In April 2019, the Extinction Rebellion (XR) movement began a wave of protests during which they blocked key locations in London for 11 days. That same month, the British government declared a state of climate emergency. The Animal Rebellion movement was formed two months later, in June 2019, and its members often came from XR, with which it also shares strategy and demands, with the difference that it emphasizes the often neglected topic of animal production. With this short film, let's remember the events of the April Rebellion, which started a wave of climate protests and direct actions. It also features Emma Thompson, who has worked with XR in the past. The film looks at these events with a little perspective and parodies some activist clichés, but at the same time it does not detract from the seriousness of the message they convey.
