While fans are desperately waiting to finally see Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson embrace his new look as the Captain in his upcoming solo movie Captain America 4, they aren’t too sure about Danny Ramirez’s beloved character Joaquín Torres. In fact, if anything, they are deeply worried about the latter’s character in the movie after recent updates about Captain America: Brave New World.
Captain America: Brave New World (2025) | Marvel Studios
A major reason behind this reaction from fans is the superhero costume that Ramirez would be sporting in the film after his character replaced Wilson to become the new Falcon. And as much as they hate to admit it, seeing him in his new look has fans feeling that he looks more like the Vulture from the Spider-Man saga than anywhere close to how perfect Wilson looked as the superhero.

The upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Brave New World has had a rather rocky development, with rumors of poor test screenings, reshoots, and even delays leading to some wondering when the film will actually be released.
So little is known about the film, and the only hint at any story is its multiple subtitles, with the first being “New World Order” but being changed to “Brave New World” due to political concerns. This will also be the first Captain America film without Chris Evans as Falcon (Played by: Anthony Mackie) has taken up the mantel (as seen in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier).
But we may now know of a character that will be appearing in the film, one that will serve as the potential main villain of the story. That being Red Hulk. Red Hulk is the alter ego of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross after he, too, was mutated like Bruce Banner,...

We know that ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ was stuck in a development hell for quite some time. The movie was supposed to be released this year but after early test screenings proved to have overwhelmingly negative feedback, the flick was scheduled for a massive round of reshoots.
This delayed it for close to a year, now it’s set to be released on February 15, 2025. The latest footage from CinemaCon showcased some plot points. The clip reveals Sam Wilson meeting President Thunderbolt Ross at the White House, where Ross proposes reuniting the Avengers under a new Captain America. However, there are hints of Ross having ulterior motives. Chaos erupts during a meeting when a mysterious villain takes control, leading to action-packed scenes including Sam defending himself against Secret Service agents. It looks like there is more bad news in store for Marvel fans and fans of Captain America. After extensive reshoots and cutting away major scenes, Captain America: Brave New World still seems to have issues. The Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford starrer has been in the making since 2022 and will be released on February 10, 2025.
The film is set to build on the events of the Disney Plus series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with Mackie’s Sam Wilson taking over the mantle of Captain America. The film recently debuted some footage at CinemaCon which showed Ford’s Thaddeus Ross as well. However, industry insider Jeff Sneider mentioned that all was not good in the movie.

When it comes to protecting his IPs, Kevin Feige is no less than a clucking mother hen, and Captain America might just be the biggest egg in the basket. After Chris Evans’ swan song moment in Avengers: Endgame, the IP became as invaluable as first-edition art – treasured enough to be left as is but popular enough to be replicated.

Since the film’s initial announcement back in 2023, quite a few fans have been doubting if Anthony Mackie’s Captain America: Brave New World would actually live up to the legacy that Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers left behind. Well, turns out it just might, as Mackie clarified through his most recent statement on the 2025-release window scheduled film.

Fanboys will have to wait until San Diego Comic Con to see footage from Marvel Studios’ 2025 release Captain America: Brave New World, but exhibitors do not. On Thursday during Disney’s closing CinemaCon session, the studio showed off the new Anthony Mackie movie that picks up after the events of the 2021 Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. In that series, Sam Wilson takes over the shield left behind by the late Steve Rogers (Chris Evans).
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige called the film “a grounded politically thriller” onstage of Caesars Palace at the Colosseum before introducing Mackie.
Mackie shared how he started in these movies 10 years ago, and loved how he’s now “starring in my own Marvel movie.” Mackie didn’t delay and introduced the footage.
In the clip, Harrison Ford’s Potus wants Sam Wilson to rebuild the Avengers. He’s impressed what the hero did down in Mexico.

Depending who you ask, the streaming wars are either over (and Netflix has won!) or still very much ongoing.
Well, if you came to this story, you’ve asked us. Our answer: Yes, Netflix has won first place, but the other podiums are still in play.
Historically, the way to evaluate streamers was by subscriber count. Though the industry’s grow-or-die era is over, subscribers are still very important to ranking the streaming services. Revenue may have taken over as the key-est of the KPIs (key performance metrics) for Netflix and others, but there is no revenue without subscribers.
We’ve recorded the subscriber counts for each of the major streaming services as of December 31, 2023. Netflix will report its Q1 results on April 18, 2024; everyone else will follow with their own updates.

