Enjoyable modern mystical romance
Jackbv12316 June 2020
This charming romance story is based on a mystical or fantasy premise. A woman in a coma dreams about being married to a man she later meets who turns out to exactly fit the man in the dream. It is a bit of a different premise which is refreshing. It also has a flavor of a few movies about people whose real life marriage is interrupted while they wake up in a world where they never married that person but get a chance to see how both lives turned out otherwise. (A slightly different take on it is the 2000 movie Family Man where the man wakes up and is suddenly married with family to the woman he long ago left behind. An even different take on a similar theme is Sliding Doors which follows two parallel universe versions of a woman's life based on one version where she missed making a connection and one where she didn't miss it.) If you didn't guess, I like this kind of stuff.

The two leads have obvious chemistry and those actors do a fine job. We get to see the relationship develop in a realistic way. The two main characters are totally likeable and if anything they are both a little too perfect.

I agree with another reviewer in that I was totally annoyed by her parents, but fortunately those scenes are relatively small. There is also a rival girlfriend which I thought was done just about right.

Yes it's predictable, but that doesn't make the ending any less heartwarming.

Interesting story
phd_travel10 January 2020
The premise is interesting and involving - a woman awakes from a coma remembering a husband and kids she never had. Later she meets the man in her memories when she is sent to work for him as a temp. Rachel Skarsten acts quite well. Brant Daugherty plays the man. You want to see how things turn out. Is it a premonition of her future life? How does she know things about him and their life together. Better story than the average Hallmark movie.

Psychological thriller
roddygf26 April 2020
Hallmark movie "Timeless Love" is the story of a young woman going into a coma following a car accident and experiences her future family. A novel twist on time travel theme which is plausible in the Psychologist Carl Jung's theory of the unconscious mind where our future is prepared before being lived out. Cast beautifully performed and directed.

Good romantic TV movie
Sergiodave1 May 2020
For a rainy sunday afternoon this isn't bad. The storyline is pretty original, which gave it an extra star, the acting was good and it had a nice feel. Schmaltzy yet enjoyable.

Better Hallmark Movie
bachristoferson29 April 2021
I have to admit this was one of the better Hallmark movies. Not the usual script with a little twist at the beginning. Enjoyed the movie.

Charming love
TheLittleSongbird14 July 2022
Have been on a Hallmark film roll for a few years now, first for a while just watching the Christmas films but started watching and reviewing films from the other seasonal blocks late last year. 'Timeless Love' is one of the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries films and had a great alluring premise that's a little different to usual. One of the best premises of that year's Hallmark Movies and Mysteries films. Am not hugely familiar with most of the cast, the most familiar name is Brant Daugherty who has been watchable in what has been seen of his.

'Timeless Love' was very well done on the whole. Is it a masterpiece or perfect? No. Does it live up to its premise? Yes and delivers even more. Is it one of the better Hallmark Movies and Mysteries films from that year? Again yes, it was a variable year for that block but more often than not watchable and 'Timeless Love' certainly for me hit more than it missed. As far as the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries films go, or at least the ones seen recently, it's one of the better ones.

Starting with what isn't perfect, it did for my tastes end too tidily.

Do agree with those too regarding the unsympathetic portrayal of the parents, which took away from the charm at times.

Rachel Skarsten gives a deeply committed and heartfelt performance that is something of a revelation at her best. Daugherty supports her very sympathetically and really liked their understated but very charming chemistry. The supporting cast all play their parts well and the characters on the whole were interesting and easy to relate to, not many overblown character flaws or over-perfection. The script doesn't take itself too seriously while treating a serious subject with respect.

On the whole, the story is immensely charming and has a light hearted-ness at times and a poignancy often. There is even a mysterious surreal quality that was quite striking and something not seen a lot with Hallmark. The mystery element is always intriguing and isn't unrealistic or dull. 'Timeless Love' is attractively photographed with lovely scenery, confidently directed and the scoring doesn't come over as too loud or too constant.

Concluding, very well done. 8/10.

nice premise
Kirpianuscus22 October 2021
Honestly, I love it. A rare feeling about a Hallmark movie for me. But the premise is just seductive, the performances - not bad, the supporting characters real well used. A love story with taste of fairy tale, modern, charming, predictable but interesting. Rachel Skarsten gives an admirable Megan, Brant Daugherty is the fair Prince Charming, the unrealistic pieces are minor and the film has the gift to propose not exactly a story but the seed of beautiful state. A charming film, a beautiful job, fair result.

