A House Divided (2000 TV Movie)
Powerful period piece of Georgia History.
2 February 2002
I enjoyed this film which was on SHOWTIME recently. "Based upon true events" this film tells the story of one civil war era family that kept a potentially deadly secret from the person who most needed to know the secret. Fine performances by Sam Waterston (anything he does is worth watching), Jennifer Beals and the rest of the cast. Hard to believe that we're looking at Toronto, Ontario instead of the real-life location of South Georgia (just over from L.A.- Lower Alabama). Take the time to watch this interesting film which changed Georgia law.

A stunning performance by Robert Knuckle
20 March 2001
In essentially a one-man show, Canadian actor Robert Knuckle inhabits the role of legendary football coach Vince Lombardi. Traces Lombardi's coaching career from a small Catholic high school in New Jersey to the NFL and post-Green Bay years with the Washington Redskins. A must-see for football fans and film buffs alike.

Funny and Offbeat!
17 March 2000
I saw this short film at the 1999 Kudzu Film Festival in Athens, Georgia. It amused me with its offbeat portrayal of Jesus as an every day man having a typical "bad" day. The audience was very receptive to the film and the performances were great: especially Casey Sander! Check this one out!

If you liked "Walking Tall" you'll like this one!
18 October 1999
I enjoyed this true story of a North Carolina sheriff who avenges the death of his deputy brother. Has the same feel of a "Walking Tall". First time director, Thom McIntyre does a great job. McIntyre also wrote the screenplay.
