The Thing (1982)
The missing scenes
After Watching this film for the past 20 years... not even countable how many times I've seen this... I still can't find ANY information on the missing scenes...
I seem to be the only one who noticed that there are some crucial scenes missing... and it took a lot of views to even notice it. Mostly because the film is so good and it flows along very well.
In the scenes where Clark finds something weird going on in the dog pen and brings all the others back, they all watch as the things stretches long clawed arms upwards, punches a hole in the ceiling and escapes and then they burn what was left in the pen.
Then the movie continues with NO ONE remembering that part of it escaped from the dog pen.
So where are those scenes????
Psycho Beach Party (2000)
Groovy Baby
Just saw this movie tonight on Shadow Lane! It was fantabulous! The main reason I decided to check it out was because Nicholas Brendan was in it... but what whole lotta shakin'! It was great, it was silly, it was ridiculous and hilarious! Better than any "original" beach party flick from the 60's! Tops! And Charles Busch was great! Everyone was great! I think I'll be watching this groovy flick again! =)
Python (2000)
You've got to be kidding?
Well, finally saw this film. In my humble opinion, ANACONDA and KING COBRA were both better than this film! Tho' it had a little bit higher suspense than KC, that was about all. It seemed very much like a rip-off of KING COBRA. Same story, same idea, just KC was done better. There was very little background in PYTHON regarding the "beast", save for "a secret military weapon" and I was a little disappointed.
Crocodile (2000)
Excellent film by Tobe Hooper!
When I decided to watch this film, I had no idea it was a Tobe Hooper film, and I was glad I did. It had all the great elements of a horror film and even the characters were fun. Unlike LAKE PLACID where we had fully-built models, we deal with computer animation in most of it, but still I thought this was a great film and I give it a total 10! Thanks Tobe!
King Cobra (1999)
Great horror flick!
I loved this movie! I thought it was quite original in mutating a King Cobra and a Rattlesnake together and having it grow 30 feet long and terrorise a countryside! Pat Morita was wonderful, as always! My favourite quote "I do not run well, I'm Japanese. Japanese weren't meant to run, they were meant to last!" The rest of the actors were awful, but Pat and Seth were great! Sequel!!!! I want to see Seth again. Actually, I want Seth!!! Forget the Watch-Dog!!! =)
Urban Legends: Final Cut (2000)
Beautiful ending!
This was a beautiful film. More Urban Legends, as if there could be enough, and a perfect ending! I was wondering if Rebecca Gayheart was going to show up! I don't think that either one was better than the other, I think both films were great. But the first one still tugs at my heart. <grin>.
Stir of Echoes (1999)
Excellent film!
This was a great film, I thought and well done. It's nice to see more of these "things of the unknown" coming out in the past few years, obviously trying to make people aware of things they mostly ignore. The typical unbeliever becomes aware of everything character is obvious for a reason, as stated above. The performances were good... some of the characters were flat, but if you were paying attention to just the story, then it didn't matter. This is a film I would watch again. I thought the ending was perfect with the child's head cluttered with voices as they left town. For the gifted, it's quite normal. =)
Mystery Men (1999)
Stupid, but fantastic!
MYSTERY MEN has got to be THE stupidest film I've ever seen, but what a film! I thought it was fabulous, excellent and impressive. It was funny, well-done and nice to see ridiculous Super Heroes for a change! And being able to pull it off! This was great! I'll definitely watch it again!
Virus (1999)
You've got to be kidding...?
What an AWFUL movie. I was expecting something quite different, but it was a was of good money. Yecchhhh! Obviously Donald Sutherland did this film out of boredom, and I guess Jamie Lee need the money.... =P! And the friends that watched it with me thought it sucked, too.
