King David (1985)
Follows biblical story remarkably well
I was really impressed by how well this story followed the bible exactly. How Solomon annointed David to be King while Saul was still on the throne, and how David played the Lyre for Saul, including the 23rd Psalm. The story was slow, but impressive. I thought the movie was well acted, for the type of story it was. I could actually imagine that the actors protraying the persons of the bible were the actual people. That is something!
Windtalkers (2002)
Graphic, but good
***SPOILERS*** ***SPOILERS*** This movie was so graphic and startling that it was hard to watch, even though I rated it a 7. I rated it that because it was so real and great acting and effects. What surprised us the most was when Christian Slater had his head cut off and they showed it - what great special effects.
Sweet November (1968)
My favorite all time movie
Sweet November reminds me of a time when life was good and free, as depicted in the movie. The characters are from a different world, a different time, one that a lot of us would like to find. For the time, giving someone a key to your house, or even leaving the doors unlocked was not unheard of. This is a true love story, and such a good movie.
