Hercules (1997)
7/10
A Comedy of Epic Proportions
25 August 1998
"Hercules" - another terrific animation from Disney Studio. I enjoyed it very much and recommend it to all people who like good laughs, some moral tale, colorful characters etc. If you really want to spend your free time with your family enjoying great movie, you should choose "Hercules" - a Comedy of Epic Proportions.

Blackjack (1998 TV Movie)
It's a real John Woo's movie
18 August 1998
"Blackjack" is the first movie which was directed by John Woo, since last year's terrific "Face/Off". It was made for TV and I was afraid that lack of big budget would made this film dull but it was my mistake. "Blackjack" of course isn't "Face/Off" starring Dolph Lundgren but still I enjoyed it very much. "Blackjack" is full of John Woo's style (you know: each guy has at least 3 guns in his pockets and all actions scenes seem like a dancing number). If you want a good, very good action you should choose "Blackjack" - another lesson how to make action thriller from John Woo.

Talos the Mummy is not a masterpiece
17 August 1998
"Talos the Mummy" isn't a masterpiece but it's OK if you want a good entertainment. Of course I can't compare it with "Star Gate" or other similar movies but still "Talos" is for fans of Russell Mulcahy who directed it. Russell Mulcahy also directed "The Shadow" and "The Ricochet" and this movie isn't his best one (I think "The Shadow" is his best). But if you want to spend 2 hours of your free time with a good special effects, action and sometimes horror you should see "Talos the Mummy"

"The Poseidon Adventure" is a total waste of talents
17 August 1998
"The Poseidon Adventure" is a total waste of talents. Imagine a movie where all positive characters have blue eyes and you understand what I mean. There are a lot of good actors here but their work is terrible. "The Poseidon Adventure" is a movie full of all cliches of film-catastrophe. If you have not seen the movie already, I recommend you not to see it at all because in that case you will be not disappointed with the work of Gene Hackman and Ernest Borgnine.
