The 13th Warrior (1999)
Ages 15 to 50, we all enjoyed the film.
We weren't disappointed. Are intent on going to see the movie was to escape reality for a while. This film helped us do just that.
The gentlemen who performed as the Vikings were outstanding!! in their performances -- each and every one of them.
Banderas did a fine job, but I would have liked to have had seen his character developed a bit more.
As for Sara's comment about the goddess/sky god conflict, get over it. Looking at things and films to deeply only gets you into mental disarray.
Crackerjack (1994)
Could have been a winner
but Thomas Ian Griffith just doesn't have the polish that a big bucks actor has, granted this was made 5+ years ago. Some of the humorous lines could have been timed to make this not only action, but comedy. And how do you get KC out of Katia Koslovska anyhow? Plummer's character was so corny, he would have fit better in a Bullwinkle toon. Personally, if action flicks are going to show skin -- I'd have liked to have seen equal time between female/male, otherwise don't show any.
Aspen Extreme (1993)
Every summer . . .
I watch this flick, just to remind myself that snow and skiing is on its way to me again soon -- love the ski scenes!!!! :) Of course its not real hard to watch Paul Gross or Peter Berg on the big screen either! So if two boys from Detroit can ski that well there first time on real mountains, then there's hope for all of us midwesterners -- not only in our dreams.