Anthony Mackie has been a stalwart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since debuting as Sam Wilson/Falcon in 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” The actor’s superhero tenure has included “Avengers” movies and the Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Now, Mackie is taking on the mantle of Captain America in the upcoming theatrical tentpole “Captain America: Brave New World.”
While promoting his latest series “Twisted Metal” in the United Kingdom, Mackie compared the project to his experience making Marvel movies and told Radio Times there was a lot more storytelling freedom to be had outside of the MCU.
“I would say the Marvel thing is completely different, just because it’s such a space of controlled entertainment. Like, there’s only so much you can do,” Mackie observed. “There’s only so much creativity you can bring to the table, because Stan Lee gave us so much content.

We haven’t seen the full Avengers team in action since ‘Endgame.’ Since then, most members are either gone, doing their own thing, or still recovering from the heavy hits they took in the last few phases of the MCU.
There are two new Avengers movies in the works: ‘Avengers 5,’ also known as ‘Kang Dynasty,’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ which fans hope will draw from the comics. People are speculating a lot about who will be in the new Avengers, especially with the bunch of new superheroes introduced in the last phase and more expected in upcoming projects. There’s also a ‘Young Avengers’ movie in development, showing the next generation of heroes getting ready to take over from the older ones.

The last time we saw the full Avengers team in glorious action was back in ‘Endgame,’ and since then, most of the members are either dead or doing their own thing or still recovering from planet-shattering damage to their psyche that the last few phases of the MCU dealt to them.

Anthony Mackie is all set to get his solo Captain America project in Captain America: Brave New World, slated to release in 2025. However, the Disney+ show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, explored Wilson’s journey from being Falcon to Captain America.

Like most areas of the entertainment industry outside of acting, casting and costuming, television writing was generally one big boys club until women began making (incremental) inroads during the 1990s. There were trailblazers like "I Love Lucy" scribe Madelyn Pugh, but that trail was walked far too infrequently for far too many years.
Anyone who possessed a conscience knew this was unacceptable, which is why it's disappointing that a politically progressive (particularly for his era) writer like Rod Serling never made a concerted effort to work at least one female writer into "The Twilight Zone" mix during the series' five seasons (which stretched from 1959 to 1964). To be fair, Serling did adapt the work of women for certain episodes; in fact, a tale that many consider the show's finest half-hour, "Time Enough at Last," was based on a short story by sci-fi/fantasy writer Lynn Venable. Marvel has been making a lot of mistakes these past few years; mistakes that have significantly impacted their image in the world of superheroes. However, much like Tony Stark, the one thing the franchise has always been good at is learning from the past.
Recently, there were speculations that Captain America: Brave New World was making a very big mistake with its story; something that also happened in 2007 with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 3.
Captain America: Brave New World
It would seem, however, that the Captain America film is learning from the faults of Marvel’s past. Recent reports have suggested that the film will begin reshoots in some time which will cut out a huge chunk of the film. The MCU has many projects lined up for release in the next few years. With most releases pushed back to 2025 and beyond, information about these projects is kept tightly under wraps by Marvel Studios. Rumors abound due to this secrecy, particularly concerning ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ After disappointing test screenings, the film underwent extensive reshoots and rewrites, resulting in the exclusion of a notable villain group. The fourth installment in Cap’s franchise faced significant delays, initially swapping release dates with ‘Deadpool 3,’ but is now set for a 2025 release.
However, recent US Copyright filings provide insight into the movie’s updated synopsis, which simply states, “Sam Wilson is the new Man with a Plan.”
Although the synopsis didn’t disclose many details, it did confirm some potential characters appearing in the movie.

