids have toys on every inch of space in the house? Would anybody in their right mind have dirty clothes and dishes sitting around? And all the whining that the homeowners do "oh I was so attached to that". Grow up for heaven's sakes and if you really want something changed then let the designers do their work and quit complaining. I for one would love to have a makeover and I wouldn't complain about a thing they were doing. Or maybe the producers coach the people on how bad the house should look and all the bad things they should say and or complain about just so they think it might make the show more interesting?
Motive (2013)
Good until season 4
Season 1 through 3 was excellent. The friendship and banter between Vega and Angie was spot on. Then season 4 came around the new guy is a smart aleck know it all, not good chemistry with anybody else. Vega and Angie have no interaction like they used to and now there's a romantic involvement with b
Betty. Angie has no good working relationship with anybody else since Vega. I'm glad they canceled the show.
