Final Justice (1984)
Never let 'em see you sweat...
23 January 2003
I saw this movie on Mystery Science Theater 3000 and it was even bad by their standards. I got a strange sense of deja vue watching this as they kept "recycling" scenes (using the same footage multiple times). I guess they had to save money to keep up with JDB's dry cleaning bill as he sweats profusely throughout this movie. Sweat on a young fit guy sans shirt may be considered sexy by some, but not a fat middle aged guy. This movie was so bad, and so predictable that I didn't make it through the last 20 minutes or so, but I saw enough to "get the picture".

I think this film had to be made in Italy as films this bad are outlawed by our Constitution. If you must see this film, watch it via MST3k, at least you will laugh. Thank God he and the hot Italian chick didn't do any bed scenes. JDB certainly was not Walking Tall here - but I don't mean to pick on him - everyone pretty much sucked in this movie including the Jimmy Dean Sausage dude (his dead partner).

Black Sheep Squadron (1976–1978)
Pappy rules!
21 March 2001
I watch this every day on the History Channel. Great show, maybe not the most historically accurate, but you get a sense of what life was like for these young pilots in the Pacific. Gutterman and Pappy are my favorite characters. Most everyone with a speaking role in the series carved out a nitche for himself and made his character fairly memorable. This is a show the whole family can watch together and learn a little about WW2. One thing I like about the History Channel is that each commercial break has a blurb from a real member of the Black Sheep Squadron giving insights into areas where the show is not accurate.

Why did they cancel this show?? The show went WAY down hill with the addition of the T&A factor (aka Pappy's Lambs). What was a pathetic attempt to boost ratings further detracted from the historical accurateness of the show by depicting woman with no acting talent, often scantily dressed, with 70s hairstyles positioned on the front lines in WW2. Pappy Boyington was a technical advisor to the show and should have put a stop to this!!!

Attention Hollywood: Pappy Boyington and his brave men would make an excellent feature film. The TV series just scratches the surface of the adventures of the Black Sheep.

Fun and light-hearted
28 September 2000
I really enjoyed the movie. Sometimes you want to watch something that is fun and lighthearted with a happy ending. Not every film is a great epic. People tend to be hard on films like these when writing a review because they think every film must be deep and intellectual. This movie can be enjoyed by the whole family, has a lot of funny moments, and won't give you nightmares. Not a waste of time if you like fun!

Watch this with booze and a big pizza

I watched this as a teen in the 80s and have watched it a few times recently. Great T & A comedy including nudity, geeks, and great music by Vixen. I wish a soundtrack was available. As us teens of the 80s start getting older, we appreciate more the 3 middle aged dorks. Great for laughs... funny and trashy.

Billy Jack (1971)

Great movie to watch when you call in sick to work
31 May 2000
Hey, when you are watching a movie about a white guy playing a peace-loving native american with feet of fury you tend to expect a lot. If this film were made today it might have never even made it to the big screen much less video. The best thing about this film is the spirit it captures of the time - the hippies, the music, the freedom trips. The story isn't bad, and in fact times is pretty amusing, especially when Billy Jack kicks a$$ and that jerk Barnard gets his.

One thing kind of interesting about this movie is that the "kids" at this school mostly look like they are 27 and over with many of the guys in the later stages of balding...maybe they fried their hair off with all those drugs.

Billy Jack is cool and remains one of my favs. I don't think many people today under 25 get its message though. I wish the sequels were easier to find but they never seem to make it to TV.