MCU has quite a lot of projects to be released over the course of the next few years. Since most of the releases got rescheduled for 2025 and beyond, this also means that any info regarding the projects are closely guarded secrets, with Marvel Studios being notoriously tight-lipped regarding development and we have to rely on rumors, and rumors weren’t kind toward the upcoming ‘Captain America: Brave New World.’ Following unsatisfactory test screenings the movie underwent extensive reshoots and rewrites with notable villain group being excluded from the movie altogether. The fourth installment in Cap’s franchise also got severely delayed, initially only switching release dates with ‘Deadpool 3’ the movie is now on track to release in 2025.

When Babe Paley meets Truman Capote for the first time in 1955 in the FX anthology series “Feud: Capote vs. The Swans,” it is the story of Ann Woodward that the famous writer tells in order to captivate her and her luminous friends. As Tom Hollander relishes one of Capote’s many rich monologues, we see Demi Moore as Woodward playing out two versions of the gruesome tale of the death of her husband – one in which she mistakenly shoots him, thinking he’s a burglar, the other in which she commits an act of intention homicide.
When, by the end of the premiere episode, Capote publishes his infamous excerpt from the unfinished novel “Answered Prayers” in “Esquire” in 1975, it is Woodward who takes her own life. While not one of the most prominent characters in the show, Woodward and her demise demonstrate the stakes of the feud at the heart of the series’ title.

Mark Ruffalo is no stranger to unknowingly spoiling Marvel secrets. He and Tom Holland have a humorous reputation of being the two least trusted actors at the movie studio due to some amusing slip-ups. In 2017, Ruffalo would notoriously accidentally stream the first few minutes of Thor: Ragnarok from the premiere after his pre-show red carpet social media livestream was unknowingly left rolling as the actor put his phone back in his pocket and 2,500 online viewers could hear the live audio of the premiere audience watching and laughing at the jokes from the film.
Recently, Ruffalo attended a Q&a that reflected on his career at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday. Anne Thompson, the moderator, asked him if he would be appearing in the upcoming film, Captain America: Brave New World. Ruffalo answered, “Yeah.” and nodded his head. Mark Ruffalo has struck again!
During a Q&a about his career at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Sunday, the recent Oscar nominee seemed to confirm that he will be reprising his role as the Hulk in Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World.” Asked by moderator Anne Thompson if he would next appear in the 2025 feature, Ruffalo nodded his head and said, “Yeah.”
“Are you allowed to talk about that?” Thompson asked.
“Yeah,” Ruffalo said. “It’s going to be great!”
Alas, according to multiple sources, Ruffalo is not actually going to be in “Brave New World.” Instead, he misspoke, thinking he was agreeing that “Brave New World” is one of Marvel’s next films, not that he was going to be in it.
Nonetheless, Ruffalo’s one word answer went viral on social media on Monday, especially since it played into widespread fan expectations that Harrison Ford...

He’s been Han Solo, Indiana Jones, and Jack Ryan, and now it looks like Harrison Ford is officially hulking out in Captain America: Brave New World. While it had been speculated that Ford would eventually play the character due to his casting as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross (filling in for the late William Hurt), according to online rumours, the Red Hulk’s appearance in Brave New World has been confirmed. But how? According to a Marvel Studios Spoiler thread on Reedit, a crew member was spotted wearing an official movie jacket with Brave New World written in Red Hulk-style font, seemingly confirming the character’s appearance.

Plot: In season two, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe – that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo.
Review: Halo debuted in 2022 with fifteen years of development baggage heaped on top of it. With sky-high expectations for the series, anything less than a seismic shift in video game adaptations was bound to fail. Halo debuted with a muted response that found the Game of Thrones-esque intrigue and conspiracies distracting from what made the game one of the biggest franchises in history.

It has been more than four years since Chris Evans’ portrayal of Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, passed on his iconic shield to his friend and teammate Sam Wilson. The conclusion of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ provided Steve Rogers with a happy ending and paved the way for Anthony Mackie’s Falcon to step into the role of the next Captain America. However, in 2021’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ we witnessed Sam initially rejecting the shield. Eventually, he decided to embrace the mantle of Steve Rogers’ successor, especially when it became evident that the US government wouldn’t allow the shield to remain in a museum.