Love Time Is Less
lalighton8 September 2020
Great premise. Great opening. However, the initial real relationship between Megan and Thomas post coma is awkward and painful and jarring. Less is not more in this case.

Very cool dram/rom with a welcome dash of Twilight Zone
stevepat993 May 2020
This film with its quality acting, unique story line and totally talented Rachel Skarsten who played Megan is now one of my favorites of this interesting genre. Yes, there have been films involving sudden disappearance of family members but not anywhere near to the unique story line here. One person slammed her parents severely and yet they were reasonably acting on total disbelief given the inexplicable situation. Certainly Megan understood their quandary.

Enter Thomas and the story takes flight. This was a super easy, well crafted, acted and filmed piece that was a delight from start to super lovely ending.

The script was spot on in handling Megan's reaction to her situation and those around her. She never gives in and never gives up. And then the first huge, fun twist as she arrives for her new job.

The ride is similar to Twilight Zone episodes that leave you wondering where it is going and how exactly it will get there.

Unique, quirky, well acted, fun tale that leaves many, like me, ready to watch it again!

Family Man style romance, a pleasant departure for Hallmark.
cgvsluis16 September 2021
Megan wakes up after being in a coma for two months after a car accident. While in a coma she has very vivid dreams about being married to a photographer Thomas and having two children with him. When she wakes up...it turns out none of it was real, except she finds Thomas in the real world. Thomas has a girlfriend and of course everyone thinks she is crazy.

This is a Family Man like romance. The acting is great and the story was pretty good too. I recommend watching.

Uncomfortable watch
abower129116 January 2021
Did no one else get major second hand embarrassment from this movie? Like it was so awkward when she kept letting on that she knew way too much about him and if I were him I would have run. Change the channel to lifetime and pop in a different soundtrack and you would literally have a psycho stalker movie. And the way she just kept lamenting over the whole thing was just honestly weird. Also, her parents were like aggressively unbearable. Yuck.

Head & Shoulders Above The Normal Hallmark Movie!
jagfannn7 November 2020
This is a fantastic story, extremely interesting, the keeping you on the edge of your seat kind of interesting and unique (for Hallmark) no formula. The cast did a great job, I think the Dad could've been better cast, but you can't have everything. I knew this movie was totally different from the normal Hallmark offering so I read up a little and learned this was written by Donovan Barlow and was the first things he's ever done (or made it to the screen at least). Excellent job Sir, I look forward to your next story. Well worth a watch or two!

Pretty good for this genre
drogon-247934 February 2020
Film is quite good for the genre, primarily because the lead actress has some serious acting chops, and the writing is not saccharine. The male lead was pretty good also, but did not need to carry the film.

Poor acting
jacmail8 June 2020
Originally an interesting story, but just too thin to hold a full movie. The movie lasts only 82 minutes and gets boring, as there is not enough stuff in the story to warrant a full movie. The acting is terrible all around. None of the actors is credible in his/her role. An amateurish movie poorly executed.

Cute movie afterall. And nothing there to be blamed of everything was good. But I'd have been more satisfied if the movie got twisting climax.

what just happened here?
rebekahrox23 June 2020
This woman gets pregnant and delivers 2 children and they weren't real? what was the deal with the clock? Did she go back in time? Were the first couple minutes of the movie just a sneak peak into her future? If it was just a dream why did she meet the dream man in real life? If she hadn't had that dream would she have met him anyway and felt the same way about him? Did she have the same kids eventually? Would her real life be forever influenced by her memories of her dream? Would she have to still live in that same house? decorate it it the same way? So many questions. Rachel Skarsden did a great job, and I did enjoy the movie.

