The Dude In Me is a charming & hillarious film that is pure and spreads a great message. Surprisingly well directed, which also has some great action sequences. The storyline flowed very well with the events and the performances were impressive. A sweet and touching comedy from South Korea.

The understated way the story unfolds and the pacing make this an enjoyable and funny movie. Body switch movies have been done many times but they are often slapstick or painful at times. This manages to avoid that. The touching back story and how both their lives improve is meaningful. Both the actors do a good job when in the other person's body. It's not a laugh a minute but there are quite a few laugh out loud moments and lots of feel good moments exciting fighting and well handled complex relationships between the parties.

I think its my favourite korean movie of 2019 so far. The plot was not fresh but the execution of the storyline by the talented cast was sweet and endearing. Also the plot was quite unexpected. The comic relief were done really well. Overall the complete storyline wasnt as lame as i thought it would be. Last but not the least, the action stunts were very enjoyable.

The dude inside me was funny. I enjoyed the pace and the way they presented the story. I also love Jung Jin Young in this one and he proved to be a great actor.

However, the scenes with the mother and her ex boyfriend in the body of the young student, although laughable, were a bit off, as it wasn't easy to sympathize and actually imagine that the one talking was not the young student but the mafia boss. However, Jin Young played those scenes masterfully.

Overall, the movie was funny and it had a nice conclusion, as well as good performances.

So, seven out of ten.

Quite funny

The body swap idea has been done before ("Luck Key" comes to mind), so while the story is not really original, it's still a funny movie. The greatest part is the total character change of the fat and shy highschool loser after having absorbed the gangster boss' personality. Really shows that even a fat kid with thick rimmed glasses can be a total alpha male when he carries himself that way. Absolutely hilarous. The movie is kind of stupid and childish at times and it could have been 15 minutes shorter, but ultimately I enjoyed it and had quite a few good laughs.

I don't know before who is jinyoung but after i watch this movie i think jinyoung is talented, he act be like he is really life at the film, i'm very like him now, i hope jinyoung can pacticipate in other Movies or Dramas, but i hopefully much he can participate in K-Drama and gonna be Main Cast, ^^

The story had little potential but they blow it up The only thing i liked about the movie is when the older guy woke up from coma and started acting like a shy teenager

This movie is great. I watch 2 times.

At the second time I laughed more than the first time . There is little bit unnecessary drama about love and all that but overall well scripted.

Hate the kpop stuff but Korean movies are generally well scripted.

No need to be long, this film contains happiness, sadness, humor, etc. Very different from other movies!

Because of this movie i'm crazy about jinyoung :). He's really handsome here, especially when he's doing fights :)

With predictable movie plot theme of body and mind changing, it wasn't predictable story. There were plenty of natural trigger points of reaction to humor. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot playing out.

Under rated amazing comedy

Watch this and judge for yourself what an incredible story this is. The characters are well written and acted and punchline for bullying and harassment just blows your mind. This isn't a thriller, but the cast, screenplay writer and director really should receive recognition for their amazing work.

What would you do if you were bullied all your school life, or you witnessed another being bullied in front of you but couldn't do anything about it?

Would you pretend not to notice and leave the poor helpless victim to be a punching bag for bullies? Can you live with your conscience by walking away from it all?

The right mix of comedy and action

This film was a great comedy with just the right amount of violence. Absolutely loved Jang Pan Su in Kim Dong Hyun's body and his character development during the two-hour film.

The one thing I loved the most was Jang Pan Su's relationship with Oh Mi Sun while his soul was in a body of a teenage Kim Dong Hyun. Their relationship didn't come off as illegal or perverted because Mi Sun was a middle-aged woman and Pan Su was in a body of a teenager as she set clear boundaries. However, their conversations were really humorous as she talked about their kid and how he ruined her life and left while she was talking to a teenage boy.

Totally recommend.

Totally worth watching!

Think '17 Again' with comedy which hits and a gangster twist. I was caught off guard by not only how funny it is, also the fun action scenes. The performances of Jung Jin-young and Park Sung-woong were brilliant and totally had me bought into the premise. Sung-woong in particular steals the show in the final act of the film.

The only thing which prevents it from getting a perfect score in my opinion is some of the plot points take a lot of suspension of disbelief. However, any gripes with the movie were easy enough to overlook considering how good of a ride it was!

Extremely funny. The mafia guy as the fat kid had me on the floor

It all starts with a chance encounter at a food store where the fat kid is eating and the mafia boss goes there to eat. He didn't seem to thrilled with the food so he got up to pay. He wound up paying for the kids meal as well. The lady then came out and said something I don't remember what. The next thing you know that kid falls off the roof and the mob boss breaks his fall. They both wind up in the hospital and the mans spirit winds up in the boys body. The man is still in a coma. So the boy who is now the mob boss goes back to the school and the hilariousness ensues. He set the kids straight and in the end makes them transfer out of the school therefore solving the kids problem. Mi Ran plays his love interest and that's hilarious also, especially the scene where the boy with the mobsters body kisses her. I definitely recommend this to anyone. This is worth watching. The actor that played the mob boss and Mi ran doesn't disappoint as usual . Now I have seen how beautiful Mi ran really is as I have always seen her in roles in which she dresses up very plain and hides her beautify.