The "Halo" season 2 trailer has arrived, and it brings with it the return of Master Chief who is now facing a new, familiar threat to those who played the games: The Covenant. Indeed, this season will see the sword-wielding aliens wreaking havoc. It appears that the folks at Paramount+ spared no expense in crafting the second season of this show, but will that be enough to turn it into the series everyone hoped it would be in the first place?
This trailer is very moody and overflowing with gloomy action. It's got a "Starship Troopers" vibe to it at times, just without all of the vibrant color and blatant political commentary. We're also, once again, seeing Master Chief without his helmet off an awful lot. Love it or hate it, that element of the show remains in place. It's very cinematic and a lot of the visual effects look big-screen worthy.

Paramount+ revealed the official trailer for Halo‘s second season, which has Pablo Schreiber returning as Master Chief John-117 as he leads a team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant.
The new season has showrunner David Wiener (Brave New World) taking over for last season’s Steven Kane, who oversaw physical production on the first season in Budapest, and Kyle Killen, who supervised writing and production in the United States.
The new footage shows plenty of space action, though it appears a bit dim and murky (at least, in this trailer):
Wiener, Schreiber and newcast member Joseph Morgan had unveiled the first new footage for season two at Ccxp in São Paulo in December.

‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Hires New ‘Moon Knight’ Writer To Pen Extensive-Sounding Reshoots
Where there’s smoke, there’s fire? Are the rumors of “Captain America: Brave New World” true? What rumors? Well, “‘Captain America: Brave New World” was once a summer 2024 movie set right in the heart of July. However, after the strikes, Marvel Studios revamped their entire schedule, moving “Deadpool 3” into that July position even though its production shoot—which is still going on now as we speak—wasn’t complete and ‘Brave New World’ had finished its principal photography.

Marvel Studios has added screenwriter Matthew Orton to the production of “Captain America: Brave New World,” ahead of the superhero sequel’s plans for additional photography sometime in the spring.
The Walt Disney Company announced a series of delays to its theatrical release slate shortly after the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA strike. Along with “Deadpool 3,” “Thunderbolts” and “Blade,” “Brave New World” was among the group of Marvel productions impacted, moving from a July 26, 2024 date to Feb. 14, 2025. That’s almost seven more months for the studio to work on the fourth “Captain America” film, which had already completed principal photography prior to the actors strike. Reshoots are a commonplace practice for blockbuster tentpoles, particularly Marvel productions.
Orton’s previous credits include the World War II thriller “Operation Finale” and TV work on “Devil’s Peak” and Marvel’s Disney+ series “Moon Knight.” Dalan Musson and Malcolm Spellman have screenplay credits...

Chris Evans has heard the rumors of a possible Avengers reunion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next phase, but no one’s approached him about it thus far.
The Pain Hustlers star made an appearance on The View on Monday, where he discussed the rumors and if he’d ever return to his role of Captain America.
“You know, I always see those reports too, and it’s news to me,” Evans said on the daytime talk show. “I think every couple months, someone says that they’re getting [Robert] Downey [Jr.] and [Chris] Hemsworth and Scarlett [Johansson], and everyone’s coming back!”
The actor didn’t outright rule out potentially donning the Cap uniform again, but he did point out that the storyline would have to be something important.
“No one’s spoken to me about it,” he continued. “And look, I would never say never, but I really — I’m very protective.

On Thursday, Walt Disney Studios confirmed release date shuffles for several Marvel Studios projects, including Deadpool 3, Thunderbolts, Blade, and Captain America: Brave New World. While not surprising given that Hollywood is scrambling to recover from delays due to the recently ended actors’ strike, the move pushes multiple films onto a shocking timeline. Following the delays, Jeff Sneider and John Rocha assembled on The Hot Mic podcast to inform fans about more distressing developments. According to Sneider, Brave New World is moving to 2025 because the project requires extensive reshoots.
“What we’re hearing is that Captain America is moving to 2025,” Sneider told Rocha. “There was an idea that because Cap 4 was finished,” Sneider said while using air quotes. “Here’s the exclusive stuff! I’m told that Captain America 4 did not do great in test screenings.” After an audible gasp from Rocha, Sneider continued, “Three sequences are being cut, and...