They hit it out of the ballpark with this one!
pioneerways21 August 2020
Congratulations to the director, writers, cast, and crew. (When will the soundtrack and DVD be available? Yes, please!) The storyline is an interesting one: a woman-still in a coma resulting from a car accident-experiences the joys and love of family life, only to lose it all when she awakens. The consequent loneliness she feels as she tries to deal with returning to normal, single life is apparent and moving. The first time she meets her "future" husband in person and shakes his hand, you can see her longing for what she has lost and longs to find again. The music added tremendously to the movie, bringing home the emotions spot-on. The subtle, humorous parts are fun and work well. This movie takes you through a very powerful spectrum of emotions, from love to loss to admiration to recognition and to "timeless, growing appreciation and sweet, enduring love." Enjoy the journey!

Meh
frumstyle27 February 2020
Overall, a fun Hallmark-style dull soap opera movie. The premise is cute, but everything else could have been improved. The dialogue was forced, the main actress has majorly distracting RBF, Megan's father actor was awful, and the score sounded like the composer was pressing the same faux string section keyboard notes over and over and over again. No drama, predictable, but still cute with a satisfying ending.

Fell in Love
klovemathieu27 January 2020
I loved this movie. The story is captivating and exudes hope, love and goodness. Megan, the main character is beautifully portrayed by Rachel equally matched by the leading man, Thomas. I loved it so much that I watched it twice. Multiple meanings may stir your imagination such as your fate is determined.. The cinematography amplifies the glistening scenery. The soundtrack swirls around repetitively grasping the emotions and not letting go of the hopeful theme. One might say it's a contrived story but that's truly secondary to the enjoyment it gives.

Too much music
tinliz-1601721 February 2020
I enjoyed the movie, but the constant music was annoying for me. I don't understand why filmmakers think they have to put background music through almost the entire movie.

Liberal use of fast-forward advised
jhalley119 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Extraordinarily predictable even for this feel-good genre. One can visualize how this film was pitched to producers, e.g. "It's a much simplified low budget version of the 'Family Man' from 2000 turned upside down with the female lead as the central character instead of the male lead and with a short dream sequence at the beginning instead of a longer dream sequence later". The actors are mostly competent but what script writer would have even parents-from-hell act that way towards a daughter moments after she emerged from a two month long coma? I guess the script writer had to use a sledgehammer to make a point so that the story could quickly continue. For all its faults, this film should deliver exactly what its target audience wants.

It's about TIME!
texasfolk19 June 2020
Finally a Hallmark movie that kept my attention. Yeah, I knew they'd be together at the end, but it wasn't a typical Hallmark lovie dovie schmaltz. Both lead were excellent. Acting was spot on and believable. Well written. Funny and serious but mainly ORIGINAL!! Loved it and I have watched every new movie for years. My compliments to the chef. And the director. As we say in the restaurant business, "Well done".

Finally a Romance Movie I don't have to turn off.
LukeCustomer25 March 2023
This movie has its problems. Most of the cast acting is horrible. I mean really it seems like they pulled them right off the street. Whomever did the music seems to have left it playing the entire time. It is like you are watching a movie with elevator music in the background. But, having a good acting lead(s) and a compelling plot makes this movie a decent romance.

The plot is compelling. A woman in a coma has a realistic dream of her husband and children. When she awakens, to her, it is as if it happened... but she accepts that it was not real. That is until she returns to work and is assigned to work for person in her dream. Now this woman knows this is her husband but can't act too weird or say anything and has to endure his dating another woman.

I have to give credit to the two leads Rachel Skarsten and Brant Daugherty who I thought did well with the unusual situation. There wasn't crazy chemistry but they seemed to like each other and I enjoyed watching them.

I Was Disappointed
mammamia70127 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I was really looking forward to watching this one. It seemed so different. Well, I was so disappointed. Of course they are together at the end, this is a Hallmark movie after all. I didn't care for the actresses in this movie. I simply could not see the chemistry between the characters. For me, this was a big miss! I know many of you enjoyed it, but I felt there could be a little humor and not so melodramatic. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood from such a dramatic movie, I don't know. However, I doubt I'll watch this one again, as I do with so many of Hallmark's movies.

I felt this movie had so much potential to add some humor and still be dramatic.....or did I miss something?.... But for me, it simply dragged on and on and on....only for the kiss at the end!

A surprisingly good movie
bmiller5916 September 2020
Wasn't sure if we would enjoy this. The deeper we got in the movie the better and better it got. A great story, though it started off kind of dark. Great chemistry between the two leads.

Yea, really enjoyed it.
