Several intense scenes of violence with unsettling results.
Variety of well-timed jump scares and some sequences with insurmountable tension
The archival footage of war crimes shown contain legitimate gore and are considerably unsettling.
Every scene that contains gore (simulated or real) are played intentionally for unease and fear, and done so effectively.
This film depicts the horrors of the Vietnam War in extremely graphic detail, and said depiction is incredibly lifelike. It has plenty of extreme graphic violence and gore, mature topics like PTSD, discrimination and survivor guilt, and very intense scenes, all of which make for a surprisingly extremely mature and down-to-earth portrayal of the true nature of warfare and the consequences of it to create an incredibly intense, disturbing and visceral film.
