My my what a bad ending to a great Show
limbikanidambuleni10 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Man when Power started I was excited to watch season after season was good after Season 5 it's all a bit of a mess.

It was believable at least to start with now it's just some soap opera being stretched its clear they ran out of ideas to develop the characters.

This episode is predictable who killed Ghost, the death of Andre could've been done a lot better . To think Tariq is going to outsmart Ghost and did? Really? Tariq? Ghost played chess with the best of them but Tariq kills him? Gets away with it? TARIQ? REALLY? MAN am out here ......what a mess

One of the dumbest endings ever. All the evidence made it look like Andre killed Ghost and him being dead made it perfect because he couldn't talk so I don't understand why Tasha had to frame the other guy. Writers tried to over think this one. Instead of Tasha looking like the hero for taking the murder she looked stupid for not leaving it alone.

Power Decisions Were Personal, Rather than Creative
selketentr10 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the After Show. I was hoping to get an understanding as to why the three -- (Tasha, Tariq and Sachs) most undeserving and disliked characters survived to have their own spin off show?? I observed a lot of love, emotions and even confusion among the writer, director and actors. I hope I'm wrong, but it seemed as though Tasha survived because Courtney empathized with the way Tasha was treated throughout. Courtney and the writers portrayed Tasha to be selfish and naive and disloyal to her man...before Ghost was unfaithful to her. Tasha slept with, and manipulated men for her own purposes. She used her friends. She had no moral compus and could not support her son when he needed her most. The viewers never really related to Tasha's story and never developed a sense of support for Tasha. The same for Tariq. From feedback I've read, viewers did not like the Tariq character, and could not root for him to win. IMO, the audience never developed the love and emotion that the cast and staff had for these two characters. I was not surprised that Tariq shot Ghost. I wish that Kanan was not brought back -- IMO, that was ridiculous. In addition, Sachs got his job back. Why? He was another unlikable character. I would have preferred a more thoughtful, realistic, and creative ending.

On the other hand, as terrible as Ghost and Tommy were, the audience wanted to see them win. Sort of like the Dexter series. Dexter was renewed 8 times because fans developed an affection for a serial killer.

Poor ending
mark_nffc-496789 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Good show but these past few episodes, apart from the Tommy one have been boring and this last episode was so predictable. Was obvious it was Tariq from the start. N who's gonna watch a spin off about a character everyone hates?

Forced ending
chasedaniels9 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was OK. From the beginning of the season, they kept changing Ghost to be more and more of a selfish ignorant cruel evil person just so they could make his death more satisfying which just didn't work. Also poor writing and rushed deaths throughout the season. Examples: why would Benny, as a badass dude that he is, come at Tommy with just a knife for killing his cousin? How did tasha know where Terry's body was at and why didn't she report it as soon as she found out? Paz practically carried a gun everyone including a federal building but still hasn't gotten caught. She walked into his club looking extremely out of place wearing bubble coat, pulls a gun out in public and no security. Also, how did Paz know where Tasha lived? I felt the ultimate and perfect way for him to go was by going to jail. More natural way and much less forced and didn't have to change who Ghost was as a person

Rubbish ending! The most hated character gets away with everything. The only fitting ending was for Andre and Tasha. After all that Ghost did for Taric, that ungrateful, whiney, wannabe gangster didn't even get a slap on the wrist. Tommy should of killed him.

sonerayanlar28 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Well this was a great show. However. There were many holes in the storyline Like everone knows who Ghost is, FBI, law enforcements got no clue. How is that possible. Riq is a crminal mastermind at that age??!! So many emotions change anyway Still good one to see.

Reasonable end poorly executed
dmanmotherf9 February 2020
Since the season 1 you know that ghost's story was likely to end this way and the vessel in which it was carried out in was clear since about season 4. The only issue I had was how they went about it. I felt the last 5 episodes to reach this obvious conclusion was creative and kind of cool because it started filling in little gaps since about 609, but the shows already poor acting from everyone from ghost makes the show suffer. The show attempts to be a character development type of show in it's last episode instead of the exciting story based show it was intended to be. Tommy's episode was cool but the rest felt like it was meant to extend the show when they could have closed it with two episodes explaining what happened. The way they try to force the "who did it?" angle was a bit much too instead of it just playing out naturally. A creative way to end a show and I like the concept, I just feel this wasn't the show to do that with. I feel if you wanted to have a gangster show with it ending on a "who did it?" ending, Boardwalk Empire or Sopranos would have been more appropriate.

