Good Movie. Everybody acted well in the movie. Songs and BGM in the movie were not so good. The movie was interesting and thrilling at 1st half. The movie was not interesting and thrilling at 2nd half. Good Movie.

Interesting story, superb cast is spoiled by the pathetic screenplay and presentation... lot of lengthy scenes makes the movie so boring...Some scenes are good, but we cant sit throughout the movie for those one or two scenes... All the characters are presented with high intelligence in some scenes and total idiots in other scenes, so cant get any connection with any characters...

Easily skippable one.

Its the classic fable story of good vs bad, however both are VJS here. The Bad character was established as the guy with no sense of sympathy, remorse and blindly opportunistic. There are some great scenes where VJS has proved his mettle once again as an actor. However, the last part was bit cliche and feels like 80s movie climax.

Tughlaq darbar is a one time watchable movie which has some elements we seen in some movies before👍songs where ok. And acting of everyone was well😍💙. But some where the story gives us a laggy feel, but still its fun to watch. The performance of vijay sethupathi was brilliant but not as much as his old movies. RAYAPAN was💥💥. All over a worthwatch political one time watchable movie 7/10❤

Vijay Sethupathi has perfected the art of playing an "antihero" and while most of his roles seem similar, that opens the door for the story to take the front seat, which I don't mind. His role in this movie wasn't very different from stuff I've seen from him, but the storytelling was interesting in this one.

The movie is a political satire that has everything his previous movies have had: some comedy + some regular entertainment + some songs + some action and this time, some commercial masala and some sentiments also. But along with all of that, this movie had a different way of telling a story that you might have heard various times before.

If you like a commercial movie + his acting, you'll enjoy this one. There's nothing mind blowing with the movie though. I watched it while I cooked food, and this was very entertaining for something running in the background.

Actors must know Tamil pronunciation when acting a Tamil movie!

Review Of Tughlaq Durbar, On Netflix: Vijay Sethupathi Brings Alive A Jekyll-And-Hyde Story With A Clever Political Twist

At first, Tughlaq Durbar seems to follow the template of a familiar moral drama: a ground-level political worker, Singam (a superb Vijay Sethupathi) faces tests of conscience as he tries to climb the political ladder. Will he remain a scheming politician or will he find a way to be a good human being too? But on top of this, there's an entertaining layer straight out of Amaidhi Padai - Singam has to double-cross a senior in his party, Rayappan (Parthiban), to get ahead. Both these threads are engagingly held together until the end by both Balaji Tharaneetharan's writing and Vijay Sethupathi's performance.

Being an ardent fan of VJS,forced myself to get through the movie. Please stay away. Inspite of VJS it comes down crashing. I'm wondering why did VJS even take on this project. Can't be small pocket change, he takes on full screen space. Far fetched, plausible medical condition, however the screen play and story is at ground zero. You will come out with nothing at the end of the viewing. Utilize your time better.
