Certification

Sex & Nudity

  • A character takes off her shirt to reveal she's wearing a tank top underneath. Some cleavage is shown. A male character walks out of his bathroom shirtless wearing only a towel. Another bare-chested male sits in his underwear with an unfastened bathrobe in his dressing room.
  • No real nudity or sex.
  • Aside from some cleavage shots, the worst the movie gets is a couple characters kissing.

Violence & Gore

  • All of the death scenes are incredibly graphic and gory. Even saying that is an understatement.
  • Some of the violence and gore is tongue in cheek.
  • 10/10
  • A man's face is burned off.

Profanity

  • There's a few religous explitives like "damn" and "hell". "Dick" is said a few times and so is "asshole". "Bitch" is used three times.
  • Not a single F bomb is dropped, but there is two uses of "shit" in the same scene. That's about it with the controversial profanities.
  • Other than the religious and genital profanities, the movie mostly has tame name-calling like "Scumbag" and "Weirdo".
  • One brief use of "holy crap."
  • 5/10

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Stevie is caught drinking alcohol, and when he's onstage he's fully drunk (but is sobered up after Drooper knocks him off a speaker).
  • There's a quick quip said by Fleegle about smoking after putting out a burning corpse.
  • Andy smokes a cigar, and is the only time he is seen smoking.
  • 3/10

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Some younger audiences may be scared or uncomfortable around the designs of the Banana Splits, especially when parts of their costumes are off the exoskeleton.
  • A lot of blood and gore is seen throughout the climax.
  • 8/10
  • The entire movie in general is filmed in a menacing and grim style. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • It's revealed that Mitch has been cheating on his wife by sleeping with his assistant. While his wife is scrolling through his phone we see provocative pictures but no nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • Stevie has a giant spiral lollipop shoved down his throat by Drooper, he graphically chokes up a lot of blood. Towards the end of his death, we can see a large lump (the lollipop) in his throat, which is unsettling to look at. His corpse is later lit on fire in front of traumatized children during the climax.
  • Thadd is shoved into a trick box and sawn in half by Fleegle, the box is then pulled apart and we graphically see his intestines and insides pour out all over the stage. This is seen again later in the film, with Poppy holding his arm.
  • Jonathan has his face set on fire, we see the nasty aftermath. He later has his back ripped open by a key, his spine is exposed. Afterwards he's immediately thrown off the stage balcony.
  • Sal has his head decapitated offscreen, his head gorily falls off when Mitch tries to turn him around to get his attention. This is followed by Mitch getting hit by a Banana Buggie.
  • Rebecca is strangled by Fleegle, who throws her to the ground, which causes her to break her nose, we see blood at her nose, and then Fleegle breaks her fingers. In the Sloppy Time Course Scene, she breaks her fingers again while Drooper evilly laughs. After John's death, she is killed by a hammer to the face. We see the gruesome aftermath and later get a much closer view of the face when Paige falls into the pit.
  • Mitch, who survived the first car accident, unfortunately gets hit again, but this time, he is gorily murdered, blood splatters on the ground and we see his corpse after.
  • Paige slips on blood and sees Doug, with Bingo's drumsticks in his eyes.
  • The entire adult audience of the show is found brutally massacred in a hallway.
  • Karl shows 3 kids his missing fingers and then Harley jabs him with a stick. Later Poppy kills him by slitting his throat with a bladed glove. Blood splatters
  • Andy is revealed to be pinned on a make shift wheel of endings in the climax (blood already covering his palms and shoes). The wheel then lands on "Banana Split". Drooper and Fleegle then rip him off the wheel, and then horrifically rip of his limbs with blood splatting on their feet and even blood spraying out of each arm and leg! Later we see his limbless corpse fall to the ground and a yellow liquid leaking from his mouth! Goriest scene in this movie by far!
  • Before Fleegle and Drooper fight Beth, they are holding Andy's limbs. They drop them and then fight Beth. Drooper keeps strangling Beth, but Austin saves her by stabbing Fleegle's head. Drooper punches Austin and claws Beth's back. Harley gives her his wand and she stabs Drooper. He bleeds liquid cooler.
  • There's a minute long fight scene between Snorky and Bingo when Bingo corners Beth and her kids in the studio basement (after climax). Snorky crushes Bingo's legs and tears off his arm. But then he rips out Snorky's "heart" and Snorky uses the last of his strength to pop Bingo's head open. Though because they're robots, there's no blood or gore. (But like Drooper, when Snorky gets his heart pulled out, liquid cooler spills all over the place.)
  • Mitch Gets Ran Over By The Banana Buggy By Poppy/Hootie Blood Is Shown All Over His Body

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Stevie (before his death) is seen drinking alcoholic substances, and even spits some in Drooper's face.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The part where Beth, Austin, Poppie, and Paige find the brutally massacred adult audience can ick out some people despite their bodies being quickly on screen.
  • Some people may be affected by Snorky's death, but may find it funny because he speaks in honks.
  • Fleegle has his exoskeleton shown at the climax, we see his robotic face. May be creepy to some children and younger audiences.
  • Snorky's death may be sad to some.
