The Hunted (2003)
Great acting, thrilling action
Benicio Del Toro and Tommy Lee Jones give one of their best performances in this thrilling action movie by action master director William Friedkin. It's all about style and acting rather than complicated scripting. The intense overall feeling you have during the good ninety minutes let you forget about the somewhat missing story content (almost reminds me of Kafka's work). Don't miss this one 8/10.
Feardotcom (2002)
Amazing how such a bad movie can receive so many comments
but I think I follow Roger Eberth in that this is another example of how style can overcome very bad (I mean *REALLY* bad) content. This must be one of the worst stories/scripts of all times. However the movie looks very good and really got me scared ... and that although the whole cr***y story does not make any sense at all... strange but interesting, this movie does deserve audience but with this word of warning: don't expect any logic or narration that makes sense.
2103: The Deadly Wake (1997)
One of the worst flicks I've seen
This movie is absolutely pointless, one of the good esamples how Malcom McDowall never got one decent role after Clockwork Orange. This one may be one of the worst though. No story, crappy special effects, shot in 4:3/or even worse cropped on DVD, just avoid it ....
Timescape (1991)
Not very spectacular but smart
I wasn't too sure what was going to await me here. What a pleasant surprise! Jeff Daniels and Ariana Richards make up a team with lots of intensity as father and daughter. Suspense is gained without many special effects, what a relief in all this overkill of technology. Great little sci-fi/mystery spoof, very enjoyable, and the DVD looks just outstanding (just like almost everything done by Anchor Bay)
