Ticker (2001)
Oh why didn't I read the reviews before I rented this movie...
Well, I have myself to blame. I should have read about the movie and should NOT have rented it. But I did. :-(
I like Steven Seagal. He is usually in entertaining movies with very good fight scenes. Be advised ! This is no ordinary Seagal movie. The little fighting he does is in the end of the movie and it is so bad that you wonder if he has gained so much weight that he can't move anymore.
Well. What more can you say: This is a REALLY bad movie. The copy I rented had DTS sound. For what ? So that the explosions can sound good ? The other parts of the movie has really bad sound.
SPOILERS: And the clock. What about it ? Was it some kind of trigger or what ? Not to mention the car that explodes without the ground even turning black. And ... ... Well actually there were so many bad things in this movie I could go on and on and on ...
Blade II (2002)
Action extravaganza.
If you think that vampires are very unrealistic. STOP! Don't see this movie.
But if you like: Half vampires killing vampires killing super vampires in a non stop action thrill ride with as good as it gets fight scenes and added to that some gore and horror, see this one and go home VERY satisfied.
You don't get a cooler but kicker than Blade.
Beck: Hämndens pris (2001)
One of the best, so far, in the Beck series.
As you can see if you search IMDB you will see there has been a lot of releases in the Beck series. There is a big difference in quality between the films. This is one of the best.
Peter Haber is very good as Beck and of course Mikael Persbrandt IS Gunvald. Shanti Roney plays psychopath almost as if he is one...
If you want to see a good Swedish suspense thriller, watch this one.
