Thirteen Days (2000)
Absolute drivel
Factually inaccurate, poor performances and scripts...just another sounding board for the Hollyweird left wing. Save your money and just buy a Democratic manifesto...absolute rubbish...The only redeeming feature was the uncanny likeness of Steven Culp to Bobby Kennedy. If you want a laugh just concentrate on Kevin Costner's accent...
Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985)
Absolutely laughable, could it be worse?
The only interest in this film was watching the 'future' talent that had to try and make this inane, brainless drivel try and work. After watching this rubbish I am surprised that any of them found future employment.
The young players did seem genuinely enthusiastic, so I assume that the need to break through to the big time was the motivation, it surely wasn't this film....
Entrapment (1999)
Nice body and great voice can't carry this one....
Not even the beautiful Zeta-Jones and the sexy voice of Sean Connery can carry this cookie-cutter type action adventure film. The story is weak and absolute full of holes, the action sequences are all too measured. Just a very sad effort all around.
The Blair Witch Project (1999)
A cult? Yes. A great movie? I think not!!!
While this film has received a cult following in a very short time and the concept is intriguing I must admit that this was just not a very good movie.
The trouble with cult movies is that objectivity seems to go out the window and the film is not judged on its merits. This is one that falls into that category.
The Shrimp on the Barbie (1990)
This was awful
I cannot think of one redeeming feature about this movie. The acting is wooden, the script unbelievably bad!! If there is a redeeming feature it is the scenery from many shots taken around New Zealand and the brief appearance of some rarely seen New Zealand artists.
If you have a choice between a dentist appointment and watching this film, take the drill every time, even if it means a root canal!!!