I would give it a 0 if I could
Aman10179 February 2020
I've been watching this show since the beginning and this is the ending we got? You leaked your own show and it was so terrible. You had 2 weeks to atleast switch it up because you guys "filmed multiple endings" but did nothing. This could have been so much better and I am devastated.

Solid
brandonneicke11 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was fairly realistic. A lot of the reviews saying they didn't like Tariq or and Kesha but that's how it goes in that life. They were just bags, ghost was a good dude who tried to change but couldn't because he was always dragged down by family. You're not suppose to like Tariq, selfish little spoiled kid that was given everything only to kill his father. I would have gave this ending 10 if we saw an ending for tommy. However sometimes it's better to imagine your own ending for him. I thought it was perfect Kesha got caught I was hoping Tariq would get caught too but he will get killed eventually anyway he isn't built quite like ghost.

Could have been worse
peach00730 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Not the best ending, but I have seen worse. The ending for Tasha was quite satisfying. Tariq was really, really annoying. Spoiled want to be gangster, who starts crying when he could possibly go to jail and his father doesn't want to help him out anymore. I kept hoping Ghost would knock him out hard or that Tommy would show up in the end to throw him from a roof after all. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, so I am only giving this 6 out of 10. Besides Tariq being annoying, it wasn't such a bad episode. If you want to see a real bad series finale, go watch Dexter.

What happened to this season?
yippykiyay899 February 2020
This whole season was a train wreck. With the season finale as the worst episode with the cherry on top. Game of Thrones all over again. If they make a Tariq spinoff, I will not be watching it! What horrible writing

Ruined by a terrible last series.
dflufc10 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Loved it from the start so many different plot lines and interesting characters. Tried to be cleverer than it really was in the end lots of rushed deaths, dres death should have been more satisfying than it was. Last series tried to make us hate ghost but we want him to win. Anyone else remember that it was Tasha that cheated first before she even knew about Ghost and Angela?

Glad it's over it was more of a chore than a pleasure.

Tariq can't act
tw-nuninga11 February 2020
My my what a horrible last season. The most annoying character (Tariq) gets way too much screentime. I don't know how this kid got cast, he is unbelievable and looks insecure about acting. All he does is lick his lips and wines. Hope to never see him again on tv or a movie..

Great ending for an amazing show
felipetadra11 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I honestly don't understand why people are mad about how the show ended. The whole point of the episode is that despite Tariq trying super hard to not become like his father, at the end, he turned out just like Ghost. That's why an otherwise boring character survived and that's why the spinoff will feature him, apparently as Ghost.

Showing different angles in the past 5 episodes was a creative way to end the show. Yea it dragged a bit too long, but cmon, the show was phenomenal, cut the writers some slack.

There are some inconsistencies throughout this season and on the last episode though. Arrests without strong evidence, Tasha trying to frame Q even though Dre's death fit in perfectly with their story (as he wouldn't be able to defend himself), Saxe becoming Fed's again for absolutely no reason, but still, I was extremely satisfied to see a logical ending to the show that didn't try to force any weird narrative or stunts just to make it look good. Power's ending was a bit predictable and the fact that they went for it shows a consistent and believable story all around.

I've seen people giving the episode a 1/10 and I honestly couldn't disagree more. It ended like it was supposed to, added meaning to Tariq's story (otherwise he'd still be the same annoying spoiled son), put an end to Ghost's character (before they screwed it up with politics) and set the show up for the spinoff.

No. No you are not Tariq. You're an annoying, spoiled, poor wanna be. Changing Ghost into a sanctimonious wife beater overnight didn't work. It was painfully obvious. Poor writing.

Quite possibly worse than the ending of Dexter or GOT. The only two characters people really cared about, were non existent? The two characters everyone despised, finished the Series? Waste of time.

