This is what spying looks like
shanayneigh23 September 2021
Remember that this show was released as the debate of alleged (or perhaps imaginary) Russian "meddling" in US and European politics reached a furore. But if you want to know what foreign meddling - in actuality spying - really looks like, then look no further than this marvellous documentary.

Season 1 was released to a deafening silence.

Season 2 wasn't even released at all after American pressure. Both seasons are thankfully available on Youtube, and they are highly recommended.

Imagine the outrage if the country in question had been Russia or Iran. US, European, Israeli and Jewish media of course came to Israel's rescue, desperately trying to minimize the actions of Israel's embassy and lobby organizations. One reviewer in Haaretz sneered and ridiculed the documentary asking why Israel, with its fabled intelligence services, was begging a bunch of amateurs for intel? What he neglects to tell you is that this is exactly the work of intelligence services. They are grooming the future leaders. Another review in the Jewish Chronicle maintains that Israel interfering in British politics is a conspiracy theory. After us having just seen four episodes of Israel doing just that.

Of course the documentary was accused of being antisemitic, because that is par for the course whenever someone criticizes Israel.

Do yourself a favor and watch this outstanding documentary.
