No one is innocent
nogodnomasters9 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It has some spoilers. The film centers on David Shepard (Bryan G. Thompson) who works for Harris Corp a government special ops contractor. They are in competition with Blackstone and XRC. They are being pushed out so they pay one group to kill the other in what was a minor plot point.

David loses his wife in what appeared to be an accidental alien autopsy explosion. Alien DNA has used on humans to prevent disease and now they want them all dead. This is David's job, who is reluctant to kill innocent people.

The film takes bad to a new low level. The acting and dialogue were a laugh as was the CG explosions.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

Vanity Project

Warning: Spoilers
The problem with this silly movie is it wasn't made by a real film company. It's an action film that requires a significant money investment so that the action scenes seem real. This film is certainly more sophisticated than what you or I could do with an iPhone, but the acting, dialog, plot and production are just terrible. I did watch it to the end, only because it was a mere 76 minutes long. The writer-director-lead actor responsible for this obviously has ambition and was able to see a project to its completion. Absent any Hollywood studio backing him, he would be better off trying to use his limited resources in a more creative way, that needs less special effects. A movie like Blair Witch Project, or even Annie Hall, would better suit his budget. He really has to get better actors. The torturer in the first scene was his best actor. The woman in charge or his outfit was beyond terrible, as was the woman playing his wife. The US President was horribly written, too. It's really a one-star movie but I'm giving two (out of ten) simply for getting the movie finished and on the screen.

An Authentically Bad Film and No Plot End
cjstanford-6509721 November 2022
I watched it through to the end which was no easy feat. I'll break this down in three pieces: plot, production and acting. The plot by far was the best element of this film. An assignment to kill or tie off all lose ends of a Sci-fi type experiment is contracted by the government. But an agent goes rogue and wants to protect the unwilling subjects of the experiment and possibly expose their latent supernatural powers. If their truth comes to light it could cause political types to lose credibility and power. But That plot is abandoned and the survival of the rogue agent/group becomes the central plot which isn't obvious until the end. As a sub-plot Several para-military, intelligence contractors are competing for the off-book government assignment by trying to decimate each other.. The film barely touches on the sci-fi related experiment after dangling it as the core of the plot. The acting is all across the board, but most of it is amateurish and there doesn't appear to be a big enough budget to retake bad shots. Assuming single take shots, the two lead actors are probably competent. The production quality is abysmal. There's too much hand held camera work terrible lighting which makes virtually every scene look fake and plastic. Exposure control is lacking- some scenes are over exposed while others are dark. Im not an expert but it's like they used outdoor film indoors and vice versa. The director tried to limit the special effects probably because of sub-standard materials and expertise, but he should have avoided it altogether. The sets are terrible, for example, the US Vice President seems to work out of a college classroom. Somebody spent some money on this because there's a helicopter in one scene. The movie ends without a plot conclusion. It's almost like a pilot for a series. If that's a spoiler, I apologize.