Pure Rubbish
horacemcfarlane15 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
They killed the show when they killed Ghost. The show started with JSP a nightclub owner who'd greatest desire was to create legitimate wealth for his family. But he had resistance and his greatest opposition from those closest to him. His wife and his brother Tommy. He even tried to help Dre get off the streets. But then in this last season I don't know what happened. If they were going to kill anyone it shouldn't have been Ghost. Tasha wanted to keep living life on the streets, she ended up with the choice to sacrifice for her son. Tommy, should have got his, although I'd rather have seen them both live. Dre got his. Cooper Sachs should have gone to prison, as much of the wrongs JSP and Tommy had did was because of this crooked over zealous jumped up weasel. Whilst Tommy was killing everyone who endangered his liberty, JSP would pay them to go away. To be honest, for someone meant to be so smart, he should have realized that it didn't work, as everyone he gave money to, always came back. But this was a guy, trying everything to walk a straight line. But there were more crooked people in high places, crooked cops, bad influence wife and brother and to top it all a dumb, sorry a thick son, who considered his father a mortal enemy because he had tried to shield his son from the thug life. JSP had all this to fight against, but never gave up trying to go straight, but the show made him Public Enemy no.1. The show got so bad that they even made the last few episodes about characters we didn't know or even care about. Cedric The Entertainer, the dude from God friended me, Councilman Tate's Family, Angela's family. I truly hope they don't try to create a spinoff about Tariq, I won't be watching. To be honest, I usually don't watch the stereotypical movies/tv shows about drugs/thug life, but this was different. Did they change the writers, because where the show started and where it ended were miles apart. The writers of this last Season should never work again. We saw glimpses of who Ghost was in earlier Seasons when he was in prison, but in the last couple of Seasons they turned him into a p*ssy, with everyone barking orders at him. The moral of the story I guess, should be not to try and improve your life, and to make sure we instill the bad values we've learned in life to our Children. As JSP tried to live a good life, tried to raise his children in a world where they wouldn't see the things he had. But he made more and more enemies ultimately those he was trying to protect the most were the ones who wanted to take his life. I understand that the writers need to write conflict into the story, but after they killed Angela, he deserved to end up with Ramona. Tasha should have went down, Tate should have lost everything, and Cooper Sachs should have been put in Prison. Just like End Games, they should have filmed two versions of the last Season, before putting this s**t on television. The show had such possibilities, but to put this out as the last season, what a waste of 6 years.

Awful
chrisjuggins11 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show has got rapidly worse, this last episode was lazy and pretty much all of it was old scenes I'd seen in previous episodes. Such an anti climax. Tariq did it wow what a surprise! I'll not be watching any of the spin offs either, think they'll die a death. Such a shame cause it started out so well. If you want a good gritty drama watch The Wire.

Better then 10 last episodes.
BiggaHD9 February 2020
Compared to the rest of this season, this was not bad at all. The show had to end, and this ending makes sense to me. Yes, they dragged it for way too long, and no they obviously didn't filmed multiple endings, but I didn't watched the leaked version and I'm glad i didn't, so I was able to watch it in Full HD. I agree with most of the bad comments regarding the previous few episodes, but not this one.

So frustrating
zainalicoc10 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode, and the last few episodes of this final season other than the episodes focused on Tommy and Dre, have all been extremely poor for what was one of my favourite shows. The idea to present the story in a non chronological order and then put all the jigsaw pieces together in the final episode was good in theory but the execution was beyond poor. The outcome was obvious to most people and there wasn't enough twists and turns to sustain interest in the 'who killed ghost' story. In the end, the narrative just felt jumbled and unfulfilling, with this final episode being an unmitigated disaster. The first 20 minutes especially were borderline unwatchable, with CONSTANT camera cuts and the main factor driving the story being someone's phone buzzing and filling them in on the plot they needed for it to make some sense. The episode picked up when Ghost became more involved, but this episode was nowhere near as fulfilling as it should have been. It was obvious that Tariq was going to be the one to kill Ghost, and that Tasha would be the one who would go to prison for it. The way the storyline got to this was a jumbled mess personally, it could have been done so much better. The last part of S6 has lessened the impact of Ghost's death, and has just numbed the series as a whole. It should have been done so, so much better. Meh.
